Sorry man, feeling the pain a bit ourselves but we need to adult our way through it. Gonna hang up the roadcourse days for a while. Several reasons behind it. The expense vs cart trackdays ( which are closer to home, as well ), I don't have a bike anymore that really suits a roadcourse in a fulfilling way. Don't wanna beat on my Sprint ( plus it's quite a pig to throw around ) and my supermoto is in the middle of getting setup for mild race duty the next season or 2.

Stayed there at my inaugural Gap trip. Nice place, but it's out in the sticks in Lower Stecoah and have to preplan your riding around their meal times if you want to order from their abbreviated menu/meal schedule. It is a nice place though

The MotoGP bikes and tires are a completely different animal than what's available everyday to us lowly consumers. GP bikes are way more capable and their tire compounds/profiles are equally top notch. Not to mention, Marquez damn near drags his shoulder when he's deep in a corner - his taint is probably resting on the right side case cover in that pic

Chicken strips may exist on a guys bike that's running faster than another rider using all of their tire. It's all dependent on how much the rider is getting off the side of the bike. The tire will eventually run beyond it's edge and then down you go, but it's relative to how much you're getting "inside" of the bike in a corner. From my limited experience, the more of you that's off the seat, the less lean angle you'll need to carry similar speeds through a corner. Am I right?

I've only ever done trackdays on my street bikes, but I'm just a lowly novice rider and only push to within the limits I feel that particular day....but I'm not saying you ride beyond your skillset, nor that I know what my limits are until I come close to exceeding them. That said, I'd probably never even attempt to claim damages from a crash on track as I accepted all of that liability in advance. If it ever happens I may question my agent about it since coverage is likely just however they were to code the claim - but skeptical they'd cover damages in that scenario. That could be how it's worded to the agent, as well.....but without a police report, would probably fall under comprehensive anyway. As for medical, I carried Aflac along side my health insurance to help buffer any additional injury.....but just for peace of mind for little money.
