  1. I'm trying to find a new set of boots. Size 11. Something OK for a few trackdays, full length, toe sliders, street/ race boot...no preference on brands. Any recommendations?
  2. I'm thinking something like the Alpinestars on IP's closeout page would be good. (size 11) Something OK for a trackday,,, Under $200
  3. Hey all, I need to replace a set of old nasty boots, what is the best place to find boots,,,, and by best I mean cheapest...... I would prefer to support OR sponsors if possible, so who on here is great to deal with??
  4. Why did you cut a hole in it in the first place?
  5. I had the same year bike, swap that stock exhaust for a hi-mount micron, and that was it. I SHOULD HAVE NEVER SOLD THAT BIKE!!!! But anyways, I think I do want something different. I think I want to try a V-twin. Something with immediate torque... I think I will just keep an eye out and see what pops up...
  6. Also, yes please.... or the V4. But not in my budget...
  7. Umm, yeah, but i thought that was obvious!! I looked for quite some time for a '98, The FZ1 ended up being a smoking deal...too good too pass up.
  8. I think the FZ6 is quite a bit smaller. My FZ1 feels like a truck at times, I miss my old VFR (97, last year for 750 with carbs and gear driven cams...) and wish I never sold it. At times I really miss the side to side instantaneous transition and feather weight feeling of a full on sport bike. My back and wrists certainly appreciate the upright FZ1. I'm torn....
  9. SHOW ME PICTURES!!! Is your avatar your RC51??
  10. I have been commuting on my 06 FZ-1 for 2 years now, and it is the most practical bike I have ever owned. After some small mods It has decent fuel economy, rather comfortable, Liter bike power and acceleration, but it has never dived into the corners the way a proper sport bike would, and no amount of fiddling with shocks, fork settings or anything has really made it feel the way I would like it to. Anyways, I have noticed I have been commuting less, and doing more weekend romps through what ever twisties I can find. I am looking over trackdays trying to find ones that fit into my schedule as well. I am thinking about going back to a proper sportbike. And if I do, I have lusted over a SP-2 RC-51 in ways that would make this thread NSFW. The thing is, I would still occasionally commute on the bike, and my commute is 45 miles. Which happens to be a lot of time when folded into the uncomfortable crouch of a supersport. Is ditching the FZ1 and trying to find a V-twin dumb?????
  11. I have a beat up old mid 90's integra that i will be getting rid of as soon as the company car arrives. Right now it has 237,000 miles on it and needs some work. She burns a little oil, and leaks a few drops on the exhaust. Most noticeable is that it needs CV boots/ joints on both sides up front. I priced out parts on rockauto.com and can replace the entire axle assy and both wheel bearings on the front for about 250bucks after shipping.. My dilemma is this. Do I sell the car as is, and accept a bit less for it, or do I replace axles and wheel bearing and hope that I get more for the car than parts cost that I put it to it??
  12. Balance transfer to card with 0% intro APR Make Woman Work and pay back debt as fast as possible
  13. Your bike looked amazing! I wish i could have heard it as you went by... Are they really as great as the magazines claimed them to be?
  14. I seriously regret not picking this up when I had the chance!
  15. Hey everyone, I'm trying to lower the bars on my FZ-1. I have heard that SV 650 stock bar risers bolt right in and drop the bars about an inch. Does anyone have a pair of SV650 bar risers they would like to sell? Thanks,
  16. VFR = Best bike ever. I miss mine so much!!!!
  17. You really can't go wrong with this guy! I left a set of wheels on my porch in the morning, and by the time I was done with work, two new tires found their way on them. Awesome deals on tires, unbelievably convenient, and super fast!
  18. Indeed it was. Talked to Hoblick via PMs, one phone call, and then suddenly I had two new tires waiting for me when I got home. Could not have been any easier!
  19. I needed new tires on my FZ-1, so I got in contact with Hoblick of Shop dog cycles. I got a great deal on a pair of Continental Road attacks, an Ohio Riders discount to the mount and balance, and service at my front door, for way less than the last time I put tires on at a giant local shop. Did all the details through PMs on here, he was super easy to deal with and always responded to PMs quite quickly. I was able to leave my wheels on my front porch in the morning, and when I came home two new tires were mounted up! It was the easiest thing I have ever done! You can't go wrong with this shop, great deals, easy to work with, and he will drive to your front door! Amazing!
  20. Ohhh... 98 VFR... Still has gear driven cams, but now with FI and no silly VTEC. I looked so freaking hard to replace my 97 with a 98 it physically hurt! I think I am leaning towards the dunlops just as I have had such awesome experience with dunlops in the past..
