  1. Does that Grattan STT invitation plug come with an OR discount? I am looking to ride Grattan and with STT again. Welcome
  2. Rossi is going to light Lorenzo's fire like no one else and push him to ride for the championship. Pedrosa and Marcquez will keep it interesting and if Dani can finally learn to ride a full race, every race, he has a chance.
  3. My wife has a really nice Klein Pulse Race hardtail that she never really liked. Bike was always sweet to ride and was worth far more than what I could ever sell it for. So, I have been hauling this bike around for years in hopes that one of my daughters would grow into it. Today was that day. It was awesome to see her pedaling away on it. A wash and a few upgrades would be nice but a quick little spin on it reminded me how responsive a hardtail can be. Damn, now I want my Attitude back.
  4. If you want a bike like that to tour on with a pillion, get the touring version. Kawasaki Connie, BMW K13/16GT, Sprint ST or Vstrom. No sport bike is going to be pillion favorable for more than a short ride. Sport bikes have a way of putting the pillion up high and above the rider with no back rest and little in the way padding. Suspension is a bit on the stiff side and high pegs. GT bikes will relax the pillion position and provide more baggage options. Ducati Multistrada might be a better option or one of the BMW ST/GT bikes. FJR, ST1300, NT700 are some other not so sexy options. Need for pillion and amount of miles for the pillion will be your defining criteria. Many bikes can tour solo but not many can carry your passenger in comfort for long distances.
  5. Ok. this Korea shit is getting a bit scary. Warmonger USA loves nothing more than to piss in everyone's cheerios and very rarely backs down from a socialist challenge. China being the wild card again as it was before. Pulse - this going to happen and what is the play? Will China contain its puppet or is the kid looking to save his neck by tying the rope himself? For now, I am going to cash.
  6. bahm another kawisuki. I really like the naked bike concept (came close to buying but chose the Hypermotard) but rarely ever see them on the road. I have to think this is a better Euro model.
  7. Graduation isn't for another month. I think we need to see the skeepskin first. Nice bike. So, is the old bike now a track bike?
  8. What would Jackie Robinson do, if
  9. 529 plans are not that great. One thing that hindered them in the past and may still is that they are state plans and the funds are not available if your kids goes to school out of state and if I remember right, they become a PITA if you move. We moved 4 different states now so I just went with a normal investment account. Put it into a managed fund and you can get better returns than you are now.
  10. City of Dayton is promoting "pop up" store fronts downtown as a way to develop the area. She just heard about this and I don't know the particulars.
  11. You can get a true Chicago dog at Scruffy's in Springboro. Check it out. I too have thought of doing something like this but I am convinced you need to go upscale as a Charcuterie and do "adult" dogs. That means old world style sausages with really good bread and toppings. Do it up SUbway style where you come in and pick your bread, sausage (grilled, boiled, fried), toppings and done. #1, you have to sell beer with dem brauts. Add in some really good meat sandwiches. Check out Hot Dougs in Chicago www.hotdougs.com Good Dog/Bad Dog in Portland (sucks that they moved to the airport) http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/24/1685165/restaurant/Northeast/Good-Dog-Bad-Dog-Portland and the granddaddy of them all, Brat Stop in WI. http://www.bratstop.com/
  12. I am going to go with the padded under garments suggestion. The Kevlar jeans are nice and all but do nothing to protect your bones and muscles. There is a reason most sports where pads under their gear - it works. Buy a pair of jeans (mens if need be) that are a size or two wider and put the pads on underneath. Maybe this link will help: http://www.womenridersnow.com/pages/APPAREL_REVIEW_Kevlar_Lined_Jeans_with_Amazing_Style.aspx
  13. I hate these whiney bastards. He bought an action camera that could do time-lapse and when it can't capture 5 days of pics, he bitches. Go buy a time lapse camera and make it do action shots with mega vibration or hold it while hucking a 40'ft cornice and then come back and bitch. Ok, camera has a bug but then, what piece of software doesn't. It is only when people start testing the boundries and using a product that is not its intended purpose that these issue are found. Company knows about the issue, working on a solution and offered to fix it. Ce La Vi! I bought mine and love it. I bought it to use it as it was designed to be use and I have no complaints. Quirkiness and all. BMW has been making bikes and cars for years and we all know not to buy the first year model. S1000RR is an awesome bike but the first year had its issues just as the K1200S had issues. Identify issue, notify customers, provide solution. Hope the guy doesn't play MMOs. He would have a coronary with all the release bugs.
  14. Since you probably need more air miles for some certification, how about a ride to TX in April? Congrats! Pilot liscense is on the bucket list but may never get punched.
  15. Problem solved and you get new: Honda NC700S or NC700X You get all that you want in a bike that provides 80MPG but may not be as fast as the SV. Buy it new for $7k msrp http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/2012/honda/nc700x/prices/05/ Or: http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3697207335.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3657675794.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3694744122.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3701096754.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3700811655.html http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3669460124.html
  16. http://moonshine-run.com/Moonshine/ Here you go. I would be interested in doing this if it ever gets into the 70s.
  17. Damn, nice bike, nice price. Buy this on or the Tuono he mentions. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?t=102346
  18. We have a winner. Plus, I can hit the beer store while I am up there. Thanks for the suggeston. Google shows that is by Slyder's and that was a reco on a place to go as well.
  19. Mudder fudge, nice Ducati. Like to see that one backed in. Tempting offer but damn it is a long way to go for one day.
  20. Yep, you paypal to Pete. X-act is a real outfit and I have run with them twice before. Day went just fine. http://www.x-actmotorsports.com/ I think it is June 29/30 and yes, I am signed up and really excited to get back down there. Hopefully the weather will not be too bad at the end of June but I will be bringing my fans again, just in case.
  21. pffft, only ever see 70 on the way to 80. They should have just set it at 100 and be done with it.
  22. On noes. I have been looking for one of these and kick myself for passing on a newer model, though more coin. So little time to ride now but this is tempting. Is it plated now or anything that would prevent it from being plated?
