  1. Terrible. As a father with a corn flake of a daughter who is now wanting to learn to drive, I can say the fears of this happening are very real. Is it terrible to up their life insurance?
  2. did you try the dealer locator on the cortech page? Competition Accessories in Springfield comes to mind.
  3. Season is coming to a close, anyone going? I have a kitchen pass and I am thinking of making the trip. Bike needs another go before the year is out.
  4. http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=11211&highlight=sv650 in Chicago http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=10947&highlight=sv650 Holland, MI http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=10368&highlight=sv650 So easy, even I can do it.
  5. Carrot and stick in a risky game to get Syria to the table and Assad out of hiding. I guess the bunny took the bait.
  6. Well, not much buzz because the bike is a buzz kill. But then, Ducati continues to put out bikes I have no desire for. Guess they are targetting a younger crowd as the Hyper was the last bike to get my pocket book to open. Maybe the 848s will fall into cheapass territory quicker now. http://rideapart.com/2013/09/2014-ducati-899-panigale-first-photos-and-specs/ I will wait to read the ride reports. I am sure it is going to impress. Same torque with more top end. Weight is interesting.
  7. The premium dog foods are free of fillers (grains) and by-products that can cause allergies. However, you have to watch the amount of protien in the foods. Some of the Bison versions can be as high as 35% protien which is great if your dog is a field dog or is very, very active. However, if the dog is more of a house dog, you want to make sure the protien is in the 24% or lower. Protien is like rocket fuel for dogs and can cause weight gain. We have had good luck with Taste of the Wild - lamb for our Brittany who was having allergy issues (i.e. scratching herself all the time). Best part of using the premium foods is that she tends to eat less and the volume of poo is less. So, it seems to help compensate for the higher cost of the food and I don't mind smaller pickups in the yard.
  8. LOL, so nice you you to get the kids a pony. Cute pup.
  9. LOL, funny how you thought a track day on park lands was a good idea during tourist season. You have to hit the shoulder season in mid-spring or late fall to have any chance that the parks and the roads will be empty. Or, this weekend as you mentioned you were out there for LDay weekend, kind of the last hurrah of summer. I am sure hope you found plenty of other roads out there to fill your desires? With any luck, I will be taking the family out there next year. Congrats on making the trip.
  10. Uhaul for $19 a day. Or, one of these
  11. in the middle, yes, I would plug it. I have had a few rear tires plugged and they were all in the middle. Thankfully, no issues.
  12. buy a one piece for cold weather riding. Think snowmobiles and you will be on the right track. Go heated with a vest.
  13. And yet, people actually believe the guy existed? Spook I say and the scapegoat for the lies, deciept and personal greed. How foolish we are to believe that government is by the people for the people. Gov't for the enrichment of the few rich.
  14. That one is pretty Cool, but this one is the Biz http://www.ktm.com/freeride/freeride-e/highlights.html
  15. Anyone have one of these? I mentions some venting in the chest but doesn't list the suit as a perforated suit. I need a new suit but I want a perfed. suit like my current garment.
  16. Be sure to watch for the Ducati Indy/Commonwealth days at Putnam. No classroom but they do run three groups and it does provide you with an opportunity to gain seat time. Control Riders are present and willing to help if asked. No shortage of opportunities to dispose of disposable income.
  17. Shitty dealers, shitty customers - world is full of both. Beggar's can't be choosers on hot, short supply items.
  18. Sounds like you all had a good day. T7 takes prisoners all the time so don't feel to bad if you went agri there. As another sorry fellow, I think I went off there at least 3 times and once made it all the way to the tree line. Generally with STT and others, you can jump up or back on the groups if you ask the CRs. No need to feel frustrated and it is a good way to get a feel for the place. Silly Putty is a fun track but I think it took me at least 5-6 trips there before I finally came to terms with T7 and T8. And there is still a lot of room for improvement. Conrats on your new addiction.
  19. Yep, come on down while the weather is still nice.
  20. Not sure if I need a sponsor account or not but I wanted to give everyone a reason to ride or a destination. T-Willy's Yogurt Emporium is offering discount on Froyo to all riders (motorcycle or bicycle) that stop in and show us your helmet. http://www.twillysyogurt.com/ We are in the Dorthy Lane shopping center about .5 mile north of 675 (exit 4) on 48 (Far Hills Lane).
  21. They should have had some kind of battery booster or just done a swap with a battery off the shelf. Asking a customer to wait 30+ minutes for a battery to take a charge is a good way to lose a sale. Jump the damn thing. Now, unless you had cash in your pocket and looking to go out the door, I have to say you over-reacted a bit. I worked on a car lot for a short while and this happens all the time. Plus, running them doesn't tell you that much and I am sure IP has some kind of limited warranty and/or would do some kind of minimum service on the bike after you put down the cash.
  22. For 5k, solve all your track problems with this http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=10555 Keep the '12 as a street rider.
