Yes, that was there policy up until about 2010. I know as I had my 2008 Hyper on the track around that time. Also, I verified and took the Mini Cooper to Putnam. A friend went with me and bought a Genesis Coupe to play. Next year, SF dropped that policy. Neither of us have been back to the track. That change was one of the things that prompted me to get a dedicated track bike.. Ok, now you all got me going. I would love to get the Cooper back out on the track if it applies to cars as well.

HUH????????? I have had SF for years. That was there policy but I was informed a 2 years ago they dropped that stance on both cars and bikes. Agent even called Bloomington to verify. Who is your agent and I am going to call mine again.

I am thinking about going as well with STT. I have never done Grattan and have heard and can be tricky to learn. I have been watching the videos and it looks like a fun track. How long does it take to drive up there, where do people stay, is there camping? I think I might sign up for Novice on Sat. to take it easy and get a feel for the track. Then run I on Sun. Do they normally run the same direction or do they switch it up?

9yr old and Niagara, probably a bit too young for that trip. It is my thought, you are going to have to make a game out of it. Is he into baseball? You could do a ball game tour with St. Louis, Chicago (2 stadiums), Detroit and Cleveland. If you do go to Buffalo, stop at the Anchor Bar for wings and Niagara on the Lake is nice place to stay. After that, not much to see unless you want to head over to the Adirondacks (lake Placid) or up to Tremblant with a stop in Toronto. You could head up to Sandusky and do a day at the parks. Up to Traverse City, take the Muskegon ferry over to Milwaukee (HD museum), stop in Chicago for some boy activities and back home. St. Louis has the City Museum that he would love, ball game, Arch. From there you could head down to the Ozarks and do Silver Dollar City. Rent a boat and take him out on the lake. East towards Hershey, baseball hall fo fame, football hall of fame, NY City are all good option.

beggars are not choosers. Fleet of RSVS or HP4s will be sufficient. Ducati made any mention of a Baby Pani?

Where you going to ride and how are you going to get it there? I would love to pick up a street legal dirt bike as well but the WHERE to ride is something I haven't solved for. Driving halfway across the state isn't a viable option and I don't like MX tracks. One of these days I will buy some spread with a 1000 acres or bordering on BML land. Till then a cr500, xr650 or KTM exc will have to wait. Now, if you can solve that where issue locally, I might have to join you.

Buy one used that has been modded. HD motor is pretty shit out of the box but there is an entire industry and business model built around addressing the issues. Like most bikes, once sorted out, they are a very enjoyable ride if you ride them as intended. Models may very, not sure which one you want. I love my Heritage and the wife (other women as well) loves to go for rides on the Harley. She won't even consider going for rides on my other bikes. There is great joy and relaxation coming from taking it slow.

Shoei head = Shoei helmet. Go with fit first, price second.

Not interested in that cruiser model but I do like the S version.

Guy I know retired last year, bought his dream GSA and rode to Nome and back. Lot to do and see along the way. Enjoy and take a month to do it right.

I guess you could even apply that to Jesse James. Friends you keep, I guess.

Age? First time offense, you are probably fine. The only time my brother and I got a belt taken to our behinds is when all the talking wouldn't stop us from stealing candy. This was back in the days when candy was often single pieces and in bins. It was a challenge to see if we could get away with it but the sore ass quickly defined that getting caught was not worth the risk. Game over!

Snow riding is fun, especially if the snow is on a frozen lake. So far, I have only ridden at John Bryan and Dayton's metropark site. What are the other riding spots that I need to check out in the C-D-C area? WV is on my radar screen but I am looking for rides a couple hours or less from Dayton. BTW, I have done Brown County, IN and would love to go back.

What is the company and is it publically traded? Sounds like a bankruptcy is coming and a short position might be a good play.

Talk to a lawyer and then talk to the sherriff. Be 100% sure you understand what it takes to evict someone and what you can or cannot recover. I would also suggest the LLC and rent out through the LLC as a way to protect yourself. Especially if you do your own repairs and something screws up and results in an injury. Be sure you house is up to current code and be 100% sure you have no emotional attachment to the place. Charge more. In theory, people that can afford more should keep the house up. Though, that is just a theory. Be sure to get 1 or 2 months rent in escrow to cover clean up and damages. The more people have to risk losing for damage, the less likely they will be to damage the place. Theory again. I have thought of doing it myself. Good tenant stories and horrid stories are plentiful. Best of luck to you but in the end, this is a financial transaction. Can you take the $$ you would get in a sale, invest in the market and get a greater return on your investment?

You are correct and constitutional rights are out the window thanks to Patriot Act. Much worse when this facility is operational: http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2012/03/ff_nsadatacenter/

I haven't tried the new Hyper but I had the old one. New Hyper seems to have addressed many of the limitations of the older bike which is much more of a sport bike than an all rounder. Hyper is a great bike with a one-of-a-kind riding position (front of the bike is not visible and it seems like your flying through the air) but it comes with a lot of limitations. Nothing major (cramped, seat, suspension for +190 riders, no good bag solution, wind screen,...) but added all up, it gets you looking for another ride. Only issue with the SMT is the looks. Other than that, it is a brilliant bike in every way and probably comes as close to a single bike garage if there is one. Commute, tour, cruise, twisties and even fire roads are all arrows in its quiver. You can make similar statements about many bikes but the SMT does all those things really well. Though, do plan on removing the SAS crap and putting a pipe on it.

Laws and signs don't mean shit. IL has had these for years and they are never enforced or at least not enforced when I have had a chance to witness. It is my firm belief is that much of this behaviour stems from a large percentage of the population that never operated their vehicle on a 2-lane road and hence, never learned how to pass. Far too many people are like my wife who grew up in an urban setting and never needed to acquire the "passing" skill. However, they did learn the "queue" skill. My wife cannot pass and comes unglued every time I do it. Quite funny actually. So, we have created a large numbers of "queuers" that are quite comfortable being in a line, enjoy being at the front of the line and don't know anything different.

Agree, but I have 3 years left in the 40s.
