    One awesome bike to ride.
  4. Keep it and drive the lugs off of it. Take the $300/mth you would have in a car payment and place it into an index account. Buy something used and go to Europe, ride the ring, on the remainder.
  5. I would recommend Putnam for the first events vs. Mid-ohio. Mid-Ohio is a great track but they rarely run on the weekends. Putnam is close, easy to learn and has enough challenges to keep it interesting. STT is the group you will want to run with for the first couple events due to the school they run, which is equivalent to Mid-O. However, Putnam has a classroom and Mid-O is in a garage that you can't hear much and there are tons of distractions. On track sessions are quite equivalent. As others have mentioned check out the Ducati Indy/Commonwealth events along with the STT days. STT has classroom sessions, Indy/Commo and most of the other orgs that run Putnam do not off the classroom sessions. All seem to run a Novice, Inter. and Advanced format. I am in Dayton and try to make the Indy/Commo days. I have a trailer and all the other crap, so let me know if you want to run one of those days. Mid-O tends to have a weekend event around May 15th. If so, I will probably try to make that event.
  6. Nuff said. Here is what we know for sure. Someone got paid and repaid in this issue and it wasn't the little guys. If you are pissed, then use the power that is granted to you and do something about it = don't vote for an incumbent and don't support the Dems or the Reps. If you really want change, then vote it in at the local, state and federal level. Vote for a Libertarian party candidate or any other party member that has a legitimate chance of forming a government. Voting Dem/Rep and hoping for a change is by definition, Insanity!
  7. sucks for the OP, but Cleveland > Cbus > Indy > Davenport would be a better superslab than fighting the BS on 80/90. I-74 is empty through IL vs. 80 that is heavily trafficed and policed. Champaign, Bloomington/Normal and P-town are the only busy parts. This is very tempting if it was a full week with both weekends attached. Sadly, I am going to take the family out that way in the car for a little "Family Vacation" this summer. Looks like a good burner.
  8. Ok, this is my understanding and it would need to be verified. i believe private party has some duty to: 1) validate the test rider has a valid mcy endorsement 2) verify that the test rider has valid motorcycle insurance 3) not impaired 4) has proper gear required by the state (i.e. helmet) Otherwise, private party is accountable for all mishaps = you pay the bills if the rider F's up (including himself). Just as we have to check that contractors we hire have valid insurance, we have to check the test rider. As such, I say no to test rides
  9. shit - i smell a track bike. I say - 1k51
  10. Bike is back from the shop. Pads replaced and rear tire seems to holding air again. Too bad the weather is going to shit on Friday, I was thinking of heading over to JB this weekend if it stayed warm like this. Though, I am now starting to think about picking up a Pugsly.
  11. I read this somewhere, "if you have to ask, Silver."

  13. fam commitments, hope you all have a good time.
  14. Around here where the trails are mostly flat and not very technical, I can see the advantages but I just can't get comfortable and I am sure I would hate them if I ever encountered another switchback. Of all the trails I have ridden in OR, UT and BC, I can never think of once where I have said to myself, "if only my tire was larger, I could have cleaned that." I think it was a marketing gimic to encourage sales and the trend now to go back to a 27 is quite interesting. Though, I am quite intrigued by the new single and dual chain ring bikes with more rear gears. I like the quick ratio drop of a dual so I would like to see how fast the new ones drop and if you can drop 3-4 sprockets at once in back. I f'ed up and got wd40 all over my pads. Any suggestions on cleaning? Everything I have read so far says they are toast.
  15. Such duality. One line of thought telling you how everything works and another line telling you nothing exists as you know it. No helmets = higher rates death = lower health costs no helmets = lower health cost. Good for morticians, bad for insurance companies I guess.
  16. Don't give it to them. They won't be able to get the games and may not have a TV. They will just pawn it or sell for $. Better off just selling and making a donation to Salvation Army.
  17. Englewood wings, do tell. BBQ joint right off the 70 exit? BBQ joing in Miamisburg does a similar smoked wing that is pretty good, for a change of pace.
  18. OP enters Honda V4 into google and gets? 1, when did Honda stop offering a V4? 2, where have you been for the last 2 or 3 years with the launch of the vfr1200 3, check out the badass V4 motogp bike that Honda has been beating everyone with for years 4, check out the new Honda V4, based on the GP bike, that Honda is offering to CRT teams and the one we hope finds its way into WSBK and a dealership near you. Welcome to the club of peeps that have been waiting for a VFR1k for decades.
  19. Agree, BW3 blows when it comes to wings. BW3 is only allowed if the alternative is wings from Pizza Hut or some other place that buys them in a bag, frozen and just heats them up.
  20. I think they did a better job the first time they tried this:
  21. don't game the system or they will make you do a second quote. Just spec OEM parts and you can easily total out a bike, if that is your goal.
  22. if he can keep it upright, he can win. I wonder if Honda will encourage Pedrosa to be a rabbit and push Lorenzo, letting Marquez have an easy ride to a 3rd place and championship?
