brian, honestly i think the bike was a better option for you than the car you invested in. I would guess you have more friends involved in the bike scene and you are literally more active here than other riders. Being a new father i understand some concern, that keeps me thinking every time i throw my leg over the bike if i am doing the right thing. These days the tilt is more towards safer touring ride than those mach retard once. I guess OR is becoming more of OldRiders.net
-
@durk looks like Monday might clear out to be an outstanding day. I am guessing you be out riding? If I start early 5 or so I can finish by noon and tread back and meet you on your way back. Just let me know your return route.
-
Nah, this was when f6b came out first. They took away the reverse. As of now no more bikes. Some times I wonder why even this bike seeing the crappy weather and the humongous effort I have to take to get a semi decent ride.
-
The tracer has cruise but it’s probably as useful as just a throttle lock considering how light and fluffy the bike is at highway cruising needing constant input and correction
-
If f6b had a Reverse gear and hillstop I would have tried that bike long ago.
-
@Pauly I guess the gap trip will be on fz6?
-
i prolly cant make it, so not trying to alter the plans for you guys. But the route you guys planning seems to miss the section from berholz to kilgore which is new pavement as well. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Stow/40.676125,-81.2618711/40.3245043,-81.1452666/40.3944332,-81.0844931/40.4433252,-81.1866498/40.6237208,-80.8326133/Kensington/40.6200786,-81.0678967/40.6448216,-81.4546519/@40.4399919,-81.2798193,10.83z/data=!4m41!4m40!1m10!1m1!1s0x8831268f3d6605db:0xff57ee9d877191bd!2m2!1d-81.4403898!2d41.1595005!3m4!1m2!1d-81.3388309!2d40.9855107!3s0x88312d7d5bca3ef1:0xbf9f5edbc841eee1!1m10!3m4!1m2!1d-81.2883183!2d40.6557328!3s0x8836c25b982350a9:0x99c64ac58345ddfa!3m4!1m2!1d-81.2526111!2d40.5276004!3s0x8836ec1fd7a69741:0xf1a1f3b53ae0afeb!1m0!1m0!1m5!3m4!1m2!1d-80.8649898!2d40.5704127!3s0x88369f0e0bb64205:0x88223cd76a280833!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x8836a5107e9393e7:0x995584783c1031f!2m2!1d-80.9564776!2d40.7353371!1m0!1m0!3e0 this way you get to hit all good sections of 164 and better section of 9 644 542 etc but if you fed everything on the rocket ship navigation then fogget aboutit

Have safe ride guys i was about to post “646 is better bet than 164” until I rode both today. 164 has relatively new pavement for 3/4 of the good section. And 646 relatively bad shape. Literally the condition reversed compared to the last time I was on both these road. Short version, enjoy 164 it’s even worth it to run up and down. The closest fun road for us NEO folks I would say. @Skinny guy I think you have to get back to work at 6 or something right? Likely impossible, but If at all free for quick run down and back up 164 let me know. I plan to leave lisbon area around 2:30

what if a tooth fairy drops this route under your pillow > starting in stow and ending in bolivar going through waynesburgh where rick can join you as well. it looks complicated because of intersecting regions but you never run the same road twice. All good roads as well except for short slab on 22 and back in neo area where no other choice exists https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Stow/40.676125,-81.2618711/40.3245043,-81.1452666/40.4149244,-80.9554966/40.2932261,-81.0033821/40.4105021,-80.7874687/Kilgore/40.6237346,-80.8324209/40.644795,-81.4543339/@40.7432465,-81.4871754,10z/data=!4m41!4m40!1m10!1m1!1s0x8831268f3d6605db:0xff57ee9d877191bd!2m2!1d-81.4403898!2d41.1595005!3m4!1m2!1d-81.3388309!2d40.9855107!3s0x88312d7d5bca3ef1:0xbf9f5edbc841eee1!1m10!3m4!1m2!1d-81.2883183!2d40.6557328!3s0x8836c25b982350a9:0x99c64ac58345ddfa!3m4!1m2!1d-81.2526111!2d40.5276004!3s0x8836ec1fd7a69741:0xf1a1f3b53ae0afeb!1m0!1m5!3m4!1m2!1d-80.9575443!2d40.3899797!3s0x883685bb195eb88b:0x2f3520913f3df53!1m0!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x8836901308dc28e7:0xe604a9b5a87f4bb7!2m2!1d-81.0017605!2d40.4642311!1m0!1m0!3e0 i know the answer is fark off 7 11 hahaha but just think about it any ways thank you .. come again
-
Np, next time..... But just to be clear you suck but seriously its okay, just in case I couldn’t make it all this trouble you take would have been wasted.
-
can i request you guys to meet in bolivar and do the route reverse ? that way i can run down 164 and meet you guys on the way back. Hopefully richmond itself if i can get out early enough. I am in columbiana right next to 164 in afternoon. Will jump on 164 and head south as early as i can. Best case scenario is around 2pm start
-
if only this was wed or fri .... except thurs ride safe boys. Do you have a guesstimate return route and time ? i might try to run down and meet you guys some where if at all i can get out early
-
How’s this coming Wednesday? I am hoping to finish work early and jump out.
-
Just like 2018 / 2019 is starting to be a practical joke from weather gods. Weekdays when you work it’s 70s weekend it starts to have hail storm and rain. 💩
-
Next weekend likely will be snowstorm ... and you guessed right I am off and planning to ride 🤣
-
Nah, all these years it was the love for motorcycling and wanting to try different types of engines and curiosity about machines that made me keep looking for different one. This time just got this one to remain part of the community and almost feels like a midlife crisis purchase like most HD folks do. I likely will only have 3-4k miles and still on stock tires next year.
-
Great, once the stock ones are done I might try those. I don’t plan to be riding aggressive on road any more and want to occasionally try to go through fire roads and light off roads just to get to a spot for good pics etc. Not yet ready for full on off road more yet.
-
@B-Mac @Danimal is there even a 70-30 80-20 tire as in more in favor of on road and less off road for just occasional light off road use?
-
@B-Mac to do these roads do we need off road tires and ground clearance
-
What a beautiful day to ride, of course I am working hope some of you guys got to get out today.
-
This much torque will really suit your riding style. Really excited to see how you going to throw it around.
-
Just like I never had a bad experience with Boeing 🤣 jk .. miss that Vfr light in rear mirror though. Another underrated Honda gem which got overlooked due to weird styling. I was so close to getting one many years ago when I was actively into photography and stuff and the trick little pass through carrier slot it had would have been perfect to carry folded tripods.
-
When is rex’s First voyage. I like that name
-
I bet around Probably 400 miles on it by end of today. What a beautiful bike. The blue really works with the design and color combo of the wing.
