  1. Awesome decision, excellent bike for sure. @Tonik mine was just a 650, bit still I think my favorite bike among all the one I had.
  2. strike a balance between the two schools lol first 150 -200 mile keep max rpm reasonable sane low range but varying. (avoid highways and slabs etc) then change oil and still keep varying but at higher range of RPMs. change oil by 500 miles and go to town and unleash hell.
  3. Derek, I was just joking about shifting it since I couldn’t make it. Am pretty sure others where just saying it randomly as well since they were disappointed since unable to make it. No way criticizing your effort or the dates. Any day you pick some other folks can’t show up. So no worries, what matters in what you can do. Go ahead with it.
  4. I am with @max power on this, lol let’s do this on May 18 lol . Not at all biased about the dates..hmmm yea that’s what I am going with because of mother’s day and not at all work related
  5. Any one been on 555 recently? Does any section have New pavement?
  6. As I came closer I saw the wing parked in front. Pulled over around the corner and texted you. Patiently Waited until your aura left Massillon 😂

  9. Thx for hosting us Sam, wish we could have stayed longer. So nice to see all the familiar faces and added bonus not to see tonik. If it was warmer many more would have showed I suppose. Next year just pot luck it and just spontaneously post based on weather. Pretty sure you get the same core folks to show again. The weather was just a tinge crappy today.
  10. Need to get couple Hours of sleep then find heated gear then ride over 😴
  11. Seems like your heart is saying speed triple, go for it. It’s not at all a bad choice. Triple is a great engine choice no matter what
  12. Me and @Skinny guy will be taking long way of back roads and will end up here by afternoon. We plan to take back roads on way back as well and will have to leave early to make it back before it gets too cold. Hopefully get to meet you all there. Its gonna be cloudy and brisk low 50s that day. Hope no freaking rain.
  13. i also 100% agree street > speed mine was 2013 triple R, with abs loved that bike. I 100 % vouch for this bike for you based on your riding preference. This bike is light nimble like a middle weight but being a triple has enough torque for that catapult out of corners feeling. Ergonomics is very comfortable, as long as road is twisty all day riding is no issue. At first i thought the naked version might be too much, but i started loving the naked version and clean air on upper chest and helmets so much that i started cutting down wind screen on sports bike lol to summarize, Sweet gem of an engine, ample torque and hp, very balanced chassis, R variant suspension was good enough needing no upgrades, stable in sweeper and easily flickable in tight spots. Reliable bike among triumphs, good aftermarket option among euro bikes, comfortable 1 up for long distance and 2 up for short stints. you wont like it if planning longer stints of slab, might miss the top end of liter inlines. As in when it starts becoming more sweepers and as more straight sections open up u will top out the bike and pushing any higher feels weird since bike only weighs 400ish and direct wind on body all amount to an unstable feel if planning constant upper triple digit speed. i test road speed triple and bmw 1kr naked before jumping on triple. speed was porky and bimmer was buzzy to put it in one word. didnt feel like the extra weight and porky feel of speed was outweighed by its higher power. You cant even use the extra weight for highways slabs since it still remains a naked bike with minimal touring potential. The advent of new street triples essentially will be a death blow to speed triple i suppose unless triumph planning revamp of the speed in future.
  14. I watched it and right afterwards cleaned and lubed the chain haha they might be or might not be right but I always felt “better” when the chain was cleaned and sprayed before a long ride.

    2019 Gap Trip.

Some Dunlop crap, many folks been switching it outright. I am gonna run it as much as possible before gap trip and possible change right before.
  16. Luckily was able to get a last minute spontaneous ride in with just a bit of sprinkle. Thank you @Skinny guy for coming out. It was amazing chasing the bimmer around.
  17. i know i tired for a year, 99% of them just want to go to some kinda shows and display their carbon fiber window visor. no one interested in going for a drive down a country road etc. Sell the car and get a touring oriented bike and come play with us
