  1. Correct me if I am wrong, but about 10 yrs ago the “pace” was considered the Bible for street riding. Seeing no unnecessary red light of brakes in group rides used to be considered good as in people are setting corner speed right and going smooth etc These days “trail braking+ following pace” is the best combo. Advise is to start using trail braking even in routine street rides and not only in track. Which makes a lot of sense. Smooth and gradient input on brakes and then modulating it to your advantage. I think problem with gold wing is the the initial bite felt very heavy ? as in almost more than 50% of the braking seems to come in as a big chunk with slightest input and then it slow and gradient.
  2. One of the best bang for buck balanced do it all motorcycle I haven’t sold it yet and I prolly will buy it again if I quit and come back to motorcycling for the 5th time 😂 haha you made the right choice
  3. Welcome back, missed seeing you at the gas station . Just to be clear. Awfully bad choice of a bike don’t understand why you would make a horrible choice.
  4. I was trying a subtle stereotype sarcasm of mustangs and people on the side line like cars and coffee.
  5. That’s because he cheats. He nibbles the food like a rabbit he might as well be a vegetarian. He eats such low portion size that most pics seen here are probably after he ate his fill i am not even joking or exaggerating.
  6. Sometimes I wonder, us being in ohio and kind of know 555 is like not even a best in 10 road within ohio. Same way whtr every state and their riders have there own hidden gem roads which doesn’t get much press. For eg every time some non ohio guys talk about roads “triple nick” is the one thing they all kinda heard and want to ride etc. but we know it’s kinda no big deal compared to other roads. And we know these well known roads in other state, but there must be some great hidden gems there as well. In a way I guess WV NC etc are pretty well explored by a typical High mileage OR rider already. Why am I even rambling here, might as well go sleep. Tunnel of trees suck monkey balls compared to some of the others roads mentioned. None of the Michigan roads deserve any mention in that list lol
  7. @B-Mac still stuck at work don’t think I can get out in time to be there. Go ahead and enjoy the beautiful day brain. Next time for sure.
  8. @B-Mac if your planning to get out post up here, I am going to try and finish work early and if everything works really well as I hope I might be able to get to new concord at least by 12:30 or so. Hopefully we can go explore some roads down south. Had my mind set on exploring some new to me roads including some county stuff, which i usually do when solo riding. But I know you don’t mind variable pace and variable surfaces hehe
  9. Wish I could, looks like perfect weather
  10. Keep the pics coming, Can’t wait To do such trips and get a used wing in 10 yrs from now.
  11. Great car. And Some Brave spectators standing close there.

    Ride 7/12 or 7/13

I will keep an eye on your final call. Friday I might be able to meet you on your return leg and Saturday I have to bail early to make it home by 3:30. Never getting a full day of ride
  16. I like bike bright, always used it on the shiny parts, was a little hesitant to use on the black engine components due to urban myth about it causing some fading , have any experience in use on painted or powder coated areas?
  17. Following, I have few bits baked in to the naked engine parts from the “wetacious” gap trip. Can’t seem to get it off. D
  18. Punky I think I still have your number, will try to text you next time I /we are out. Good rides still happen here and there. I think you will be kept entertained in most clean roads. But haven’t rode with you in a looong time, Don’t know with that new beast whtr your “goals for satisfaction” has gone up considerably more? Also durk my man right here I think is perfect fit for you, he is like a friendlier happier version of old school Mach R riders you can never go wrong with him. Now regarding msta rode with them 5 yrs ago while in Michigan, was an okay evening fun relaxing ride not exhilarating. Problem might be the crappy atrocious horrendous horrible boring straight roads in crap hole Michigan. But considering the overall set up of msta rides, they are well structured and organized and will be more akin to the bmw group you went with. Again, don’t take my word for this. This is based on my experience from half a decade ago in a boring state.
  19. @Tonik @tall_tracy found the little gem. Price little higher for the quality of food. But ambience makes up for it. Very nice destination ride. May be can take the central Ohio folks to explore the north east roads and end here as a short 2 up friendly group ride.
  20. I can’t even imagine how good the wing is when the dude who rode this bike says the wing is 20x better than this wonderful bike. 👍
  21. That explains, Was wondering why the weather looked crappy for next week, watching thread for some great info, waiting for @Bubba to drop bombs in here
