Motorcycling Across Ohio by: William Murphy Castles and Caverns Ride, pg. 30 Roughly 210 miles, not counting you ride to the start point, stays N of the city in an oval type run. We hit Marysville, Bellefountaine, Indian Lake, Kenton, Marion, Deleware and back down to Powell. I have run this and it is a very ice run, not to long or technical. We could meet in Marysville if you want to. Just a suggestion. Ride safe all. Greg

My Smart-Ass alarm came on today around noon. It signalled a scramble from Wright-Pat and Rickenbacker on multiple UFO sightinings near Kellys Island and Put-In-Bay. All moving E toward Cleveland and The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was either that, or they were looking for some resemblance of a Pro Football team on the lake. I'll keek you posted if the SA alarm goes off again. Ride safe all, and please, ATGATT. Greg

Roll, What time and where are we going to meet? I have 1 maybe 2 more that will be joining us, since I am coming in from the N , is there a Gas station on the edge of Franklin, say 73 and 123 where we can meet-up? I will be coming down 675 and hooking up with 73, so let me know W & W. Weather looks good, so far. RSA, and ATGATT please. Greg

What the Hell, might as well get this out there before the snow starts flying. Jan. 1st, 2012, yes a New Years Day Ride Basic criteria: Ice and Snow free roads, minimal to no salt or sand also. Safety First Temps are subject to discussion near the ride time. This an open ride, start times and meeting location TBD. In the past, early afternoon (Noon to 1pm) has always been a good start time. Ride time and distances are not long, as little as 75 miles to as much as 200, remember, it gets darker and colder as the day gets older. I have done 10 polar rides in my yrs. of riding, great fun, memories, and stories for the spring and summer camp fires and meet-ups. So mark your calender, if you have a 2012 yet, and lets get this thing going. Ride safe all, and ATGATT please. Greg I'm going to the Gator Bowl, so If I ride, it will be in Florida, sorry.

Dec. 26th., 2009. Myself, and 2 friends left for Fla., on our steeds, and geared up to the extreme. It was 28 deg. cloudy, and snow was piled up on the road sides till we got into Tenn. It rained, sleeted, snowed and iced the windscreen and faceshield at speed. We camped in Tenn. got up @ 8 am to 4" of fresh snow on the bikes, roads were just wet. Long story short, we got to Key West, in South Fla. for 2 morte days, started N, made it to Atlanta. The ice came in and we ended up having another friend bring his covered trailer to bring us home. So...Winter riding can be an amazing experience, some good and some bad, and some just amazing. When do we leave? Ride safe all, and please, ATGATT. Greg

Ok.... I have sold bikes in a couple of shops over the years, and please believe me when I say, we talk about the purchaser. Like, how long before it would be back for repair, or how soon will it be back up for sale, like those. I would love to see the video of that sale and subsiquint delivery of that poor scooter. I really have no problems with people that ride, but is this a truley safe combination of the size of the scooter and the size of the driver. I still want to see the video. Ride safe all, and ATGATT please. Greg

Thanks Tom, It was a perfect day, no problems at all, except for my sneezing fit. And the roads were just pristine, the heavy rains had them super clean and even dust free. I forgot you said you were getting off on 350, I looked in my mirrors and you were gone, sorry i didn't wave. Thanks for braving the cold this morning, everybody that missed it, really missed a great day. Lets do this again, ASAP, or at least if the weather holds. Ride safe all, and you really missed an great ride. Greg

Well you could meet us in Otway (73, 781 & 348) come together. I would guess we would be there between 11:30 and noon. From there you could do the W and N routes and then cut back over where ever you want to. I got a call from a friend that says that 52 has 3 seperate sections of construction going on right now, so my adjustment is to hit 348 W or come down to 52 and catch 125 through Shawnee State Forest. Either way will get us to 247 N. Hope you can make it for some of the ride. Ride safe all, Greg

Cob,I have a couple others that might make it, they are not cold weather riders, and even with the later day temps getting near 60, they might bail due to mornign temps. Another couple of guys are already down here from Michigan, they are going to try to get to me here in Spfld today, if they make it they will stay with me and join us in the morning. Both are still up in the air. But if it ends up just us 2, then we will be the ones enjoying what looks like a great day for a ride. I'll see you around 10. Ride safe all, Greg

Ok.... It looks like a last weekend of decent weather is headed our way. I will host a ride for Sat the 22nd. Meet @ Youngs Jersey Dairy on St. Rt. 68 at 10 am Depending on turnout and if anyone needs to eat, exit will be between 10:15 and 10:45. I would like to do a run South to Hillsboro, and then continue S on 73 to 52 on the river. Head W to 247 and then back up N. I consider these roads semi-technical. There is some truck traffic, but should be lite for the weekend. No stunting or stupidity will be tolerated. Just a good controled ride, I can set pace after meeting and discussing with group. Lots of leaves possible, roads are in good condition. I ride these many times a yr. and so far this yr. they are just fine. There are plenty of connections if an early exit is needed. Do your Ohio map for references on the roads. Let me know on here or with an email @ decolag@hotmail.com Lets get a last one in all. Ride safe all, Greg

Saw it when it aired, just watched it again. Still blown away, hope a good old Buckeye wins it all. RSA, ATGATT p. Greg

It is a culture thing. They as a people have been programed for hundreds of years. Remember, the best way to control the masses is to make them believe in an unseen God, and keep them un-educated. Not condoning it, but who do you blame? Ride safe all, and please, ATGATT. Greg

OK...... Still $150 but.... I'll cover shipping, and throw in a large camera bag. It is padded with lots of compartments for accessories and things. I will bring to your doorstep if your in OHIO, I don't need much of an excuse for a ride. An excellent first camera for a young person or for a class. Let me know, it needs a good home. Ride safe all, Greg

Bar End Weights do a great job of dampening any vibration you might have. The original Concours C10, is a big bike, and the bar end weights really help with subtle vibrations. My $.02 RSA, ATGATT please. Greg

I put mine in the left breast inside pocket of my jacket. All my jackets have these. But be very careful of the Tank Bag, not so much fr it coming off, but if it has magnets, it can fry the scan bar on any cards you have, rendering them useless, not good on a ride. Ride safe all, and ATGATT please. Greg
