  1. I'm looking at something to listen to music/gps on without having to mess with wires...someone has to make a Bluetooth gateway that does a2dp and you just plug in headphones. Speaking of headphones.... Lettuce discuss helmet speakers for a moment. My new bell has special areas for speakers, anyone have a suggestion of what to get? Also thought about just getting a pair of on the ear headphones and butchering them.
  2. I haven't had the opportunity to put many miles on my shadow yet but I like it. Very comfy riding position. The power is probably about on par with the wee-strom. Plenty of low end grunt. The shaft drive is nice too, no chain to lube or change, no sprockets to wear out. Just grease the splines at each tire change and you're good. There's a pretty strong aftermarket for them too, bags, pipes, seats, bars etc. You can pipe, jet and filter it but you only get like +2 hp for the $450 it costs for the parts. The stock pipes cn be made kinda loud by removing the resonator with a hole saw. Gives it more rumble at idle and acceleration but not too loud at cruising speed.
  3. I have 20 rds of milsurp 7.62x39 I'd like to trade for .556, .40 or 9mm.
  4. Single six or double nine. Both great pistols.
  5. Anyone know of anywhere in neo I can get a tireounted and balanced? I got these cheeseburgers man..... I'll suck yo dick man!
  6. Ill be running my bike in the garage and looking at it for the next few weeks....its worth parking my car outside right?
  7. Rode from where it was stored to my garage and started ripping shit apart for maintenance.
  8. Rode the bike home from storage (10 miles or so) and right into the garage, yanked the back wheel and off to the shop to have new rubber put on and they're closed! Stuck till Monday but did change the oils and filter so I'm ready to rock when the weather breaks again. Should really replace the brake shoes whileiI have it apart....
  9. Oh yeah, need a tambourine-shaking monkey in a side car.
  10. SHORYUKEN! I wonder how many will get the reference.
  11. I knew I would get naysayers. Shit, in the factory service manual for my tl it says to jack it up by the headpipe. If you seriously believe its going to crush your header you need to get a firmer grasp of physics
  12. I've jacked up every i4 bike I've ever owned with either a bike stand or the ole floor jack/kickstand method. Never had a header dent. If you do the math, you already have a rear stand supporting half the weight of the bike, so there's maybe 220 lbs left to lift. Spread that over 4 pipes and its 55 lbs per headpipe with a floor jack and a 2x4 or 27.5 lbs per pipe with a harbor freight bike jack. Just a suggestion, your mileage may vary.
  13. My cousin has a pretty sweet salt water tank, anemone, clown fish, live coral, shrimp, crabs, pretty fish, urchins...its decked out. I recently saw on a facebook post by 'i fucking love science' that there is such thing as a pistol shrimp that uses his claw to shoot a high-speed high-pressure jet of water that results in a bubble cavitation behind it that collapses resulting in a 260 db snap and a flash due to the air being compressed to the point that it reaches over 5,000 celcius!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ7Ztmcf0Cc&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  14. Fill the forks with extra virgin olive oil, rub garlic on your balls and pretend its a duc. Vroom Vroom motherfucker!
  15. I'm just stoked to at least feel like the season is here. Riding is about the only thing that keeps me sane (im sure you all feel the same way) and usually about mid February I start going bonkers buying parts, fear, tires, anything just to feel....involved in motorcycles again. Today I shaved my 'till bike season' beard ithat I started growing last November, so now its on motherfuckers.
  16. I have no illusions of riding past Sunday, just want to get one of my babies home in the garage and get the spring maintenance done....and start it up and listen to it thump.
  17. Went and transferred the title and got a plate for the shadow and insured both bikes for the year to the tune of $240. Getting the shadow out of storage tomorrow and bringing her home for some maintenance, cleaning and tire change. Looking forward to the first ride of the year.
  18. I love shooting the twisties on my sportbike but also have a vt1100 to cruise the wifey around on.
  19. 5'10 240! You're in the same boat as me (5'8 210). I haven't shopped a track suit yet but just finding a jacket that fits has been a bitch. I've got extremely wide shoulders and a barrel chest with a beer gut and finding anything that fits in the torso that isn't either too loose or too tight in the arms and waist is a bitch! Good luck bro.
  20. Disclaimer: I'm almost 35, engaged, neither of us have kids and don't want any. We love kids, just like to give them back after a few days. I read through all the responses just to make sure that nobody had made the same suggestion, just in case....and none of you sad sons-a-bitches did.... FUCKING HOOKERS AND FUCKING BLOW.
  21. He is a man of discerning tastes..... In the same way an UN-neutered dog or life sentence inmate is.
  22. Too bad I chose black and silver over HOLY SHIT YELLOW gear by a narrow margin this year, otherwise I'd hock a bike or two and spend $500 in gas to truck it back to ne oh. Never owned a ninja but I like em. Lbts glws.
