Dave grey is on the Yamaha or ktm?

There was another fello on a blue Apex R6, he has blonde hair and glasses. Really really fast. This KTM guy I am talking about is faster than the guy on the Apex bike.

Thanks for that, it helped alot. I was kinda stressed before on all these things I need to think about/do, etc. but now I know what I am going to do and am looking forward to racing! Your new avvy made me think that I may have seen you ride before... The first and only time I have been to Mid-Ohio, there was a guy on a KTM there that was hauling ASS. It was on August 15th on last summer. I believe you (or 'him' if it was not you) was the only guy on a KTM that day.

Yep what I decided to do is run my q2s the first few times and get used to the bike, then buy some bt0003 race rubber and take the race school.

well i did 6 trackdays last season. it was my first season on the track at all too. i have been to nelson ledges, beaverun, mid ohio, and grattan. obviously i only rode them 1-2 times TOTAL so my lap times wernt too good since i barely knew the track. i did 2 trackdays in the instructional group then moved up to intermediate and am currently running upper intermediate level. just on the edge of being able to go advanced before i wrecked last trackday (some of you might remember, sept 10 beaverun i was the only one that crashed in the last session riding a green 636). what made me think about possibly racing this year was on that sept 10 trackday at beaverun a control rider (dont remember who) stopped me after a session just to tell me how great my lines were and body positioning, etc blah blah. not trying to brag obviously lol.

ok thanks, is there anywhere that i can consistently buy take offs? someone or some place that always has some for sale? or what race rubber would you recommend using that is cheeaappppp. i bought a set of 209GPAs last season but they only came in a 190 and i dont want a 190 for my r6. i found some r10's and bt003 pros online for sale: http://viets-performance.com/Trackside-Support/DOT-Race-Tires-and-Slicks those r10s look really nice, but the price of the 003 looks even nicer lol and sorry for turning this in to a race question thread haha. i am just pumped about this season and these questions have been in my head for a few months now.

ok here is my predicament. i have a fresh set of Q2s ready to go this season but have been told that it is not a good idea to race with Q2s, especially without warmers. i plan on racing this year after a trackday or 2 then race school. i am sure i am over stressing about this, but i am thinking about just not racing this season anymore anyway. edit: and madcat, when you say you are still "slow", what are some of your average lap times at motoseries tracks?

are race tires only for sale at track vendors? i dont understand why i cant find them ANYWHERE else... i mean motoseries only has dunlop, right? STT only has michelin, what if i want bridgestone or something like that?

hell ill pay for all the gas for the day if someone let me use a plug for a set or warmers!

ill be using Q2's and dont have warmers. i didnt really think of that when i planned on starting racing this season. not sure if i want to drop the money on warmers and a generator or spend it on many more trackdays and just not race

maybe a dumb question here, but does anyone here race without warmers? it seems like a HUGE disadvantage to go out on cold tires...

do you guys typically do a full trackday saturday and then race sunday? i cant imagine riding a trackday and then racing the next day because i am always SO tired after just a trackday

I guess a better way to put the average time is to ask a ENTRY level race time, then a competitive time, and THEN the fastest times out there. Thanks for those times by the way

I am going to start racing this season and just wanted to get an idea of lap times for tracks around us here (Nelson, Beaver, Mid-O, Grattan, Putnam, etc.). If you guys could give a overall average time (time MOST people get in the intermediate group for trackdays), a competitive time for racing Novice, and the lap record (or just what the fastest guys run). Thanks!

i would MUCH rather have an extension put on before a repave. i think beave is in pretty good shape as far as the track surface right now.

I don't know how this turned into an argument about how we shouldn't eat animals. Its about how they are tortured before they are killed in SOME farms, and how it needs to stop. When other animals kill animals for food, they don't recklessly torture the animal before they eat... they kill in the quickest way possible. And just because humans are smarter doesn't mean we have the right to do that shit. Imagine earth without humans... it would be in perfect balance. No pollution, no overpopulation, just balanced life.

And I bet you're one of those people that think you humans are better than everything else and therefore have the right to do whatever the fuck we want. If you think the way they are killing and torturing those animals is ok, then you are no better than those that do it. Pets or not, they are living creatures and no living creature deserves to be tortured like that. This is one thing that I don't joke around with.
