  1. I don't need much, just enough time to get to where you are. I'm down to ride any time today.
  2. Right on. I'll send you my phone number, though you may already have it. We can go later if that works better for you. Just text me.
  3. Sorry to hear it man. We'll catch up with you next time. See you in the am Hutch, and anyone else wanting to ride.
  4. Cool. Let me know if anything changes.
  5. I posted a ride for tomorrow but the date was for a month from now. So, let's try this again. Trying to get a ride together for tomorrow. Weather is supposed to be nice, though cool in the morning. So meet at noon at KFC in Newark on Cedar St exit off of 16. Plan to ride either north to Coshocton or South to McConnelsville, depending on what everyone wants to do. Post up if you're down to put a few miles in this weekend. Hutch, you in?
  6. Yeah, it was supposed to be for 4/27, tomorrow. I can't figure out how to edit the title so I'm going to post a new ride. Sorry mods. Close this thread.

    Ride Saturday?

Thanks 2talltim, I appreciate it. Yeah, we live right down the road from Irish Hills in 13. Nice little 3 acre lot. Not looking too lively for tomorrow. If I don't go out tomorrow Tim, I'll see if I can get away Sunday. Post a ride, or I will and we'll see who joins up. Looks like I'm going to the Gap with you guys too. Should be a blast!

    Ride Saturday?

Just moved here in October. Sunday probably won't work for me Hutch. The Ol Lady has plans for me that include a rake, trimmers, and I'm sure a vacuum. Weather is supposed to be better tomorrow too...

    Ride Saturday?

    I'm in Mt Vernon.

    Ride Saturday?

70 and partly cloudy. That's ride worthy. Thinking about either the Coshocton area or head South to McConnelsville area. Meet at KFC in Newark at 11. If anyone else wants to join, post up and we'll see if we can get a ride together.
  12. Extremely useless thread. Pictures required.
  13. Shoot. I knew you had a helmet from the Vstrom sale, but I didn't know this was it. Dibs. I'll stop out next time it's warm and try it on. Or stop by Iron Pony and try on a Shoei to make sure it fits.
  14. Yep, nice meeting all of you guys. And thanks Ryan for mounting my new shoes. Suspension is much better too. All around great day!
  15. Quick question Tonik. I'm having some lifting of the base in just a couple spots. I primered the fender, and it's going on great in all but three places. In these places it looks like egg shell crackle or alligator skin. I read that it's most likely contamination, like grease or oils. Any experience with this? What's the best solution? Use wax and grease remover even though that will remove the base and primer too? Under the primer is scuffed clear, which the base should adhere to. Or sand the shit out of that area and re-spray? Or any better idea?
  16. Thanks Tonik. I actually found this method through the Napa paint guy here in Mt. Vernon. Decided to give it a try and so far, so good. I have the base down and it actually doesn't look too bad. Color Rite called back today and admitted the white base coat they gave me was too blue, which is exactly what I thought. They're going to give me a refund, minus 20% for the can of top coat. Not a perfect solution, but better than nothing. Thanks for the offer Attack Painter. I really wanted to do the painting myself,to try to get some experience with it. Up to this point, it feels like I bit off a little more than I can chew, but I don't give up easily. If I really mess things up, I'll give you a holler. And I'll definitely keep you in mind the next time I have a project like this. But regarding the reducer ratio, the Deltron PPG paint I got required a 1:1 mix and I achieved sprayable paint with this ratio through the Preval system. It's not a spray gun, but for the DIYer, I think it's the best thing available and the results seem to be sufficient. And it's pretty damn cheap.
  17. She's gorgeous. If I would have waited a year, she'd be in my garage. Instead, I have my beautiful K3....but a bike like that could tempt me to sell out. If it wasn't such a pain in the ass to sell a bike, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
  18. Yeah, I wore tires around my waist last year to go about 5 miles. It was terrible. I scratched my tank, looked like an idiot, and was very uncomfortable. Unfortunately it's not an option to get them to Marysville that way. Maybe I can drive them to you Hoblick. Are you going to be anywhere in Columbus before Sunday? If not, I may just have to drive them to Marysville. I'd like to ride to the meet on Sunday cause the weather is supposed to be perfect.
  19. Hey guys, Ryan, I bought my tires from Iron Pony because they had a hell of a deal on a set of Bridgestone BT023s. So now I have to figure out how to get the tires and bike out to your place. I work in Westerville. Is anyone going to drive out to Hoblicks or Ryan, will you be stopping at Iron Pony any time before Sunday? Just trying to figure out how to get the tires and the bike to the same place at once.
  20. I'll be shipping my tires to you this week Hoblick. Probably from American Motorcycle Tire. I'll keep an eye on the tracking info and will let you know a day or so ahead of time when they'll be there.
  21. I'm an Eagle Scout too. We hiked for 21 days in the mountains at Philmont. About 80 miles all total. That was the most amazing and intense experience of my life. Sooner or later I'll add the AT to that list.
  22. Yep. I was thinking the same thing. Figured it was a typo. I have never heard of a thru hike starting North and going South. I imagine it's done, but not the best way to go.
  23. I'm in for sure. Front and rear tires and sag (been wanting to do a proper sag adjustment for years but I never have a helping hand) I'll ship my tires to your place as soon as possible and will give you a heads up.
  24. I work in Westerville. 13 would probably be too big, though I'm willing to try.
