  1. ^ I agree but I'll see if bar risers help enough first since this bike has everything to my liking and I don't want to start over if I don't have to.
  2. I was waiting for you to say that ha, although if I keep the gsxr I'll likely be bringing it to you for some new rubbers. The fz6 I think would be a pretty nice bike but I'm just not a huge fan of the looks, I would choose the fz8 over that but used ones are rare. But the cheaper route I think is to try bar risers and like you guys said if that doesn't help I'll sell it for something else if I can sell it and not take a huge hit since I just got it last year.
  3. How do the liter bikes in a sport tourer compare to a super sport 600? I would like to stay around 600 (mainly insurance reasons and I'm still getting comfortable with the 600). I do like the monsters but I don't have the slightest idea of how basic maintenance on those are.
  4. ^ I'm not sure if I would go with something sporty looking or the naked route. Anything but half naked, not a fan.
  5. Well I'm not saying I won't do a track day it's just that this year may be kind of hard with so much going on, but I never know. For the right price you can keep it in there for good ha.
  6. The only time I got caught in the snow was when I was doing my MSF course and I definitely wasn't dressed warm enough.
  7. Yeah I need to find a good pair of summer gloves and maybe get some gear for my fiancee but wasn't sure what kind of companies would be there and if they'd have any deals.
  8. Is it worth going to? Never been to one but I'm curious if it's a big show with a lot of vendor deals or not.
  9. I know it won't be as great as a full on touring bike but just a little bit better positioning for longer rides may help. But I may be wrong thinking risers will ease the pain a little. Yeah it was paid in cash but honestly I don't really want a second bike nor do I have extra space for another.
  10. Thanks for the input guys. I think I'll try and see if I can find any bar risers that'll work with my year gsxr and go from there. And cyclecat doesn't have anything for my gsxr but it looks like pretty nice stuff. And IP, why wouldn't you go with sport bike clips on again? Just curious.
  11. So last year I bought my gsxr 600 with the intentions of hitting the track a lot, but I'm realizing it's going to be hard to do that this year with so much going on. At the end of last year I found myself wanting to do long 6-7 hour rides through southern ohio and the gsxr just gets uncomfortable after about half way through. So my question is does it make sense to get bar risers (if I can) for the gsxr or should I sell it for a more sport-touring oriented bike? I have a hard time coming up with reasons for selling besides the fact it gets uncomfortable no matter how in shape I am, but I don't know if bar risers will make it as comfortable as I want it, and when I looked for clip ons for my year gsxr there weren't many options since the fairing is so close to the bars when fully turned. Thanks for any input.
  12. I understand being annoyed when driving but this guy in Australia is just insane. Not sure what I'd do in this situation, especially when you have nothing to defend yourself with due to the gun laws in Australia and have to just keep trying to get away hoping you don't break down. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63dw7Nji7jA
  13. Well I had an afternoon to kill so I went down to Iron Pony today to see check out different textiles in person and really went in planning to buy the Deuce pants but ended up buying the A* Oxygen textile pants. The Deuce textile pants are a nice pant but they were tight at the waist but very loose in the knees and extremely long. The A* pants were all around more comfortable although they're still a little loose in the knees but they work a lot better for an overpant then the scorpions I think. They also come with the zipper attachment all the way around the pants so I can have the other end sewn into my jacket which is nice. Now I'm debating on getting strap on knee armor or seeing if I can get velcro patches put in behind the knee so I have the option to tighten them while riding. I wish Iron Pony had more pants in stock (I think I'm just being picky) but it's definitely nice being able to try stuff on instead of ordering something and having to deal with the hassle of sending stuff back online just to see what works.
