  1. Yeah, not happy with NYST at this point. Their communication is terrible...can never call and get someone on the damn phone, they straight up lied to me, and they continue to make it impossible for me to drive 7 hours to spend money with them. About ready to say fuck it and give up on that place, which is sad because it looks amazing. I thought their customer service was awesome after they redeemed my groupon last year and said I could use it through this year. Well turns out they redeemed it, got paid, and now are saying the days are no longer valid even though I have copies all the copies of correspondence they asked me to keep. If that wasn't bad enough, I was enticing other people to go....then NYST quotes them the normal $180/day price for the weekend even though EVERYTHING says $125 for the first trip to NYST. Sad....
  2. I happen to have a surplus of pain killers....if you were so inclined
  3. Still plenty of time to move plans around!
  4. Mine somehow contorted itself into a pretzel shape last weekend. I'm planning on attempting to straighten the twisted mess out, but I'm not very optimistic about the chances of success. More or less, it is an excuse to play with some torches and probably burn myself in the process. Anyway, throwing a feeler out there anyone got one? Would even consider a 1000 header and trying to piece together something.
  5. Destroyed subframe, rearset peg, rear brake master cylinder, and clip on......repairable fairing stay, rearset, exhaust hanger and fairings need a little attention.....repairing the exhaust is questionable, it is kinked up into a Z shape in the mid pipe and the can is messed up pretty well Ripped into it a bit yesterday, it is all torn down besides the fairings/stay, bike is still on the trailer with the 750 and I can't access everything needed to remove them. The necessary parts are on order, holding off on the exhaust till I tinker with this one a bit.
  6. Weather is looking great today, enjoy!
  7. I try to unscrew my front axle while the pinch bolts are tight too....isn't that how you are supposed to do it? Fork was out of the triple, solidly mounted in a bench vice with a spare vortex clip-on...no pinch bolt friction. Speaking of pinch bolts though.....this guy he-man'd the crap out of the pinch bolts on the lower casting as well. No locktite, galling, corrosion or anything else, when it broke free I could spin it by hand.....it was just torqued to hell and back. These are the forks that came with the track bike originally, the ones where the caliper bolts were over-torqued to the point of stripping, the brake pad pins were sealed in by construction adhesive, and the nice guy sold me a motorcycle with a shock that wasn't even bolted in place (there was a bolt, with no nut securing it).
  8. don't think they leak, but they haven't been on a bike for 4 years.....the fork body is painted black, tubes are still chrome bring me a beer and they are yours if the need shipped, get me $5+ shipping
  9. 04/05 GSXR 600/750's call for 25.5 ft/lbs of torque on the fork caps.......that is twenty five and a half foot pounds. A good sized crescent wrench is about a foot long, so if you push on it till you feel the pressure about the equivalent to 25lbs, your good. Now if you happen to have the correct socket and a 3/4" impact, don't use it. Yes, putting around 200lbs of torque on the cap will probably secure it.....and it may make you feel like a man....but it really isn't necessary, and the next person to work on the shit you touch may write a post on the internet about how much of a dipshit you are. a 28" breaker bar, 1 1/4" deepwell socket and a torch shouldn't be required to remove a fork cap.....let alone putting enough force into the breaker bar that you almost fall over when it does break loose. /vent
  10. Work like new. Few singe marks on the inside, but nothing major. Have never been left on when removed from tires. Work well, but I just picked up a set of chicken hawks from the N2 airfence fundraiser. $100 if I don't have to ship.
  11. Noooo! Say it ain't so!
  12. John....just caught the video.....damn!!! Looks like you were in just a little too tight early on 12....never even thought about that situation before. Some turns inside curbing can be pretty nasty, but most of Mid-O is pretty smooth transition on/off the curb. I know T2 at PIRC North can be like a small jump, upsetting the bike pretty close to what happened with you. Sorry about the crash and I hope you are starting to recover. Take it easy longer than you think you need to...
  13. well then maybe I need to get my dirt bike out and come riding with you....
  14. ^so does that mean PIRC in August? Another prime example of terrible body position....look how stiff and uncomfortable the rider looks as he waves to the cameraman. Fuck, I really need to do something about my ugly ass bike.....the one clean portion, the white wheel, looks pretty good though. Dan, where are my Pigpen # plates?
  15. He helped Ron out through the AMA chicane....so I have to give the CR credit there, but after the session the CR proceeded to mind fuck him completely. I should have recorded our track walk....Ron was in a state of near panic trying to figure out what he was doing so wrong.
  16. He made me question my riding...he deserves all the hate I can muster. Comparing my body position to Ron's...I felt insulted. Nah Road Atlanta when we were looking for the bump to A on our first day out on a new track.....the CR went from telling Ron he was doing pretty good, to critiquing his every turn & telling us both we sucked. If the comment came from PIRC....I'd sell my bike and quit riding the track lol
  17. If the intermediate group was placed on a scale of 1 to 10....you are right around a 7. You are using all your lean angle, look at those chicken strips!

and the finale.....pitted in because my tire was shagged and was getting tired, then Musky rolled up and got me to go right back out. Turned my personal best of a 1:55 once again, IE sucks and won't embed the video... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gq-T9IftHWo

    RIP Racers

A bike cutting out on the start is what I read as well...it seems very late for some type of rider error/stall off the line and you don't see anyone stationary off the immediate start. Doesn't seem to be any video of the initiation of the crash, earliest video I found showed riders falling off/skidding under the bridge/sign. RIP riders...
