  1. Normally get about 1 front for every 2 rears. I've stopped flipping the front after seeing a tire start delaminating from being ran reverse from new. In 2014 I had a Dunlop UK slick that started as a take off and I put something like 14 days on it....like Jester said, you start to lose confidence in the tire and have to change it out.
  2. without some significant suspension issues and with a flip, you will get 5 days easy out of a gpa rear into the 1:30's at Mid-O. I always planned for 4 days with a flip on a take-off gpa and got more than expected. That is on mixed abrasion tracks(not jennings), but I also tend to wear DOT tires down past the bars to a slick.
  3. If it isn't already sold, I'll take it off your hands. This weather is making me want a street bike again.
  4. Moto3 ftw! Always catch it and the GP.
  5. Dan's stand fell on his bike sometime during the trailer ride home, so he didn't escape unscathed. Wasn't all bad, had a good time. Best thing about the weekend is if we figured out Brandon's electrical issues for good. Hate to see missed laps due to a issue like that. On the positive side, we pretty much gave everybody's bike a easy shakedown to ensure they are ready to go for the next trackday.
  6. hurry up and wait time...... just hope the new owner has a bug in his ear when it comes to motorcycle related safety concerns
  7. Better watch ASAP....I was already expecting spoilers when I clicked in this topic Enjoyed the pass while I had it....the back catalog makes it even more worthwhile. Couldn't justify it once the "trackday equation" kicked in.
  8. Come down to mid-o....show up by 8:30 and make the riders meeting to get a feel of how a day goes. Tons of places to spectate and when you get tired of running around, come hang in the pits and bs with the riders. leather 1 pc is the way to go. Keep an eye out for used suits, some are not that pretty, but as long as there are no holes, stitching is in good shape and the thing fits....thats all that really matters IMHO.
  9. the answer to that is always a resounding YES! Wish I wasn't so invested into the 04/05 model, I'd be all over this
  10. nice bike & photos! you always cover the clutch?

    Flat track

is there anywhere local to give this a shot?
  12. Have to see how it goes....I'm torn between being cheap and replacing a water pump and a bunch of other little things, or replacing the whole car. Really don't want a car payment.....that is like a trackday and a half per month!
  13. Well, I'd love to lend a hand, but my car is on the way out.....not sure it is going to make it to/from work let alone the drive to your place. Need to get the issues with it sorted ASAP.
  14. Plenty of time left. What "needs" done to the truck?
  15. Some nice weather coming up this week; time to get the bike ready.
  16. This... It was either shut it down and put some very significant effort into it, or watch it continue to degrade.....I'm happy to hear there will be some downtime.
  17. I'd set a limit if Ron is involved.....although he doesn't exactly follow limits
  18. Hope to ride there again....
  19. Ron is just an easy target with his chicken strips and excessive lean angle
  20. Damn, you're going to be hungry....of course if you can stick close to Ron, you can blow by when he brakes 200 feet too early. That's still the straight right?
  21. So out of the whole bike....you are going to keep the rearsets and seat, rest of it will be minty fresh for the new season.
  22. Give me a full weekend there and you will be in trouble....
  23. I've got the slightly smaller black one...haven't had any issue with it. Modified one of the pop-up side trays to fit...it is nice having a little workspace on the toolbox that isn't IN the toolbox. If I had it to do over again, I'd probably go for the larger one.
  24. Road Atlanta...where they don't have to stop for a lunch break because everyone has plenty of time to make a sandwich on the back straight. Ron, I'm planning on getting another video just like this one on the 750s....
