So pissed, had a long reply typed and hit previous thread instead of post. Anyway, it wouldn't be hard to fab up at this point. Two components need machined on a lathe, but it is nothing complicated. Ignoring those two parts, materials and hardware come in under $100 and it can all be done with a chop saw, drillpress, taps, grinder, welder and some wrenches. Was also thinking about making the top modular, basically a slip and pin fit into the base. That way it wouldn't be as awkward to haul to the track.

I'm thinking of doing race school straight away. Opens the option for racing. I'll probably do race school and a trackday/race weekend. Maybe with a trackday at mid-o thrown in the middle.

Picked up some rubber. Add that to what is already mounted and I should have about 12 trackdays worth of tires. I think my street bike is going to be a daily driver this year ....lots of take-offs to burn up and I still have a set of road 2's that have a track day and 1k miles on them. Also picked up a new tool to make it a little more comfortable working on crap. Started off using the wheel chock, then switched to the front triple stand. The stands are a little more awkward than the chock when installing the bike, but the chock limits what you can work on. I'm pretty damn surprised with how stable it is. I stepped up on the side of the thing with the bike on there and didn't seem to give or flex at all. I'll be using it every time I work on a bike. The downside is, the jack is piece of shit and the pump lever is about 2x longer than it needs to be.

Accidents happen. More people at shows = more accidents. Sometimes there are spikes in accidents; for example, multiple plane crashes in a single day. That doesn't mean planes are unsafe; exact same logic applies here. You cant blame the car when someone drives one through a grocery store, you have to blame the idiots who take loaded firearms to a show where they are likely to be handled by someone other than yourself.

How is this not expected? We motivated a whole ton of people who don't practice good gun safety to get up and about at highly populated areas like gun shows.

those prices are laughable.... the thing really needs to be modular for owners with different style bikes....anyone seen anything like that before?

Fucking funny as hell. The moment you think it is going to take itself too seriously.....rapid fire hesterical death. 20 minutes from the end and I'm really hoping it doesn't turn serious toward the end, but we are running out of people.

Anyone have any experience with these types of stands? Drawbacks? I happen to have some extra nesting tubing and I'm thinking of throwing one of these together.

must have stopped carrying it, they have a couple small 900 watt 2 strokes, then jump up to 3500 and 4k....supposedly the 4k one I linked to earlier is a honda knock off.

honda? I think I've come to a conclusion....both will more than fit my needs. Since I missed the harbor freight open frame 4kw for $250 deal, I'll just wait it out till I spot another deal...hopefully either the champion inverter or standard models. Edit: Just got home, Priorty mail dropped off my $100 rearsets. Yep, they are the "One second faster" OSF rearsets....oh well, $125 spare set(after buying an extra peg), can't really complain. I'll have to pull them apart to compare the pegs to vortex and see if I can come up with a way to use vortex pegs on them. Hopefully its is a simple bushing, spacer, or boring out the levers, but I doubt I'll be that lucky.

Oh yeah, check the bolt pattern of your car vs the trailer. Mine fits, so I can use the spare in my trunk. I test fit it as well, the spare has to be installed dished out, and it will rub the fender, but that could be removed in a pinch. Saves hauling around a second spare.

may want to add in a support for the fenders, they vibrate/resonate and supposedly are one of the first parts to fail on these trailers....I know the vibrate like hell on mine, so I used a bungee cord to dampen the vibration.

3 sets? Thought they pulled about 1200 watts apiece? I guess they are just a bunch of resistance wire, so a little voltage drop won't kill em.

3500watt generator should power 2 sets of warmers and a couple accessories fine, right? Most of the time it will just be powering a single set.

I'll check it out. Would be easy to mount the gen to the trailer tongue and move the wheel chock back a few inches to balance.

I'll have to stop at TSC and take a look if they are in stock. How do you think it would hold up on an opened trailer? I can probably fit an inverter gen in my car, but an open frame would probably have to be tied down on my trailer.

Update: Worked on the bikes a bit yesterday...switched forks around so now the track bike has the 1.00 springs and the street bike has whatever the other bike came with. The "new" forks are a little beat, not rough, but you can defiantly see wear...hopefully they dont leak. Pulled the clip-ons off the street bike, because the stock bars will be more comfortable....Track bike already has a set of woodcrafts on, so I guess the vortex ones are going in the spares box. I'm not sure if it is the cold or if a gorilla was the last one to work on the bike, but a lot of the fasteners are way over torqued. One of the caliper bolts stripped out like butter...which caused a little headache removing the forks. Track bike already had steel braided lines on, so I installed the set I bought previously on the street bike. Ordered a couple sets of levers and a used set of rearsets for spares. Unfortunately I should have paid more attention when buying the rearsets, they said vortex in the description, and look similar, but it turns out they are OSF rearsets after inspecting them closer. No big deal, the ones on the bike (one vortex and one unlabeled) feel great, these will just be spares. Generators? Been keeping an eye out for a deal on a generator, the honda/yamaha/hyundai inverter generators are all a little out of my price range, but the a 73531i Champion is a little cheaper. The refurbished units run a little over $400. Reviews say it doesn't have the capacity of the more expensive units and does not handle initial start up loads as well, both shouldn't really be a negative for my usage. Other option is an open frame generator like This one harbor freight has for sale. Save some money, but then it is larger(transport and storage), louder(longer extension cord and walking back and forth), uses more gas, and parts support probably sucks for it.
