I read somewhere that putting your first name on your plate invites trouble - espcially for women. Shady men see it and then call her by name and claim to know her at which she engages them in conversation which can lead to all sorts of stuff.

I've been thinking of picking up a compressor for awhile but don't know much about them...based on the reaction here this is a good one? *EDIT* Hmmm...seems to be quite a lot of customers saying it has problems with leaks.

Worst case...buy a refurbed one from Apple if you can. Refurbed items have to pass every quality inspection test which is more than the "new" ones which get the core inspections but may miss the random inspections. I've bought several refurbed items from Dell, Apple and Canon and they have all been flawless.

Yep, I know. Just throwing it out as an alternative for others who may not make this trip and go at a different time. Having options is good.

I'd love to go...I'll have to see how my wife's health is as we get closer to whatever date is picked. The handful of times we've gone down, we've stayed at the Pisgah in which is a few hours away from the dragon but via some incredibly scenic and twisty roads. The Inn is small but nice and they have a fabulous restaurant.

I don't need a bike currently but your link doesn't seem to work for me (gets redirected but could be because I'm at work) and you should probably list things like frame size and type of components on the bike. GLWS

The January 2013 issue of Motorcyclist as a nice article on the Multistrada. I'd love to ride all the bikes mentioned here and compare them.
