  1. Having a full fairing doesn't hurt either
  2. Unfortunately, I have to wear dressy clothes so it's a bit of a pain to wear thermals and then have to take them off once I get to work.
  3. I decided I'm going to ride into work tomorrow even though it will prolly be 40 degrees in the morning. I need to get some proper cold weather riding pants (I have some mesh pants currently) and I think I'll try to ride more, regardless of the cold. I have 25 mile commute, mostly interstate so it does get chilly!
  4. Link didn't work right for me...and did you mean "should NOT play catch up"? What a dumbass...this is why I just slow the fuck down if I'm getting left behind. I had one close call and that was enough for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUpgg1hWh60

    Woot-Off

Ooooh...the $4500 one I would have actually considered. I like me some nice watches.
  6. As an update, I pulled the indicator from the bike and shipped it back to them on Friday. I emailed the rep back and sent him an image of the USPS shipping receipt and let him know it was on it's way (it's going to Hungary). He thanked me and said they would ship me a new one on Monday which is cool since they definitely won't get my return until late next week. Overall, pretty good customer service. Not sure why it quit working right but at least they stand behind their product.

Music files do not count against your storage limit.
  8. There are a lot of bikes with gear indicators built in, especially touring bikes. My FJR did. The one I am referring to is not built in but an add-on. http://www.healtech-electronics.com/ They make one for your bike BTW. I emailed their customer service/tech support a few times and we weren't able to fix the issues so they told me to send it back and they'll send a new one. They seem to have decent customer service. The sucky part is I was all anal about routing the cable nice with zip ties etc under a bunch of parts. So taking it off will be a pain and then I have to re-install. I don't think I'll be as anal this time around :/
  9. This is definitely one of the most tolerant and laidback forums I have been a part of in terms of moderation...and I've participated on quite a few.
  10. Because you're a hooligan from that OR forum!!!
  11. When I get pulled over for something I feel I didn't do (rare), I suck it up and move on. It's almost daily that I speed or something else unlawful and get away with it. I figure I'm well ahead of the ticket game. It does suck though.
  12. Glad to see they are getting away from all the plastic.
  13. I was close to letting my wife let me skip our appointment to meet up with you all and on a whim I tried to put on my riding boots this morning. The right one didn't fit because my ankle is still swollen from surgery. I think that was someone's way of telling me to hang back. I eneded up just riding out and getting some breakfast and then my gear indicator crapped out on me. WTF. Maybe we'll get one more nice weekend before the year is out
  14. Weird issue this morning...the gear indicator was working when I first started out but at some point, it stopped counting the gears and only shows 1 or 0 (if in neutral). I tried turning the bike off and on but it didn't help. Disconnected it and did the "reset" as described in the manual but same result. Anyone run across this before? Their site offers no other insight as to how to remedy it.
  15. I should be open for riding tomorrow
  16. Prepare to be dry ass raped in taxes. I own 2 small businesses (3 if you count the LLC for some rental property) and the amount of taxes we pay is unreal. Get a lawyer to get an LLC or similar set up for you to indemnify you against lawsuits against your business regardless of what type of business it is. If someone falls in your store, they can sue you and your business and you can lose your car, home, everything. An umbrella insurance policy is handy too. Having an accountant is not compulsory but it helps, especially if you are going to have employees. Hoblick made a lot of great points too. Starting a small business is hard but rewarding work. If you want to pull down big bucks, you are going to have to sacrifice and work your ass off for a while and often time wondering if it's even worth it.
  17. Since there's a similar thread about central OH, I thought I'd ask the same for recommendations in the Cinci area. I know Target World has classes but I'm not their biggest fan. The guys there all seem to want to be the arrogant I KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT GUNS type which is irritating. My wife and I have been wanting to do this for awhile but her schedule sucks so we never seem to set aside time to do it. I'm just going to schedule it and she better damn well show up
  18. So, party at your house then?
  19. Thanks for the confirmation...I thought that's what the book was about and when I watched the trailer I was thinking "I don't remember any of this"??? If I recall, the book was documentary-ish.
  20. Cool, I read the book...I don't remember the story though.
