  1. Looks awesome...been wanting one for a while but haven't found a good place to shoot it yet and have been hesitant to spend the cash right now with some other things going on.
  2. I've been pretty quiet about this to date but my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer about a month ago. She's scheduled to have a lumpectomy this Friday. The good news is, the prognosis (to date) is very good and it was caught relatively early through self-exam. We have to wait for the pathology reports, results of the genetic testing, results of the Oncotype DX testing (forecasts odds of recurrence), and the results of the lymph node exam to be done during the surgery. All of this will determine next steps (chemo, mastectomy, etc, etc). I post not for well wishes etc, but as a PSA for the ladies to do your self-exams and mammograms and for the guys to remind your ladies to do their due diligence. In the past year, three women from my office were diagnosed and one passed a few months ago. It can happen to you or your loved one.
  3. :werd:This is a rarity for me...I usually avoid discussing religion and politics online (or in person). It always starts out ok then degenerates quickly, usually ending up in one or more bans.
  4. It certainly can be when being taken to extremes, which unfortunately seems to be the rule and not the exception anymore. However, it works both ways. I work with a guy that I'm friends with who was headed down a very bad path for a while. For whatever reason, he "found God" and has cleaned himself up and become a model citizen. It's been wonderful for him.
  5. I'm going to hell on scholarship. While I'm not religious, I think religion is good (in moderation, as with all things) as it provides a moral compass for those who may otherwise stray to the dark side. Fear of divine retribution and/or eternal damnation can be powerful motivator which is why it was used to control people for centuries.
  6. LOL, new male member says hi...a few responses. Female member and they come out of the woodwork.:wackit: Welcome!
  7. All it takes is to look away for a few seconds. This video illustrates it very well.
  8. Sorry to hear. When my wife had her wreck, she broke her pelvis. I was in front of her at the time and when I came back, she was lying on the road on her back. She seemed ok but she said it hurt to move her legs. I made sure she didn't move but otherwise, she seemed ok. I spent about 10 mins on the phone with the insurance company and calling some family members. What I found out later is that with pelvic breaks, it's not uncommon for the broken pieces to sever one of several major arteries that run through there and the person can bleed out internally in just minutes. I realized what an idiot I was for getting on the phone and how bad I would have felt if she died while I was reiterating may personal info for the insurance rep instead of being there with her. Lesson learned.

I have like 5k rollover minutes. I rarely talk on the phone and I've been using it for work conference calls and stuff.

Call MQuick and tell him his quad has been stolen again
  11. They're gone. I have a few others though although off the top of my head, can't remember which ones. My office is upstairs and since I'm recovering from Achilles surgery, stairs and I aren't on speaking terms. What are you looking for? I can have my wife play gopher for me when she gets home.

Do not buy third party cables yet...ones on eBay have been pulled because they are burning out any phones attached. Apparently these are a bit more sophisticated than previous cables... http://www.macrumors.com/2012/09/25/apples-lightning-connector-uses-adaptive-technology-to-dynamically-assign-pin-functions/
  13. I'd like to tear down my WR250 and clean it up, lube it, etc. Haven't decided if I should take it on or not. Never done such a thing before so odds are good that I'll end up with extra parts and/or a very large paperweight.
  14. At first glance, I thought this thread said "Bengal" forehead. Now THAT would be stupid.
  15. I actually have an article written on buying/selling on craigslist. Debating on whether or not to publish it. So many people suck at making ads.
  16. This is why I hate selling things on Craigslist. When making an ad, clearly state that the if the item is still listed, it is still for sale and you will remove the ad immediately upon sale. This will mitigate the "is it for sale" emails from real buyers so you can immediately disregard any such inquiries. Then again, people don't read/comprehend for shit.

I don't drop my shit...I only need something to protect it from random scratches etc. I bought this case - http://www.iphonecaze.com/iphone5/iphone-5-zero5-ultra-thin-cases.html Waiting for it to be shipped. These iPhones hold up better than any previous.

Interested to know how these work out. I've been watching monoprice to see when they get them.
  19. Doh...I hadn't even looked into buying a used one to know what the prices were but I knew they were a few hundred dollars new. Thanks for the good deal...my wife would hug you if you were here.
  20. Hey, I'll take it...PM me your info. I can Paypal or how ever you want.
