  1. I can tolerate a few psi off either way...I just don't want shit way off because the gauge is jacked up. I have a few digital but most are analog.
  2. This is why I have about 6 gauges, I pit them against each other in a deathmatch. Actually, I just get a "second opinion" from another gauge to make sure they are reading accurately. Otherwise, you never know when they get out of calibration.
  3. That's good news. Keep it up and you'll be rolling like this pretty soon
  4. Can't wait to find something else on sale
  5. If you can use only one hand, it's not big enough
  6. I own a similar one but I like to keep a gauge in each car in the event I need to check it while I am out so I picked up another one.
  7. I know peeps are always looking for these... https://www.amazon.com/Motor-Luxe-Tire-Pressure-Gauge/dp/B01JWKOY5U Hurry, it's a lightning deal that ends in 4 hours.
  8. Nice scoot...needs some Hello Kitty stickers Welcome!
  9. The wife has already told me I've reached my new (to me) motorcycle quota for the foreseeable future... At that time I didn't point out that the LV purse she bought at the time I got the bike cost about 1/3 the price of the bike. I'll be saving that one for later.
  10. Yeah, checked it...it was clean. Also, when I checked the rear tire, I saw the uncharacteristic sideways scrape marks on an otherwise virgin area of tire. Believe it or not, it didn't scare me as much as I would've thought. Probably because a) I wasn't going that fast and there were no hard barriers (trees, guardrails, etc) or other traffic nearby b) having ridden off-road for years, it wasn't something I hadn't experienced before c) I was fully geared up. It wasn't a huge drift but long enough that I had time to evaluate the above and think - FUCK! I'm gonna wreck this bike before it's even had its first service! I'm running the Bridgestone T30's that came on the bike. The same tires I bought a second set of because of the rebate promotion so they better pan out to be good tires!

    VPN's

Exactly...but everyone is in panic mode I can't tell you how many people have asked me about VPN's in the past few weeks. I use one but only occasionally to protect my browsing while on public networks or to circumvent region restrictions when traveling abroad.

    VPN's

I know everyone is all over VPN's right now because of the whole ISP data privacy thing and I ran across this site on FB. Handy reference if you are looking into that sort of thing. https://thatoneprivacysite.net/simple-vpn-comparison-chart/ Keep in mind, just because your ISP can't snoop and sell your data when using an ISP doesn't mean your VPN company won't be doing the same - especially the free ones (remember, if a product /service is free, it's likely you are the product being sold). Pay attention to the TOS for the VPN to see what they won't and will do with your data. Personally, I'm not worried about ISP's selling my data...Google, Facebook, retailers (if using their rewards programs), credit card companies, etc are all already doing it so unless you are living off the grid already it's a little late to start worrying about it now.
  13. Nope...I was even throttle and was barely midway into the curve what it happened (i.e. didn't occur on the exit). I really think the cold had a lot to do with it...not only were the tires somewhat cold (had been on the interstate but stopped 10 mins for gas) but I'm sure the road was very cold as well...it had gotten down to near freezing that night. I also read an article about tire break-in that talked about how heat cycles on the tire help "cure" it to break in. It's been cold (60's or less) every ride I've done since I've gotten it so maybe there's some merit to that.
  14. They are supposed to turn off on their own...presumably after a period of time following disconnection from the main unit.
  15. This is the RC3 remote I'm referring to...not rechargeable, uses a watch type battery.
  16. He should've gotten life...attempted murder on not one but two people. Maybe some bikers in prison will make him their prison bitch.
  17. Sorry, DTC...dynamic traction control.
  18. I'm going to try the second battery they included.
  19. I just checked Sena's site...battery is supposed to last 5 months I haven't even owned the thing 3 weeks, and only used it for maybe 250 miles worth of rides at most.
  20. Well, if you haven't yet...don't buy this shitbox remote. Rode for 4 hours today (after having used it on one commute and a few other SHORT rides) and the remote started cutting out halfway through the ride - the battery was dying. Then it died out altogether. It came with an extra battery but shit, at this rate I'd have to carry a handful on a trip. I might have to go back to the other one
  21. Yep, ABS Pro...works with the lean sensor as does DCT.
  22. Today was the first day I had time to take the new bike down to NKY and hit some of the twisty roads. Up until now it's been interstate and some residential streets - nothing really technical. Got to the very first hairpin turn on 915 off of AA, was maybe doing ~40mph in third gear and leaned her over trying to gauge how far before the pegs start dragging and - the rear wheel started to slide out from under me. So I basically did a power slide around the curve and managed to pull out of it somewhat gracefully, save for a little hitch were I got traction again and the bike was still slightly angled sideways, pitching me a little like it would on a high side. I took it relatively easy the rest of the 150 mi ride. I think it was caused by a few factors 1- new tires (<300 miles and no wear on the edges yet) and 2- it was around 42F outside so though I had ridden the interstate to get there, the tires probably weren't very warm. Also, I was in Dynamic mode (nanny systems are at a minimum) which I'm not sure if contributed to the slip and helped me pull it out as it realized the wheel was slipping or didn't really play a factor. I wasn't accelerating through the curve, just steady on the throttle so it's not like I broke the rear wheel loose with too much power. Regardless, I rode in "road" mode (nanny systems are in normal mode) the remainder of the ride since it was still cold and the tires are still breaking in. I might have to get the sandpaper out.
  23. I'll have to watch this tonight but who guessed correctly? This guy
  24. Apparently someone with a conscience over on the FZ1 forum contacted Bridgestone and let them know of their error(s) which they are amending so it doesn't continue to happen
  25. Yep, and the rad/oil cooler guard. I ordered a new windscreen too. This one is OK but not going to cut it for long rides.
