I can't make the June run but am planning on trying to do another fall run. Then again, I've been thinking about riding up to upstate NY where I'm from and hitting VT etc. Really depends on how much vacation I have left when I get later in the year. I already used 3 weeks on the dive trip

Hey, I just saw a commercial for your car. Not bad looking.

Mine is adjustable as well but apparently the lawyers for MB are more cautious that the ones at Kia.

My mirros fold when the car is off and I really like that feature too. On my previous car, you had to do it manually every time. My wife's Touareg did the folding mirrors as well. Save people from hitting them with doors or bumping them as they are walking between cars. Adaptive cruise is nice but I have one gripe about it and it's mainly a result of driving habit. Normally when you are driving along on the interstate and you are going to pass someone, you wait until you are relatively close to the car in front of you before getting over - especially if some asshat is driving slow in the fast lane and you need to get far enough ahead of them first. With the adaptive cruise, I find that my car starts to slow down and match the speed of the car ahead before I'm ready to get over so it gets to be annoying. Of course, it may be different on every car brand and as I said, it's partly based on behavior so YMMV.

Kia Niro...final answer

I tried the remote out yesterday and it works great. I can clip it to my tank bag or sleeve and it has mounts for attaching to whatever part of the bike you want. I might pick up one of these for a place to mount it without sticking it to something more permanent. http://www.twistedthrottle.com/denali-flat-switch-mount-for-horizontal-perch-bolts-single-or-double

The Ultravibe 2000?

When I travel, I usually just used bottled water. I have a spare water reservoir that I use for travel because bottled water tends to leave behind mineral deposit stains. Actually, every time I get a new one, I throw away the oldest and use the previous one for this purpose. Same with the hose.

Welcome neighbor! I was very close to getting a B-King at one point but it sold before I could get there and check it out. Maybe one day we can hook up and swap bikes for a bit...I've always wanted to ride one.

If you really need a CPAP it's all yours Actually, since I've lost so much weight my dependence on a CPAP is minimal. On the last trip I had to sleep several nights without it and my wife said I was breathing just fine. No snoring or apnea episodes that she could discern. So, on motorcycle road trips I might leave that sucker behind because it takes up so much room.

They should have better controls in place to prevent double-dipping. Maybe your whiz-kid can skool them in getting their technology tightened up. Besides, I technically bought 2 sets of tires...one set happened to be attached to a bike. I just hope the end up being good tires.

Damn dude, that sucks ass. Seems like whenever i really start to get in shape or in a groove, I get sidetracked by an injury. Studies have shown that exercise done on the opposite limb has a beneficial impact on an injured limb that may be immobilized or limited in use. BTW, you keep doing that and you'll go blind too ya know.

I received this today but didn't have time to mess with it because I also got a stack of parts for the bike that I put on this evening. Will post up in the next few days what I think.

I didn't know your given name was Bubba?

So I bought the tires from RM ATV and went to Bridgestone's site and filled out/submitted the rebate form on 3/21. On Bridgestone's site it says the rebate request was received. Today I got an email from RM ATV saying I should fill out the rebate request via their site "that facilitates the rebate process". I'm guessing that I don't need to do this since I submitted everything already and it should be sufficient but I'm wondering if I should hedge my bets and fill it out in case the first one is NIGO for some reason. I just don't want them denying it altogether for duplicate submission. Did anyone do both?

^^this...I go in with my headphones on, get shit done and get out. If I had a workout partner, it'd be no chit chat.

Also, whomever at BMW designed the body parts for this thing was a sadistic bastard. There are like 500 pieces that make up the plastic fairing/body and they are all part screwed in and part push/pull socket connections. It's hard to tell when to yank to pop them out and when there's a screw holding it in. I kept thinking I was going to break something. You need three hands in some spots to hold all the pieces in position and then screw it in. I guess the good news is that if you damage something, it's a smaller piece and not the whole damn side of the bike but jeez. All the bolts are very similar too. Very close in size with different sized shoulders. I ended up having to follow the parts fiche to figure out whick size bolt when where (they are all M5 so they all at least partially fit). I kinda lost track after having to remove a lot more shit than I thought I would have to. Oh and BMW uses Torx bolts on EVERYTHING. I had to get new t-handles and socket w/Torx heads just to work on the thing.

Got nearly all the parts in now except foot pegs and Rizoma mirrors coming tomorrow. The remaining are coming from Europe (slip-on, levers, and rad guard) so who knows when they'll come in. Hard to tell but I added so carbon fiber bits to the bike. Looks great. I found a place in GA that is relativlely inexpensive. I did a mini-review here - http://s1000xroa.com/forum/index.php?topic=67.msg152#msg152

Just let it ride Tim. Let your body adjust to your current weight...after while it starts to become stubborn because it thinks there's famine or something let your body establish this new set point and then challenge it again. It will help make sure the weight stays off (unless you really go off the deep end).
