  1. Yep, the real soreness doesn't creep in until about 2 days later. Unless you take a few weeks off, from here on out the soreness will be minimal after a workout.
  2. I just saw there was a recall on these...something about a missing warning sticker that could cause someone to use the incorrect brake fluid, causing brake failure. Owners are supposed to be contacted by the company. I saw the article on Flipboard late last night.
  3. If you aren't running RAID, a PCIE drive or using Rapid Storage Technology then don't worry about it. If you don't know what those are, you aren't using them. I would just disable it from starting up at boot so you don't have to worry about it - here's how - http://www.howtogeek.com/74523/how-to-disable-startup-programs-in-windows/
  4. It depends how deep down the rabbit hole you want to go. If you are only worried about brower history, cookies and such, you can do that through the browsers - if you have multiple browsers, each would need to be done separately. It's very easy - Google for how to for each. If you are worried about other files you may have had on there (i,e,. in appropiate pics/movies) the best method is to take out the drive and take a hammer to it but I suspect the company wants their hardware back intact. Of course, you could buy a new drive and replace it if it's worth spending the money on though it will lack the OS and any software that was on there.. You can secure erase a drive but that would wipe the entire drive, OS and all. There are tools for this and may differ for spinning platter drives vs SSDs and require booting from another drive (i.e. this is more technically demanding than other methods). There are apps like CCleaner that have a function specifically for this but you may be limited to what you can install on your work PC if they have taken away admin rights. If that's the case, there is an app that you can run from a thumbdrive (requires no installation on the PC) that can also perform this function. http://portableapps.com/apps/security/eraser-portable Another solution... http://www.howtogeek.com/137108/how-securely-overwrite-free-space-in-windows/ If you do not have full right access to the entire drive due to restrictions on the Windows Group Policy, you may be SOL. Most of the above only address the "free space" - when you delete a file, it doesn't really get deleted, only the index reference to it gets deleted. This is how you can recover accidental deletions. Existing valid files like cookies, temp files and the like will still be there unless you clear them out with the browser or CCLeaner. No guarantees that there aren't other temp files somewhere else that leave clues as to your previous doings. All of that said, odds are they won't even look at the drive contents. Many companies remove the hard drives and destroy them and then donate the pc to charity or send for recycling. Some also may repurpose it for temp employees or as an emergency backup in which case they woudl re-image the drive, effectively erasing all of your data.
  5. Depends on what you did. For instance, if you did strength training in your legs, I definitely would not do cardio the next day that heavily involve the legs. You could do circuit training (upper body) for cardio or swimming since it's primarily core/upper body. But if you just did upper body strength training, do all the cardio you want with your legs next day or even same day. Somewhere in this thread I posted how I split things up. If you are still really sore the second day, you should probably not use those muscles intensely for that day either. Nearly all muscles need at least one rest day in between before hitting them hard again. The older you are, the longer the recovery tends to need to be. I try to skip at least 2 days between working the same muscle groups directly. Two exceptions - calves and abs. They are very resilient and can be done back to back days but just make sure to rest them at some point (i.e. three days in a row is probably pushing it). When you lift, you cause micro tears in the muscles. The repairing of these is what grows the muscle and adds strength as you recruit more muscle fibers. If you don't give this enough time to repair itself, you'll tear down the muscles again below where they were before so it's counter productive. If you can do more that 20 reps, the weights are too light, try again. Conventional training methods says weights that you can only do 2-6 reps build strength, 6-12 reps gets more into hypertrophy (muscle growth) and 12-20 is more endurance building though they all overlap to a degree. New studies have shown that using lighter weights with higher reps can be as effective as heavier weights for building muscle but not everyone is sold on it and there are specific methods to follow. I actually have a lot of knowledge around fitness and exercise from school and always being an avid reader of fitness related stuff. In my case, just because you know what to do doesn't help if you aren't doing it.
  6. Sale is good through the end of Dec but I think at this point you have to call them...the web site no longer takes the code (see link in OP).
  7. Nice. I met Fatal1ty at CES one year...he was pretty cool. We tried to take a serious face pic and instead look like dorks
  8. I believe he also said they were coming out with a larger displacement bike that he was interested in as well.
  9. Yeah...I hadn't really planned up upgrading but then I got to talking to a buddy at work who recently re-did his system and I got caught up in it. I hadn't really upgraded (other than the GPU) in several years. It used to be an annual thing for me but I don't use my desktop as much anymore except for gaming and power hungry applications like video/photo editing. I just decided to make this a bling build as well...had never really done that. Not sure why I am because no one ever sees the damn thing but me...SMH
  10. 'ol Chinabike has treated him well as per our conversation on the fall gap trip.
  11. Time for a PC refresh... I started out just getting a new CPU, mobo, and RAM but got carries away and bought a new PSU (with white sleeved cables ) - Corsair Carbide 540 Air case shown separately as it arrived this am but I haven't opened it and because I'm out of my fucking mind I ordered a Galax 1080 GTX HOF simply because it's white (it's also faster than my Asus card) and rounds out the silver/white theme. This thing is going to look sick. More pics when it's built. Not shown is the NZXT Kraken x62 h20 cooler which arrives today and the Samsung 960 EVO m.2 SSD which should be (hopefully) shipping by tomorrow. I'll carry over my SSD's, and HDD'd along with the Blu-ray dive and card reader bay. So, I'll prolly have some nice parts for sale soon - I'll have to look up the exact part #'s...4770k processor, mobo, Corsair H100i GTX cooler, Corsair (4x4) 16GB DDR3 RAM, Asus STRIX 1080GTX, Corsair 600C case, Corsair HX1000w PSU, etc. Actually, the whole system is pretty much staying intact except for the SSDs, card reader and Blu-ray drive.
  12. Looks like this is ok in KY as well (important for me because I work there) http://smartgunlaws.org/guns-in-vehicles-in-kentucky/
  13. shit happens. I had pizza myself Sat night because we were running crazy trying to get caught up on Xmas stuff and then my sister stopped by and before you know it, it was 8pm and we hadn't eaten and never made it to the grocery store so pizza delivery it was ! i did make it to the gym the next morning though but felt like a bloated tick which is another good reminder why I quit eating that stuff. Oh well, it's a mararthon not a sprint.
  14. Who wants to go? http://motorcycleshows.com/city/cleveland-oh
  15. Technically, if they want to, they can charge you with criminal trespassing but I agree they would typically just tell you to leave as long as you aren't being a dick and they aren't die hard anti-gun tree huggers. I agree about the bar thing...nothing good down that road
  16. It's hard to avoid NOT leaving it in the car these days with so many places prohibiting them on the premises. Sure, you could probably carry it in without anyone knowing but run the risk of criminal trespassing or even a felony depending on the establishment. Gun safes in the car are good options.
  17. Where I work the lots aren't "secure" but monitored via video and patrolled, plus the site is somewhat secluded from public areas. We haven't had a break in for years. its not so much for having it at work, it's for the places I may go before, after or during lunch.
  18. Interesting If you conceal carry in OH, your employer cannot fire you for leaving you gun in the car on company property where they are explicitly prohibited I'll have to see what the law is in KY on that no firearms allowed on my work site but I've often wanted to just leave it locked in the car http://www.businessinsider.com/ohio-gun-owners-more-lgbt-employees-civil-rights-2016-12
  19. Yeah...not really sure I want to get canned for skirting security restrictions so I can look at gun porn.
  20. Yeah...my work filters a lot of the net...not sure how this shit hole makes it past the filter
  21. Oh, very nice. My wife wants another compact 9mm (she has a Kel-Tec she's not crazy about). I love Sig firearms.
  22. If you are cutting you're calories substantially, not much chance of beefing up enough to have a big impact on your weight (and those are good lbs). Usually that takes a calorie surplus or at least break even if you are at least moderately overweight. More muscle = more calorie burn at rest. I've done very little cardio comparitively...I lift about 4 days a week which (along with eating clean) has fueled my weight loss and filled me out in the right places. There are studies that show weight training is more effective than cardio because of the "longer burn" after the exercise has ended. The exception being HIIT which is anaerobic like weight training (if you are doing it right).
  23. I'd rather do anything than be on the elliptical...
  24. Sounds reasonable to me! On a related note, if we ever get substantial snow (not that I want it), I plan on shoveling it rather than using the ATV to plow. My driveway is frickin' huge so I'll probably burn a bazillion calories. It might kill me but dammit I'll be thin
