  1. Yeah. I really want to spend more in upgrades than the original bike
  2. 111cc likely slower than the already slow Grom.
  3. All bikes can go off road. Only question is whether they crash immediately when doing so at speed.
  4. Glad they stated there side of the deal. Being Christian doesn't mean they can't do bad things. I know it makes some other Christians feel better to hear that they are a Christian business but to others it can also be a red flag. Like saying 'I would never rip you off'. Simply saying that makes me think you might.
  5. Totally sweet build thread and someone has to go first. Ryan, you are breaking new ground in Ohio!
  6. Getting financing on something you already had repossessed once is unlikely. Best to save up and buy outright or lower expectations on what to buy. Can't hurt to try but I wouldn't count on it.
  7. I know it's early, but if you get 58's before May 1st on that bike I will be surprised. Maybe 57's before the end of 2014 season. I wish you well and love that you are doing it. I just don't think the bike is very capable.
  8. Appreciate the build thread.
  9. I bought a set of them for my Super Moto and they worked well. The front did fail after 5 or 6 uses. Just stopped heating up. I never leave them on when not on the tires and always hang them up gently when they come off the bike. No signs of burning. I just emailed them for warranty, let's see how they respond. I'm hesitant to recommend them at this point, but maybe. They are less expensive than CH's which is the only other type I have used.
  10. What if he was trying to get away?

    Advice needed

Seriously consider not doing anything. If you are happy with your current employer, there is no guarantee you will be with your new one. If you do, I would start high on the pay to make it worth it and listen to the above comments. Vacation is so important. I would be very cautious about job hoping unless you want that job more than your current one.
  12. Mostly misleading and not from Letterman but agree or disagree if you want. Just don't take them all as facts.
  13. I plan to race my CRF250R in OMRL all year with the intention of winning SM Expert. Please come try to stop me as the more bikes on the grid the better. We normally have 5-8 bikes which is fun. 10+ is even more fun. My profile pic is me at PIRC (Beaver Run) Wilson circuit.
  14. Well shit! I'm already out. OMRL schedule came out today and conflicts with OMRL Beaver Run round. This is the most fun round and points count double. I can't miss that. I will shoot for 2015 for the loop event. Sorry. I will keep this thread open to inform others.
  15. And that's just the starting bid. I am 99.999999999999% sure this won't sell. Anyone who is going to spend over $50K is going to have something built for them IMO.
  16. I should be there again this year with Kristi. Looking forward to it. Hoping the kids school calendar doesn't interfere with all these damn snow days. Chris
  17. From the Yahoo Group page which appears to be having some issues. Website here http://lakeerieloop.com/ (Doesn't appear updated, but entry form and fees are probably the same) Group Description In 2003, Bill Murar, a career firefighter/paramedic, rode over 12,000 miles on a four corners tour of the US to raise much needed cash for the Aluminum Cans for Burned Children Foundation. Many of these miles were ridden on a 1965 Sears 106SS motorcycle. This site is set up to inform people of the continuing fundraising efforts for pediatric burn victims by Bill and his wife, Joyce, a Registered Nurse. These efforts center around an annual motorcycle, moped and scooter endurance run, The Lake Erie Loop. The next Lake Erie Loop will take place the weekend of June 20-22, 2014. The ride will originate in NE Ohio, head west through Detroit, Mich. and Windsor, Ont. into Canada, east through Fort Erie and back into the US into Buffalo, NY, then back. Or, you can do it going the other way! 650 miles in a day!!! Not only can you help the burned kids by entering this ride, you can also put a few dollars in your own pocket. Read over the registration form in the files section to see how. Money paid to 1,2 & 3 of each class except Tourist. 50/50 split of the entry fees. From the website:http://lakeerieloop.com/rideinfo.html The bikes will be divided into four classes; =Unlimited 50's - if it started life as a 50cc it's eligible and vintage bikes up to 110cc. =125's - up to 125cc and vintage bikes up to 160cc. =200's - up to 200cc, any Cushman style scooter with a stock based motor (no Cushman hybrids) and vintage bikes up to 225cc. =Moped Class. It MUST have pedals. =Tourist class - any size, any bike. There will be no authorized competition in this class, it's a fun run only. A review of the event from 2008: http://www.coffeericeandbeans.com/print/Loop.html Some additional info: Bikes depart at 6:00. Sunrise is 5:53 AM. You can go either direction around the lake. Sunset at 9:04 PM. That over 15 hours of daylight to get yourself 650 miles. I will update the thread as people commit. (or get committed!) I'm wanting to do this. Last year it was the same weekend as OR Gap. Only questions for me are one/two up and on what? Aprilia RS125 2 stroke or Honda SH150i 4 stroke scooter. Most likely on the scooter and two up with Kristi. Anyone else out there dumb enough to join along? 1. TurnOne (Me) 1. TurnOne's Sammich Maker (Kristi)
  18. They are 9hp. Lodi RB9's I believe. Same karts as Cincinnati. Thy are plenty quick. I got a chance to walk the layouts last month and it looks to be very fun. OMRL banquet is there on the 25th. Cincy pricing is a minimum $10 for 8 minutes. Normally 12-15 for 8 minutes. It's worth it!!
  19. Hard to believe that the AMA is in such a sad state. AMA roadracing today doesn't appear to be with it. But they should plod along. Maybe one day it will be like the 90's again. Doubtful but what do you do? Quit? I really don't follow it and haven't since the early 2000's. I guess there are a lot who have bailed as well.
  20. No hurry to sell, but sometime in the next few months I will be getting a sprinter van.
  21. We are so far ahead of those (or behind depending on perspective). And those countries who everyone would likely trust their reporting it's crazy. Finally the far right and far left are coming to the agreement that we are a prison society and shit needs to change. As for estimating the numbers, I'm pretty sure they rely on more than just the official government reports. The countries I listed all allow foreign media within their borders.
  22. Problem I noticed with external receiver was battery life while Bluetooth connected. Have to have two devices charged. Then add go pro and it seems that it is hard work before the race even starts. Sometimes it is just more fun to just gas and go. But maybe the larger units are easier. I don't know yet. One other thing on HARRY's was starting it with gloves on. Very difficult to take glove off , get it synced with external Bluetooth device, start recording and then glove on. Turn on go pro and hope the race isn't started. I know I'm whining. But something to consider. Easier is with more.
  23. Amazing how people think that we have a justice system who never convicts anyone yet we have the highest % of out population behind bars of ANY country in the world. Yes, more than China, Russia, Iran, etc. Should we put more in jail? Will that solve the problem? I doubt you will see a mandatory helmet law in your lifetime. If it happens, it won't be the worst thing but it will piss me off.
