  1. I did some reading and found a lot of emissions related equipment failures too. Maintenance history would be critical. Thanks for promoting me to investigate.
  2. Damn that sucks as they all have 100k-300k. What else fails and why does the turbo fail so soon? Figured Mercedes engine would be more durable.
  3. I'm hoping for a sprinter van before next spring. Diesel, long and decent highway miles.

    2014 Gap trip

Good place in Robbinsville. Has cabins, motel rooms. Pretty clean overall and dirt cheap. Has fire pits. UP always stays there.
  5. Did she threaten to use a weapon? Did she show a weapon? If neither of those, then you can't reasonable assume she was armed. Did she use the vehicle as a weapon? Or just fleeing? You can't just shoot at people who are trying to get away.
  6. I don't see how shooting at a fleeing vehicle in this case is justified. Rules for the use deadly force don't include unarmed pain in the ass bad mothers running from the cops. This nation has a serious problem with escalating shootings from both civilians and law enforcement. Kids getting shot for holding toy guns. We ran around with bb and toy guns all the time in the 70's and 80's. Getting shot by a real gun for having a toy gun was unthinkable. Not all change is good.
  7. I'm gonna take it racing, do you still feel this way. I've been treated great at Commonwealth so far.
  8. True you haven't because it is very hard to prove intent. The burden should lie with those who are trying to add new laws. Surprising how so many that hate laws and love freedom agree that more laws are the answer here. But let's take a walk and hold hands, maybe we can get to the same finish line together. I would have said ride scooters, but we know that my Honda is faster than your Zuma. Some facts (I can gather links and supporting evidence if you don't think these are facts) Republicans are the ONLY party pushing for Voter ID laws. People and Parties do what's in their self interest. Republicans are claiming that their intentions are noble and are only trying to solve a problem. We all know that Republicans love legislation to solve problems. (BS) Some Republicans have been caught on camera stating that they were going to win elections by preventing Democrats from voting. Those without state issued ID's are likely to be the most disenfranchised members of our society. Those who have unstable employment or housing or poor records will be hurt the most. Voting is a RIGHT. Old white people are the most likely to vote in any election. Low voter turnout = Republican win (almost always). I'm not on either TEAM. I am for the truth. Frankly I can't believe that so many agree that Voter ID is necessary when it is clear that there isn't a problem. So creating legislation that prevents people from voting, or makes it more difficult to vote, to solve a problem that FACTUALLY doesn't exist, smells like corruption and cheating to win elections. Someone earlier in this thread, and many others probably agree, that Obama 'stole' the election, simply because their side didn't win. I agree that most people see this as a team issue. And scientific study shows we believe and justify what our team does and if the other team did exactly the same thing, we would oppose it, but since our team did it, it was okay. That's the true sheep mentality we must all fight. Unfortunately, most people aren't familiar with this bias, and could care less to learn.
  9. This is exactly the problem. One side lists things as facts when they aren't. I'd love to see some real facts that supports the idea that Voter ID prevents a real problem of in person voter fraud. Because I see in person voter fraud as a non issue. Or, it's discussed amongst the Rebulican machine as HUGE problem that must be solved. Let me pose a Hypothetical. Let's say that it would benefit the Democrats by having Voter ID laws. Therefore it is more likely the Democrats would push for legislation requiring them. What would the Republican argument be? You know they would be against it. I think they would say something along the lines of: The CONSTITUTION guarantees everyone the right to vote and it doesn't say shit about having an STATE issued ID to do it. That damn Government is trying to FORCE you to get an ID just to exercise your rights. See, Government is bad. And despite how many people call the Obama voters 'sheep', many feel that whatever the Republican machine spouts, gets absorbed and repeated across the AM airwaves and fills up my FB stream. It's not too difficult to come up with counter arguments and like it has been done in this thread, using False Equivalencies. Abortion and Gun control aren't related enough to discuss them together.
  10. Love helmets. Hate helmet laws. Love seat belts, mixed feelings on the law. I always wear seat belt. Usually wear helmet unless on the scooter.
  11. It is my understanding that classic rebuplican voters are old and white. The two demographics that are changing. These old people will soon die and due to immigration and birthing trends, the white vote is becoming a smaller portion of the electorate. It is also well known that republican candidates are more likely to win when there is lower voter turnout. I think it is entirely plausible, if not down right likely, that voter ID laws pushed by Republicans are meant to suppress the vote. I have already established that in person voter fraud is MINISCULE at best and these laws won't change that. Now, just because the repubs got that wrong, at least initially by stirring up the minority vote, doesn't mean it wasn't their intention. Please argue with facts.
  12. Go back to my earlier post and I specifically say I worry about that. Or I tried to say that.
  13. I'm gonna shorten your list to those cases that in person voter fraud that would be stopped with voter ID laws. 1. Did I miss any? Your listing proves that having data doesn't necessarily prove your point.
  14. A major probe by the Justice Department between 2002 and 2007 failed to prosecute a single person for going to the polls and impersonating an eligible voter, which the anti-fraud laws are supposedly designed to stop. Out of the 300 million votes cast in that period, federal prosecutors convicted only 86 people for voter fraud – and many of the cases involved immigrants and former felons who were simply unaware of their ineligibility. Read more: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/the-gop-war-on-voting-20110830#ixzz2kU4PcwH0 86 / 300,000,000 = MINISCULE.
  15. I think the goal of voter suppression is more long term. It appears that the voter ID laws have stirred up the minority vote. It's likely that the 'rage' will subside. Whether or not it makes a difference long term has yet to be answered. I think most pushing these laws aren't truly trying to stop fraud. They are way to political. If it was known ahead of time that it would cause votes for the other side, they wouldn't have pushed so hard for them. In person voter fraud has been minuscule at best. I worry more about vote counting fraud and electronic vote fraud. The scale and ease of this along with the bigger return on investment. I once audited some vote counting after an election and it amazed me just how ignorant the county workers were in general and how they relied on contractors and 3rd party firms to do almost everything. I presume my county is not alone in this regard.
  16. Wilson circuit is :03 - :06 for fast bikes. Little bikes are :11's and up I believe.
  17. I don't the official price has been announced. USA price is usually cheaper than Europe price. Regardless, I won't be buying at 70K or 100K. I do have a $100 at my local Honda dealer for a yet to be announced V4 super bike. I still hope it's $20K.
  18. Rumor to be releasing a high end V4 but cost $70000! I was hoping for $20K
  19. I deep fry for 8-10 min then dip. Bake at 350F for 15 min and they are best wings for me anywhere. I use red hot brand sauce. Not the wing specific sauce. Mix with melted butter. Literally the best ever by my standards.
  20. Never did. Wish I would have. I didn't strip anything except front and rear light fixtures.
  21. It's expensive. Go with a place that does them all the time. Where are you located?
  22. I weighed mine at CRP. Circleville Raceway Park. I weighed 201 in gear. Subtracted that from the weight of me standing next to the bike. Scrubbed in some new slicks and tested that the bike would run and everything would function after converting to race bodywork. A shake down so to speak.
