Yeah on the someone should have known the prison was there. The shop I use has always stated it the other way, percent of light blocked. Limo tint on my work van was 95%. But yeah, the slight difference from the rears to the front doors must be enough that I've never been harassed for them being too dark.

Man, I went down this path about a decade ago. I wanted something I could hit the slab for 4-6 hours after work on Friday to get to the mountains, spend the day Saturday exploring the forest service roads and trails, then hit the twisty two lanes for a full day getting home on Sunday. Here's how my journey went. DRZ400S. Great on Saturday, Friday was miserable, Sunday, not any better. Sold it for a- BMW GS. Worst bike I ever owned! I could not get rid of the horrible turbulence on my helmet, certainly couldn't ride it on anything beyond easy gravel roads, and felt like I was piloting a barge on the back roads. Sold it for a-- DR650. Friday and Sunday were better than the DRZ, but Saturday was worse. Sold it for a- XR650R. holy hell, what a beast. No idea why I though a street tagged XR was a good idea. Sold it for a- DR650. This one was fully decked out for a round the world type adventure. Didn't help. Not much of an improvement over the stock one I had. Sold it for a- Cagiva Gran Canyon. Finally! This was the perfect bike! Seriously, it did everything I wanted in a bike. But, I found myself riding more and more challenging stuff on Saturdays. Till one day I was riding by myself in W.Va, and had one of those 'ah crap' events where I was expecting a cross road about a mile in on a forest service road, and there wasn't one there. There was no way I could go back up the "road" I came down, and I was uncertain what I was getting in to by keeping going down the mountain. I really had no choice but to continue, and thankfully, found my way out without much worse than some serious clutch abuse. I then realized the folly of my loner riding ways and decided as a maturing, responsible family man, I had to knock that crap off. So, I sold it for a- Vstrom. Pretty good all around, Saturday was really limited, which I wanted but the bike was too much japanese car like to me. It didn't do anything wrong, it was just boring to me. Sold it for a- Nothing. I went a few years without a daily rider bike (I've always had my ducati in the garage as well) until last year when i bought the Uly thinking I would start getting back in to it some. It hasn't worked out that way, so it's for sale now as well. Now, what was the question? I'd say if that's what you really want to do, go for the KTM. It was on my list to replace the 'strom, but I was fully aware I would end up in the same situation I was in with the gran canyon if I bought it. I realized that I'd rather have a bike that makes me stop before I get too far in and find myself doing something stupid, so that's why I went with the Uly. It would be a great Friday/Sunday bike, and Saturdays would have to stay on the boring side, which is probably in my best interest anyway. The strom works perfectly in this capacity as well, but like I said, it just felt boring to me, and I don't ride bikes unless I like them. My next move? Sell the Uly and get a track bike, and/or a 250 dual sport. Truck/trailer to somewhere fun to ride for a day with other people instead of continuing my loner ways. At this point, my boy is only a few years away from riding with me on trips like this. I've got to start getting the ball rolling in that direction soon.

Because that's what sells? You can still buy a very basic, stripped down wrangler for not a lot of cash. You won't find many on dealer lots that way as the majority of the buyers are posers(yep) who just want the image of them, but don't want to give up all the luxuries. But, you can get them without power anything, half doors, soft top only, and I think even air conditioning is optional on the very base model. Ours is our second vehicle, and I want to replace it with something else. Everything you said is true. The wife has been using it for her daily driver for the last month waiting on me to sell her van and buy a new econobox daily driver, which I did today. How she dealt with it as a daily is beyond me. And you want complete lunacy? Even with what I just admitted, once this one sells and we buy a more practical second vehicle, it's going to be replaced with a new four door wrangler rubicon as our third.

Sold! Less than 24 hours on Craig's list. I had three interested buyers, one of which wanted to drive down from Lima. Sold to the first guy to come see it for 5k, which was his first offer. Yes, I'm as surprised as anyone, but it makes my buying a new car today much easier.

Believe me, I didn't expect it to be worth squat. I honestly was looking at donating it to goodwill and just taking the tax write off. But, the first dealer I went to asked me if I was trading it in, and I said, sure, give me a number on it and he came back with $4k. That was kelly blue book, rough trade including a nearly $3k deducion for high mileage. :pSecond dealer did something similar. When I said I would like to trade it in, and I was hoping to get $4k blue book trade in for it, he said they use edmunds, not kelly. He spent a few minutes typing on the computer and came up with $2250 for trade. I thought that seemed so different from the other number, while he went in back to "work the numbers with his boss", I did an edmunds quote on my phone. It came back at $4770. When he came back, I questioned it, and he showed me where he worked it up. He had it entered as an 04 ex, not an 05 ex-l res. He corrected it, and saw the $4770 number and said he'd change it on the paperwork. Now, I realize dealers have about 50 different ways they can try to slide money back in to the deal on the back side, so realize there's a good chance when it comes time to do the final paperwork, there's going to be some extra numbers in there that are to offset the trade in offers, so that's why I'd rather sell it outright and not have to argue with them later. All three online valuation sites I ran the numbers through had it as $3700-$4700 trade in with the mileage and condition figured in. Hell, clean trade in for normal miles is almost $9k. If someone doesn't mind having a car that will need some work every few months, and can do it themselves, it could be a great car for them. If it doesn't sell, fine. I'll let the dealer have it. If the dealer ends up with some funky numbers and it's because of the trade, I'll pull it out and do a deal with no trade, then donate it like I had figured from the start. Whatever way it goes, it's served it's purpose for us.

Model- 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L(leather) RES(rear entertainment system) The Good: One owner Dealer maintained per honda recommended schedule - all records Never wrecked Everything works, all power doors, windows, sunroof, stereo, dvd player, heated seats, etc. good quality tires, still have decent tread left to them. Price! The Bad: high miles - 242,000 burns oil - you occasionally see a puff of smoke on acceleration. This started around 180,000 miles. Burns approx. 1 quart every 1250 miles. currently has check engine light on - code pulled was P2647 has occasional "thud" when shifting from drive to reverse - typical of when a motor mount is failing(which happened around 80k, and 160k miles, so falls in to the pattern) cracked windshield(which seems to be the norm on all cars anymore) Picture from the day we bought it- Current pictures- The time has come to sell the beloved family truckster. It has served us well, but it started running rough and kicked on the check engine light last month. Just under $1000 for a new catalytic converter and an injector(or a couple?) later, it was back in action. Then two weeks ago, it kicked the light on again. This time they are saying it's a sticking vtec oil pressure switch, and want $400 to fix it. I found the part online for $88, and instructions to change it. Supposedly an easy 1.5 hour job. But, I bang my knuckles turning wrenches all day long, I sure don't want to do it when I get home. At this point, the wife is ready to go ahead and get something new again, so it's time for this to go. Condition is as expected for a van that has lived the typical minivan life of hauling me, the wife, our 2.5 kids and 2 dogs all over the place. It's dirty inside. Not creepy hoarder, garbage up to the ceiling dirty, but kids getting in straight from football/baseball/soccer without worrying about mud, family eating drive thru meals while on the way to the lake on a Friday night, crap I dropped my hamburger type dirty. I'll bet a good detailing would make it look pretty darn good, but I sure as heck ain't doing it. Exterior wise, it's got it's scrapes and bumps expected on a vehicle with nearly a quarter million miles, but nothing significant. I'll run it through a car wash before I take pictures. I'll even splurge for the colored soap. If you're a single mother with three kids who needs a reliable van, and would have to take it in to the dealer for every little issue that comes up, please, look elsewhere. This would be ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, and doesn't mind working on their own stuff. Price - $5500 Please, no low ball offers. That's only a few hundred dollars over my net trade in value(dealer offer price + tax savings). That's the exact reason this one is being sold. Don't let anyone try to convince you otherwise, you need the four door if kids are in the equation. I'll be buying an unlimited Rubicon as soon as this one is sold, or I find a dealer who will get me the one I want and not bend me over on the trade. But, I've also got a van identical to yours only with double the miles I'm looking to replace at the same time. I'm not sure what way to go on its replacement yet.
