No, last week was the time to buy an AR. Unless you have a great connection who can find you something still in stock and sell it for only a slightly inflated price, you are just going to get royally screwed. I'm sitting here now in nervous anticipation of if my order for additional mags went through last Friday. They said 2-4 days to pull and ship. I was really hoping to get a tracking number today.

Yep. It started nearly 100 years ago, and the water is getting warmer. They'll push for an all out ban on assault rifles and semi auto pistols, and both sides will claim victory when we end up just losing hi cap mags. Then this will happen again, but the guy will have to reload three times as many times, so it takes an extra 20 seconds to accomplish the same thing. Then, they'll turn the heat up another notch. It may take another 100 years, but they'll end up with guns being illegal.

I'm expecting no gun control, but magazine limits implemented. Of course, the 18 bazillion mags currently out there means it won't do a single thing. Then the next time a whacko does something similar, they will have to take it up a notch and implement bullet buttons, or once again go after the guns themselves.

I have a leupold that was sent to premier for a custom ffp mod years ago that is incredibly nice. I would recommend both leupold, or premier just on my experiences with both of those companies. I was going to sell it as I sold the gun it was on a few years ago, but instead, I ordered a new rifle this week.

How are your eyes? My vision is perfect, and I didn't even know I had a slight astigmatism until I bought my first red dot. The red dot looked like a starburst. I thought it was because I was cheap and got the vortex, so I sold that and upgraded to an aimpoint. It's better, but still not ideal. I got a look through a friends eotech the other day, and didn't even think of the clarity of the sight picture for me until afterwards, so I'm thinking it must have been significantly better. I told him to bring it back over next time we go shooting so I can compare it side by side to mine. If it is better, I'm selling my aimpoint, and buying two of those as I have a second ar on the way. If not, I'll see about other options.

Anybody already done the pricing research on these? on the website they have a combo package that has a 20 inch smooth bore hd barrel, and a 28 inch interchangeable choke barrel.that combo with synthetic stock is what I want, but I wonder if is cheaper to buy it that way, or buy the parts separately.

That's what my initial plan was. But, at $200 a stamp on top of the cost of each suppressor, I'm at least going to start off the same way he is for my center fires. I won't dirty it up with .22 as I already have a can for that, but the one I counted on buying this winter for 5.56 will be bigger instead. Good timing on the thread. For over 50 years, and three generations it has been tradition for my family to work the bar at my gun clubs monthly meetings. Nothing complicated, just draft beer, and a very limited number of people attend the meetings. All are either members of the club, or guests, so it's not like there's complete strangers walking in off the street just to drink. But, two years ago, the clubs legal counsel decided it was in the clubs best interest to have us go to some bar-tending class and get a piece of paper saying we had training to be bartenders. The more I looked in to it, this is exactly what they were looking at, the legal ramifications of someone leaving there and turning around and suing the club. They were looking to cover their ass, and I figured by having us "trained", it was taking the liability off of them, and putting it on us serving. I decided it isn't worth sticking my neck out there and stopped working the bar. What a crappy direction society has decided to go.

It's not that easy. The guns that are the current must have guns for the panic buyers won't be the same ones in four years or whenever the cycle repeats. The manufacturers and gun dealers make sure of that. Even something as basic as an AR-15 that was considered a top notch model five years ago won't be worth more than you paid for it since everyone comes out with new latest and greatest models all the time.
