So change your withholdings to keep getting the same, and after they rollback the taxes, it will all work out when you do your taxes at the end if the year.

Right here. There is no way any AWB could pass on it's own. It has to be included in with something else, or it will just get shot down, no matter how little it tried to do. I think this is why they(meaning both parties) refuse to even start negotiating on the fiscal cliff. They will not reach an agreement before the end of the year. We'll go "over the cliff" which really means jack shit for most of us until tax time for 2013. That means they have all year to come up with a bill that brings us back up from the cliff jump by making the tax breaks that disappear at the first of the year retroactive and go back to where they are now, and institutes a new AWB. It conveniently provides a huge excuse for the R's who "had" to vote for it to protect the tax breaks we "all"(meaning the top 1%)need, and also gives the D's an excuse for accepting those tax breaks they had to let stay to get the AWB. They both get what they want, more power and money for the DC elite, less rights for the masses. The whole two party system is a dog and pony show. It's no more real than reality television. Now where did I put my tin foil hat.....

That's how my other Ar is set up, Aimpoint in a Larue mount so the troys give a lower 1/3 co-witness. To be honest, this one is intended to be set up the same way, but I had the bipod and scope setups sitting in the safe already, so threw them on here for now. They are intended for the .308 I count on having built this year.

Both my Ar's wear Troy Industries, standard black rear, tritium night sights on the front.

I bought my wife five guns when she was looking at what she wanted for CCW. She would shoot a friends, or go to the store and handle them, decide she liked it, then after putting more rounds through it, decide she wanted something else. Of course, what did she end up with? She decided she actually did like my XDM I tried to start her on, and wanted one for herself.

Well, what have you found? I might have gone a bit over budget buying ar stuff this month, and still want to find an AR-10 lower if I can get one without paying too much just to have one, but I still want to order my multi caliber can in January.

Low quality photos make telling distinct features impossible. But, it's not the same dress.

Yep. A case of really really poor journalism. It started as two handguns used, an Ar in the trunk. Then became four handguns and an Ar in the truck, to four guns involved, with two handguns and an Ar found in the school, and a shotgun in the trunk. A believeable progression from first reports to real facts, but proper journalism would have waited to confirm what they were reporting. The media doesn't believe in that any more, they just want to be first.

And this is why the NRA should start working towards eliminating any kind of record keeping requirements for gun ownership. Apples and oranges? Really? I can't think of one reason whatsoever to justify a bike like the hayabusa being for sale and legal to use on public roads. That bike does absolutely nothing well except break laws. I can guarantee you, more laws are broken by hayabusa riders every time they use their hayabusa than laws are broken by gun owners every time they use their gun. And, I'll go out on a limb and say there are more accidental deaths caused by hayabusas than guns on a per capita basis.

Dammit. First snow plowing of the year. I got to skip it all together last year. I liked that much more better. To really piss me off, I was trying to sleep in, enjoying my first day of vacation. The stupid answering service at work didn't get the message and kept calling my cell phone for service calls.

How about a summary of what I'm supposed to read there? I get a stupid block up I can't get to go away.

Who before you mentioned anything about automobiles in this thread? Oh wait, you just wanted to stir the pot and deflect the issue being discussed.
-
This is what I think as well. The current CCW training is a joke. There should be a further level of CCW permit, which requires continuous training and qualifying the shooting part semi annually.
-
I feel for the folks listed, but it is giving the NRA another perfect reason as to why all guns shouldn't be registered. Why is this public record? This will be brought up many times in the violation of gun owners rights debates to come.

Is the run on AR's already over? I had someone offer me one in trade on a scope for sale today. I'm asking $1K for the scope. I thought anything remotely close to an AR was selling for over that now? With prices for the AR on a roller coaster, I don't know if I should trade him or not.

This is over my limit for what we can shoot in the back yard. We'll have to go the the inlaws and get it properly sighted in. Even though he's only 11, he's been shooting for years at this point, and this will make his sixth gun. He just recently moved up from .22s, and as I expected, he's a darn good shot. Here's his first experience with the 5.56. 50 yards, iron sights.

Finished throwing stuff on the boys present. Now I have to figure out how to wrap it.

Wow. I was mad I had to pay over $10 for each of mine. No way in hell I would pay $30. At the range last weekend, we had three guns that had capacity of 10+ rounds, yet none of them ever got loaded with more than 10 at a time, so I don't see the need to panic buy them just because. Ah, work kept me busy all week. Even though I drove by it a handful of times, I never had the free time to stop. I'll wait till next year and hope things calm down. No kidding? I may have to go list some.

Lots out there advertised for a ridiculous price, but are they really selling? Looks to me the threshold is about $30. The ones advertised higher than that, the ads remain with no replies. For the record, I think they're crazy to pay that for them. I saw a larue OBR that sold for about $3k new advertised for $7500, and just about any daniel defense is being listed at over $2k. I like my stuff, but if things are really selling at these prices, I'll cut loose my pmag stash, ammo, and a few guns.

I thought the NRA screwed up trying to pin the blame on movies, music and video games. The blame game is a tactic of the other side. He should have stuck to what can we do about it. I only partially agree with the cops in schools plan, I'd rather see it not come to that, but at least it's a proposal that would actually do something unlike the knee jerk ban everything crap from the other side. That said, I have never been a member of the NRA, but I think I'll be joining along with signing the wife up here in the next few days. If I stay a member, or if it's a one time deal depends on if it's possible to be a member and not get bombarded with their give more more more! crap I hear they are so bad about sending out. I'm also going to get tickets to the friends of the NRA banquet at my gun club in Feb.
-
I told myself everything I bought was because I wanted it for myself. But, if people are really crazy enough to be paying upwards of $75 for a single pmag, I'm tempted to throw mine up for sale for $50 each. I certainly don't need them that bad.

I'm just trying to help him as well. Me personally? I would take that DPMS, leave it in the safe and next year, when all this dies down one way or another, Get it to a good gunsmith to go over it and fix all the stuff that typically plagues them from the factory. I'd also join some of the better gun forums and spend some time reading up on them. snipershide, and M4carbine.net will keep him busy for most of the winter.

No, they don't line up OK. It's not going to work. :facepalm Go to the magpul site and read the info on it. Hell, here:

Point blank stocks DD rifles? Hell, now I do have to stop out there some time.
