  1. Alright f*ker. I just hurt myself from laughing so hard. I'll get you back for that. Just ride behind me during the next ride. .
  2. >> This is the most divided I have ever felt the county has been during my lifetime. >> ....his actions don't seem to indicate that he really knows how to gain any bipartisan support. >> The country is very fragmented politically right now, and neither side of the aisle appears to have anyone cabable of closing the divide. It's called Divide and Conquer by gaining and maintaining power by breaking up larger concentrations of power into chunks that individually have less power than the one implementing the strategy. The concept refers to a strategy that breaks up existing power structures and prevents smaller power groups from linking up. >> Dear Leader is deliberately trying to divide the country... You're darn right, he is. And he's getting lots of help from the news media by their biased reporting and slanting of reality. >> ...people are seeing him for what he is - a community organizer with no political skills whatsoever. He will go down in history as the Great Divider. That will be his legacy. >> Congress has very much stopped being a voice for their constituants, and never been more self-serving than now. They see that they can grab benefits for themselves until closer to election time where they will once again pretend to align themselves with the will of the people and distance themselves from the undesirables for the purpose of preserving votes for themselves. I'm beginning to think this is the only way to drill into their heads that "we the people" put them in office to represent OUR interests and they have a limited time to do just that and then they are out, period. They are the spokesmen for US. They represent US. When they fail to do that, heads need to roll. They should fear us. We should never fear the government because the government is supposed to be US. They seem to distance themselves from US until they want a vote and then it's business as usual. It's way past time for this to end. We need a way to keep the more populated coastal areas and high concentrations of "entitlement minded" groups in large cities from speaking for states closer to the center of the country, with totally different concerns. They have less of a chance to get elected and the media makes it that way by suppressing their voice but giving biased coverage to ones they favor. Given that the media is the eyes and ears for the bulk of America, not to mention, the "shapers" of public opinion, I think that as a people, we need to start demanding responsible and unbiased reporting with accuracy and fact, and with no hidden agenda coloring the news. And by boycotting their sponsors and protesting at their studios, pressure can be put on them to accurately present to us the events of the day. Even if you are in touch with what the facts are, your neighbor, with equal voting power as you, may not be, and you want his information to be equally as accurate as your own so he can make an intelligent and informed decision come election day and not just accept the crap we see today on the TV. >> ...Ive always felt that the less that got done in Washington the better. Those who govern least, govern best. Agreed. I just prefer Jenifer Aniston. Okay, I'm done. Back to our regularly scheduled programming... . ..
  3. And Karl, just to reinforce your determination to attend this year's ride, I'll refer you to a small comment from last year, to wit: "next time damn it I Will be there and no boss is going to revoke my vacation time!" (emphasis added just for fun) .
  4. ^^^ The above refers to the endless opportunities to do some farming on the way to Hocking Hills for anyone who would like to add some farm implements to their motorcycle so they get some plowing done in time for planting. In reference to some post ride commentary from last year: "I thought we were going right and we went left instead and I couldn't reposition in time so I split the difference in the pasture lol" (name withheld out of respect). .
  5. It's worth it to do as the Aussies do if there is no other way to get off work, but you have so many days you are allowed off for illness. They call it "Chucking a sickie." So, chuck a sickie and enjoy the day. .
  6. Funny to watch. http://youtu.be/791Dr-VH-Zw
  7. This is probably not how your club should start out.
  8. Poor guy went to bed for a pleasant night's sleep and woke up in hell. .
  9. That's just like rubbing salt in a fresh case of road rash. .
  10. An Advanced Rider Course is what I was interested in but fat chance that one will be offered at a time that I can attend. .
  11. I might like to take that ride too, Doc. Keep me posted? .
  12. I think I know where I'll make my first track day, based on what some very well respected riders have presented here before us. Thanks guys. It's amazing how much can be learned just by listening to those with personal experience. I would never have known where to begin without your input. .
  13. I'll pencil in May 4th & 5th. I'll most likely ride down both days from Newark. If anyone wants to ride down with me on either day, that would be fine. .

    Pig Cop

And if another cop pulled up, it could have gotten ugly quickly. One is enough to deal with and I try hard to avoid that because they are usually going to claim to be right even when they are not. This one had an attitude that we don't need. .
  15. I think I mentioned that... ...so don't think I would do that. However, it wouldn't be a bad idea if a car was a little too close behind and you wanted to mist their windshield a little in hopes that they would back off. Let's say you are buzzing down the freeway and the only reason you have to stop is because you have to go. It could take you ten minutes to exit, get through traffic, and get into a restroom, five minutes to get your "part" out of, and back into your riding gear, and another ten minutes to get back on the freeway. It could be 1/2 hour before you are back to cruising speed, all for just having to relieve your bladder. At 80 mph, you could be another 40 miles down the road in 1/2 hour. With this item, you could pull to the side, relieve the pressure, and be back up to speed in minutes. I see there is some interest. Here's a repeat of what one guy said: And here are some words from our very own: And as for this... ...a....um....just what is that signal? Do I point at the ground and shake my arm like crazy or what? .
  16. Watch for a GSXR 750 also. Guy at work bought it from his cousin. He's never ridden a bike before. He's taking the MSF BRC in April. He's never been one to listen to people trying to help him to learn things he needs to know on the job. I suspect his listening skills have not changed much. .
  17. Off to Hocking Hills? Need a place to sleep? No worries! http://www.americanrvcompany.com/Vintage-Camper-of-the-Week--Vintage-Motorcycle-Camper_b_53.html .
  18. Well, I wouldn't want to put a mist in the air that trailing riders would ride through. Well, not for most of you. Others? Well.... .
  19. That's not what I had in mind. Ouch! I think most missed the point of this post. Thanks for the feedback. I expected some jokes but...I thought this sounded like a good idea when you couldn't take the time, or didn't want to stop, to do your business. One quick stop without having to dismount, trickle trickle onto the ground, and zoom zoom. I'm thinking that when you are wrapped up in cold weather gear, without having to get through three layers, this may be quite a convenience. .
  20. :nono: To make things worse, bmwnut was reluctant to stop for a piss break even then. I think some of the others suggested that they also had a need. I did mention two cups of coffee, didn't I? And I went just before we left the starting point. .
  21. But then you have to stop and pee more often. I may have a solution. http://www.ohioriders.net/showthread.php?p=964530#post964530 Have any of you thought of this? .
