  1. You may with to make 220VAC available for an air compressor,

either for yourself or as a selling feature for a potential buyer

    sometime in the future.

Plenty of outlets around a workbench area is never a bad idea.

How about that overhead lighting?  Many garages are severely

underlighted when the door is closed.  Can you see as well as

    you wish you could?

Don't overlook the area directly above the

garage door, when it is open.  With the door closed, that whole

ceiling area is available to cast light upon some of your darkest,

shadowy places.  Vehicles parked in a garage block a lot of light

by shadowing areas you may wish were better lighted.

  2. Bumping this in the event someone has a $3-3500 bike and wants

to trade me it plus $3-3500 cash too. Likely only interested in trading

and not an out right sale but money talks

    I have a lightly scuffed 2008 GS 500F with 7xxx miles, and $2500.

It is a fully faired bike.  I'll give you the matching soft saddle bags,

tank bag, and trunk bag as well.  I have new mirrors and bar ends

for it.  I put new Avon tires on it back in the summer and had it

fully serviced through Iron Pony.  The only thing I know that it needs

is a new bulb for the blinker indicator.  Other than some scuffs from

my spill on the 555, it's in pretty good shape.

Just offering, though I really doubt it's anything you would be

interested in.  But the VFR would be a nice upgrade for me.

  3. If you can get an offer of $6000 for it still, that's over the average retail

NADA value by almost $500 and way over for one in excellent condition

from a dealer, according to the KBB.  Those are the figures for the

    44147 zip code.

Hopefully someone will come along and want it enough.

    • There are 90 degree turns just over the rise, that sneak up on you, almost before you can react.
    • There is a coating of dusty grit that you don't see until you are right up on it.
    • it's a good ride if you are taking it easy, but not so much it you want a more spirited pace.
    • Ride it the first time, keeping the above in mind.

This feller hit the main points of 555

I forgot to mention that on sunny summer Sundays

the road is full of road-clogging Harleys riding two up.

  5. Could be his day job has him working a lot too....

Alan is good people, he will take care of it.

No worries.  I really don't need the stickers right now.

The duct tape and wire ties are still holding the bike

together just fine.  I primarily wanted them for the

added horsepower.  Maybe they will make it run like

    a triple.

  6. I did send a PM, late Jan 29

I would understand if I was just getting freebies, but I did order one that cost. My entire order was like $7, so it's not that big of a deal, but something just strikes a nerve when I can't get a response. I'm going to wait until the order is 30 days old, then my patience might run out.

I'm going to tell myself that it's burdensome to fire up the

equipment to make very small batches of decals and that

it's much easier to make them when a sufficient number

of orders have accumilated so that they can be produced

    all in one easy stroke.

Yes, that's it.  That's what I'm going to tell myself.

  7. It would seem you are not the only one. For "free" products, I don't expect world class service or a quick turn but some communication within a months time is not asking for much.

I ordered mine on January 11th along with a "look twice for bikes" sticker. I sent contact requests on the decal website, and PM'd here. No response. Order still says awaiting fulfillment. I know it's not alot of money, but heck a response would be nice.

Yesterday made three weeks since my order.

I just logged in to ABDecal.com.

    Here's what I still have:

    Order #6598

    Order Date: 12th Jan 2015

This order is marked as Awaiting Fulfillment

    Your Order Contains: 8 x OhioRiders.net Decal

    (Color: White)

He must be very busy and squeezes in these "freebies"

as he can.  I'll give it another week and then PM him.

  9. Did you know.......?

If you have a motorcycle endorsement on your current out

of state license,  you can get that out-of-state motorcycle

endorsement transferred to your new Ohio license.

Out-of-state endorsements may be transferred to your new Ohio driver’s

license by completing the motorcycle temporary permit (TIPIC) exam.

Here is the link to find out more information on the TIPIC exam: www.bmv.ohio.gov/

  12.

Those are exactly some of the roads I've been wanting to ride.  It would have

to be an overnighter for me to sqeeze in all that awesome riding.

That's going to be at least six hours of riding from end to end.  If we ever

do a two day ride on this route, I will try and get in on it. It's this area of the

state that has me wishing for some camping gear.

These roads also appear to be rather advanced for some of the riders that

our rides tend to attract.  The lesser skilled and newer riders may find themselves

a bit over their heads in less time than they can react to something that requires

    a reflexive action.

    .

  13. Any dates to add?

I have no particular dates in mind.

I think it was colder the year of the dream ride, we had a huge turn out for a cancelled ride :).

The October 2012 Dream ride out of Newark had a temperature of 53° F at the start.

I think there were around 38 bikes on that ride.  This was the cancelled  ride, due to

    a rainy morning.

Last spring it was 48° F in Newark when it was time for me to head to the meet

point.  That's why I stayed home.

Part of the enjoyment of the ride is to and from the meet up spot.  Even though

it's only an hour's ride from home to Logan, I still want to be comfortable getting

    there and back.

I know for the guys who race June is usually out. Late may is graduation for a lot of people too

, and early June is the Dragon. We are kind of limited depending on who wants to ride, but thats

why we have a fall ride too, right?

I wouldn't mind a different route, but I don't want to be the one to map it out.

If you want to go back and look at the after ride comments from past rides,

you can find them at the following links.  I think it's a good idea to see what

was suggested, to improve future rides, since this is now the future.
