  3. I looked through gobs of images for that chock. I'm glad it finally surfaced.   4. That was an interesting read. I didn't know Amish teens did those things against their upbringing. I would have thought that they were more inclined to avoid those kinds of activities. I also viewed Amish girls as being pure as the driven snow until they were married. Guess it's not as I thought after all. How long does a community allow a young person to practice Rumspringa before they are shunned? The story suggests that some in their twenties are still not members of the church. How does the community treat them? Could one go off and return years later, and then go back to Amish life? . .
  5. I'm guessing that 30 psi running pressure means that the pump is running at that point. That sounds very good. I'm also guessing that there is a check valve (back flow preventer) between the the pump and the tank. It could be leaky and allowing you to lose pressure in the system. It should also cause your pump to kick on more often than necessary in order to keep the system pressurized. That's my 2¢ worth, today for free. .

  8. I just walked into the house. Made a stop at Buckeye Lake to watch the boats being put into and taken out of the water. The wind made it difficult to load a boat, so I helped a few people. Also, I stopped at the Jacktown Pub for a rib dinner. If you go there, don't get the ribs. They were delivered cold and I had to send them back. The bike is fueled up and SeaFoam has been added to the tank. I also lubed up the chain for the winter. It's ready to go when spring gets here, or it's ready now for another nice riding day. It was good to ride with you again, Dave. That Muskie Bucket was interesting. Maybe one time we can actually make it to the other side of Marietta for some new twisty roads. . .

  11. That looks like a good plan. I'm leaving Newark at 9:00. I should be in Logan by 10:00. For anyone else wishing they could join in, it looks like the perfect day to call off sick. This may be the last nice riding day of the year and if you miss it, you will feel sick for sure. .

  14. Working weekends means it's hard to make a weekend ride. But I have Monday off and Monday's forecast is looking pretty good to ride through southeast Ohio. Can you make it? We can meet in Logan, Ohio and ride the Epic Ride route. This is a great chance for anyone who couldn't make the spring or fall rides due to having to work weekends. I'd like to leave early enough to squeeze in a trip to the Big Muskie Bucket, about 10 miles past McConnelsville. Kickstands up: 10 am unless someone chimes in and makes a request.   19. Hey, I don't know you. But, I'm beginning to wish I did. Flying has always been fascinating to me and I admire you for it. It's something that I never had the $$$'s to get into, and I understand it's very costly to practice general aviation on your own dime. One day we'll meet, and you can tell me some flying stories, like when you were afraid or worried you were not going to get a plane back on the ground without breaking it. .
  20. I bought a hi-vis rain jacket, because if it is raining hard enough that I need to wear it, other vehicles may have difficulty seeing me through the all the water on their windows. Other than that, I'm not a high-vis fan just for everday riding. It's not my thing. .
