  1. And the taller the truck, the more they hog the left lane. Then there are those who cruise the left lane and only speed up when you move into the right lane and try to get around them. They catch up to the vehicle ahead of you that's in your lane and then slow back down so you can't get around them. We really need a law to encourage drivers to move to the right when approached from behind by faster traffic. If it takes them more than 30 seconds to pass a vehicle, they have no business in the left lane when faster traffic is behind them. .
  2. Other than 513 manufactured from September 2012 through March 2013 for the fuel tank, and 416 which were built from June 1, 2012 through Feb. 28, 2013 for the center stand, what else have you heard on these new 1200's? .
  3. I was just passing by when I thought I heard my name. It's a nice looking SV. Only 500 miles is both good, and not so good. A bike needs to be ridden to stay in riding condition. Friends with mechanical experience and riding skills have mentioned they would prefer a ridden bike with miles, as opposed to one aged but hardly ridden. I like the looks of the SV, but it leans me quite a bit forward. Higher bars would appeal to me. Money is scarce for now. My car is costing me many U.S. dollars for repairs, lately. My motorcycle is still going strong. I might as well repair my bank account and ride what I have for a while longer. Thanks for the thoughts, Josh. .
  4. I posted above, about this bike. I just noticed it listed on Craigslist, and still at the Pony. http://dayton.craigslist.org/mcd/4661476473.html It's in Westerville, not Dayton, as it seems in the link. .
  5. Look at the Triumph Trophy. It's a 1200. I really like that bike. Iron Pony has a used one that I've drooled all over.
  6. That looks like one of them there cratch rackets. Nice ride. I like it. .
  7. The Aztec did not. I thought it was butt ugly. The Rendevous was another animal. I thought it could be comfortable, good for hauling people and things, and go well on slippery roads if it had AWD. I test drove one once and didn't have a problem with it. What was really wrong with them, because I haven't read up on them? .
  8. These always appealed to me. The Buick Rendezvous and its corporate cousin the Pontiac Aztek were GM's entry into the cross over SUV segment. As a four-door crossover with a front engine and four-wheel drive, the Rendezvous featured a four-speed automatic transmission with a V-6 engine. The SUV used the same platform as GM's short version minivan, Pontiac Montana, Buick Terraza, Chevrolet Venture, Chevrolet Uplander, and Saturn Relay. The Rendezvous boasted the ability to carry seven passengers when equipped with a third-row bench, a class-leading feature that Buick brought to market before its competitors. The Rendezvous is able to carry within its interior the proverbial 4'x 8' sheet of plywood. I didn't have time to read the entire thread, in case they were mentioned already. They were made thru '07. They all didn't come with AWD, so you may need to search a little for one. 9. For less than $15k, you may find one of these lightly used. They are AWD all the time, and are simply a modified Outback. I think they made them up through "06. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru_Baja .
  10. I would pay off a friend's house and buy a bike comfortable for two to travel the country. .
  11. Fixed for no fee, haha!: http://m.bizjournals.com/portland/print-edition/2013/11/15/goodwill-ceos-salary-rises-again.html?r=full .
  12. The legal system has become so bad that by simply asking your buddy if he wants to go riding with you, you are almost taking full responsibility for his safety. There are always those looking for a way to get some money from others by going to court, and always some lawyer willing to help them so that he can get a piece of the pie. .
  13. At top right of page: C-bus V (click and drop the menu down) > My Settings > (Left Margin) Notification Options > Topics and Posts ( I believe it's in here) .
  14. You simply call and state that effective on such and such a date you are terminated as a supplier. I am the boss. This is how it is going to be. Then you stop sending them money. You document who you talked to, date and time. Boom! You are covered, they are fucked. .
  15. Can we just start it up and see how the heater works, or how it purrs when revved up?
  16. That sound. That sickening sound of your bike hitting the asphalt, you will never forget that. And that sight. That sight of your bike laying on it's side on the ground, you will remember that too. It helps to keep these things in mind. It helps to make us more cautious. .
  17. That doesn't even give a bird a chance to get out of your way. Wanna hit a bird at that speed? Not me, brother. .
  18. And my VHS recorder no longer blinks 12:00 - 12:00 - 12:00, so you can pencil me onto the list if you think that's a plus. .
  19. Never criticize a man until you've walked a mile in his moccasins. No one really knows the demons we each personally fight inside of our own heads. .
  20. Thanks Derek. We talked about your helmet at your shop, one day when you were on your way out. You being pleased with it is what made me want to have a closer look at it, myself. I'm currently wearing an HJC CL-16. As a first helmet, I have no complaints about it. Eventually it will be time to replace it and I tend to upgrade when I have to replace things. My idea of an upgrade includes more air flow on warm days and less wind noise while riding. I know the two are often opposing features, but hopefully designers have worked this out. I also require a SNELL approved helmet, as their testing insures a quality far beyond what I trust in DOT only helmets due to the DOT allowing companies to test their own helmets, and not conducting follow up testing. To me, that's like allowing the fox to guard the hen house. The Shoei RF-1200 is at the very top of my list of helmets to consider. I find that the medium size fits me perfectly. Anyone else have experience with one? Give me your feedback here, if you do. . .
  21. I'm always looking for my next gloves, boots, bike, and also, helmet. Do you have one of these? Shoei RF-1200. I would like to know how you like it and if it's better than your previous helmet. Noise rating? Air flow? Comfort? Feedback. Gimme feedback. Big thanks. .
  22. I believe you can get a motorcycle only license in Ohio. But, not if you already have a driver's license. Then you get a motorcycle endorsement added to your driver's license. I don't think you have a choice in that. There is no second knowledge test. That's a one time thing for motorcycle. As for the skills test, do as has been suggested already. Take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's Beginning Riders Course, the BRC. It cost you $50 US if you take it through the state. Dealers will charge $200 or more. The $150 that you save can be spent towards proper riding gear which you need to have to keep your skin on your body if you go sliding on your belly down the roadway. Here. Click it. Read it. And don't text and ride. http://www.motorcycle.ohio.gov/

  24. It seems that there is plenty of room for "walk-ins" at the last minute. Don't they register and pay on site, providing there are enough seats left? .
