  1. 7000 miles of mobil 1 on a sport-touring bike.
  2. I also have the Sena SMH10 and love it. If you go with the Sena, make sure to do the firmware updates to keep up with the improvements over time. It is easy and only takes a few minutes.
  3. If you don't get a good offer: Use it to buy something stupid, then give it to her next Christmas.

  5. I took the kids around the neighborhood on the bike last weekend. In the sunshine I noticed how much salt dust/spray is on the bike. Now I need warm enough weather to wash it. I really hope this storm is the last one.
  6. It is a shame that the weather is too cold to do the meet and greet at IP when the shirts come in. That would be too convenient for old man winter.
  7. Doesn't look as fast or as fun as the one in Austria. It kind of reminds me of the beast, but I haven't ridden the beast in the last 25 years.
  8. Like many of the previous posts have pointed out above, the larger sport touring bikes (vfr, st, fjr, & C14) will have smooth power, wind protection, and the can give plenty of room for storage. If your heart is set on less than 1000 cc, you may want to consider either the new Ninja 1000 or a Wee Strom. There is a good article on last month's Cycle World about the new Ninja. It has add-on hard saddle bags as an option. Both sizes of the V-Strom have a significant aftermarket parts availability. You can increase the windshield size and add on hard cases.

    Ukraine

Does the link have something to do with the Russian military training near the Ukraine? I think allowing gays to adopt the Ukrainian children would not only about Putin, it would annoy 40 something percent of Americans.
  10. Thought this was funny. Not sure if this is a repost from another thread on here.
  11. When I read 200 year old douche found and New York, I thought they found Larry King.
  12. Sounds like you got a good wife. On my old cruiser, my wife used to tell me to slow down before I was even dragging the floorboards. I had to sell my cruiser because the floorboards and freeway bars were getting ground down every time I went near anything with curves. I thought about seeing if she wanted to do the Epic Ride 2 up on the C14, but it would probably just make her real nervous. I want to enjoy the ride. Now with a sport-tourer, I get the best of both worlds.
  13. I can't believe they didn't scrap most of them a few years ago. The price for scrap steel had escalated in a relatively short period of time.
  14. Yes. We ran the flying pig in Cincinnati a couple of years ago, it is hard with kids to go out of town. We have been running the Columbus Cap City half marathon and the Columbus (half) marathon in the fall.
  15. Nothing a good reflash of the ECU can't cure.
  16. There is absolutely no way that a tractor trailer can possibly maintain their lane on that road.
  17. A couple of years ago my neighbors talked my wife into signing up for a half marathon. It took 4 or 5 beers until they could talk me into it. We have since ran 4 half marathons together, and we are scheduled for our 5th in May. I don't particularly like running, but I really enjoy the benefits. At this stage in life, I will never be big and strong. I just want to be healthy and fit. Good luck to all that work on their fitness and health. It is one of the key predictors of contentment in life.
  18. Thanks for the heads up. Universal intercom should be great.

We will have no enlightened conversation here. Only closed minded partisan bickering. Any thought of living within your means will be quickly discounted by both groups of partisans.
  20. Gray doesn't stain like white, and it doesn't fade like black. As long is it isn't hot pink, I can go with whatever color.
  21. Am I The only person that wears a waterproof Redwing or Wolverine hiking boot? What are the benefits of a motorcycle only boot? I wear the same boots riding that I wear during work.
  22. HD stories aren't always enough. Photos of a ladder winged vehicle would be great. Kind of like the photo that has made its way around the internet of a VW car with a bunk of plywood stacked on the roof.
  23. Looks like either the front jacket pocket or tank bag may be the way to go. I may even be able to leave it in the glove box. Tim, this may be useful: http://forum.cog-online.org/index.php/topic,29273.0.html
  24. Can you place the EZ Pass in the clear spot in a tank bag (spot used for holding GPS units)? If not, can I zip tie it to my ram -mount GPS holder that is attached to my clutch reservoir? I don't mind buying an easy pass, but I don't want to buy a mount that I will only use once. I don't travel on toll roads very often, maybe once every few years.
