  1. May need to hardwire to the battery and tuck the USB power outlet under one of the side fairings. It could be zip tied to the air intake tubes for stability. The downside would be to reach in there when you want to plug or unplug your usb chord.
  2. Not sure what year your C14 is. My 2008 has an unused spot on the left side of the instrumental cluster that is symmetrically opposite your auxiliary power outlet. Last year on the Concours Owners Group website forums, someone mounted a USB power outlet in that unused spot. I made a brief search on the forum, but I didn't immediately find the posting. It wouldn't be too hard to do.
  3. FWIW, I have the Garmon 2595 mounted on my left clutch reservoir cap using a ram ball mount. When it rains, I use a freezer bag and small piece of duct tape. I have a ram ball mount on the right handle bar that holds my cell phone. I can see both pretty easily while I ride. I use my phone for music and occasional phone calls. My Sena allows the voicecontrol over the phone's functions. I rarely use my phone for navigation, because it pauses the music coming thru the Sena. I strictly use the gps for directions. I just occasionally need to look at it. It is located so that I see it before I see my rearview mirror. I don't miss listening to the directions verbally from the gps. As far as power goes, my gps is hard wired to the battery. On all day trips, I use my auxillary power to charge either my cell phone or my backup Sena blue tooth as needed. Over some pretty long rides, I have found this set up pretty efficient and cost effective.
  4. I have the Garmin 2595LMT, and it does not transmit through Bluetooth. It does communicate with the cellphone, but it will not communicate with the Sena. I went with this set up, because it was significantly less expensive than a motorcycle specific GPS.
  5. This thread has already gone farther than one would usually expect without a catholic priest joke.
  6. For the same reason that Obama isn't impeached. It doesn't matter about the party. Our government has become power hungry, and it is out of control. Meanwhile, we are slowly allowing our personal liberties to be eroded by both major political parties.
  7. Your shrink sounds thin and sexy. My shrink weighs slightly under 700 lbs and will kick my butt if I get out of line, but she is good for the long haul.
  8. I thought philosophy classes were for teaching people how to make espresso drinks.
  9. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.... Unless Uncle Sam decides otherwise.
  10. "Sure you can trust the government.... just ask an Indian". I am sure that they have our best interests in mind while they hold secretive negotiations. Just like Obamacare. This kind of reminds me of the documentary "Death By China"
  11. Thanks for the info. Does the dual controller include the wires to the battery, or is that another piece to buy?
  12. How much did your entire heated gear set up cost? I had thought about getting a vest, but you still need to get the electical items separate. I ended up getting some oxford heated grips that help, but like you said heated gear is a whole other level.
  13. Note to self: stop at all stop signs in New Mexico.
  14. Obviously your facts are all wrong. We are going to save $2500.00 per year.
  15. My BS detector is definitely beeping. Cracking a windshield with the a hand (no object} while riding a motorcycle down the freeway. That is only slightly more believable than saying they were riding unicorns. Why in the hell do they show the reporter riding around the city in a car? That adds nothing to the news story. What a waste of news time.

    Meth Lab

I hear Meth is a great weightloss drug. (and teeth) My heart goes out to the baby in the adjacent apartment. They will have a long and hard life.
  17. What do you mean? I thought this was a gun forum for people who ride motorcycles.
  18. I sold a car to my uncle when I was 19 years old. He gave me $750 down, and he promised to pay the other $250 over the next couple of months. I was working nearly full time to pay for college. He skipped town without paying. My Dad was right. When I told him, he told me that I just payed for an excuse to never give him money ever again. Apparently my parents had also given him money over the years. My uncle was classy enough to ask for some money while my wife was pregnant. Once I told him things were tight, he immediately got off the phone with me. I have never talked to him since. My dad was right, it was a good investment. I will teach my kids fiscal responsibility and following through with promises (as my parents have taught me).
  19. Too bad someone doesn't pull one of the scams that CL is known for. Then run the numbers on the bike and return it to the rightful owner.
  20. I disagree 100%. When it is nice and sunny out, I see HDs parked in bar parking lots. I am usually on the road riding by when I see them.
