  1. I have an older version of this unit. Based on my experience, I'd say it would take less than 10 mins to warm up that camper, then just leave the pilot running. I've used mine quite a bit over the years and it still works like a champ. I don't have a large tank setup. It will run 8-10 hours continuous on medium setting with a 1lb tank. A 20lb should carry you for the whole week. *edit, just saw intended temps. You might have to leave it on medium.
  2. I had a barn swallow hit me right in the face shield a month ago. +1 for helmets.
  3. Agreed. Compound bow would be more enjoyable, challenging, and rewarding.
  4. How can you "close" a forest? Far as I'm concerned this just means the amenities are closed. Usage of public owned land should still be accessible. I like how they do it out west with BLM ground.
  5. Buckets outdoors has/had? some cci std velocity for $34.99/500 limit two this morning.
  6. I recommend a trip to the Pony. As stated above, find what fits and go from there. I tried all the top brands and settled on Bell.

I'm so over the middle east. When is it someone else's turn to babysit? At this point, even wasting a cognitive thought about the entire region pisses me off. Bring them all home. Let those people deal with their problems as we have plenty of our own which need addressing.
  8. Yeah...screwed up title, no way to edit. Thank you for the route! I rode solo yesterday, but have a couple friends w/sumos interested in checking out the area. We'll be heading back down that way soon.
  9. I thought I had seen someone post its closing, hence my trip to ODOTs page. No biggie. Will keep an eye out for you letting us know when it opens back up.
  10. Rode 78 over to the Ohio today. Was going to try 536 out, but it is closed. I even checked ODOT site before I left...dammit. Had to improvise my planned route, so I rode 78 to the river, then down 7 to 800, back to 78. 78 in good shape all the way over. 7 made me feel at home as its pretty toe-up. 800 in very good shape with scattered gravel and some rough stuff just out of Woodsfield. Clocked 230 total today. Great ride.

I tried to spread the word about Ron Paul in the last election only to get a bunch of confused looks back at me. Have things gotten so bad that when someone says something that makes sense the general populace is unable to understand? No more fake money. More time defending our constitution and less time fighting pointless wars.

  13. Oh and as far as testing "entitlement" peeps goes...won't work and if it does, which life will a drug addict choose? "no more welfare!?...I better get a job as a gas station clerk for $7.50/hr!". Doubt it. Kick them off welfare and pay for a prison cell...which one is cheaper to the taxpayer? I don't condone abuse of assistance, but at this point there is no going back.
  14. Insurance companies usually dictate who gets drug tested. Employers can choose not to test and pay higher rates...pun intended. What a person does with their personal time should not be intermingled with what is done while on the clock. IDGAF if one of my coworkers snorted meth out of a hooker's asshole on the weekend as long as they show up and do what they are supposed to do on Monday. If the government were to mandate testing, they should be the first in line. I am in no way religious, but I'll borrow a quote: Judge not, lest Ye be judged first. I'm not talking about toll booth operators either...senate, congress, administrative, judicial, etc. The main drug problem I see these days is with prescription drugs. Phizer and Lily are the new Pablo Escobar.
  15. If Honda Powersports dealers have the same type of network as a Power Equipment dealer, they know how many are available, when they are preparing to ship, and have freight tracking. Also, a 3 minute telephone call can achieve the same results. I'd be pissed. You could give them another chance and see if they are willing to toss some accessories or something in as an apology. I don't think I would. I hold a grudge like no other.
  16. Stupid USA and all its freedoms! I have never heard of a prybar being blamed for breaking and entering? Computers at fault for online fraud?
  17. Move to a better neighborhood? lol I could never live with an HOA.
  18. Find a local shop and start building a relationship. I'm lucky to have a great shop literally a stone's throw away. Way back when I first got interested in archery they were great helping to get me set up with propper gear and answered any question I had. Is your backyard totally out of the question for shooting? Can you put up a straw backstop? Maybe get some judo point tips and shoot at pop cans in the grass? Skills will improve rapidly with practice and its much easier and more frequent when you can shoot at home. Stick with a smaller shop if you want real customer service. The big outfits seem mostly interested in selling the latest and greatest, rather than what you actually need. Good luck! Stick with it and don't get frustrated.
  19. They don't build em like they used to? lol I'm still running ice cream sandwich, I think. Don't pay much attention really. When an update becomes available, I download it. Im sure I would be pissed too if I'd had the problems you have. Not trying to defend HTC, just relaying my experience which has been fine.
  20. You got a dud? Router issue? Virus? No such issues here. Can watch netflix out on the patio no problem. Top shelf when it was released. Biggest screen, fastest processor, 8mp camera. I went from a Nextel I205 brick to the Evo. Technology shock to the system.
  21. HTC Evo for last three years. Runs internet nearly identical to a desktop. Blown speaker and scratched camera lens have been my only issues. Dropped hard without a case to asphalt twice. Scars/dents but no screen cracks. Battery life is ok. Carrier is Sprint, which not many are fond of. Unlimited data for less than $100/month. I rarely sit at the computer desk anymore as I can do all I need from the phone. Upgrading to a One if this sombitch would die already. My only current beef is memory...it just doesn't have enough. Could remedy with a larger msd card I guess. Can't critique the iphones cause I've never used one, but have friends who've switched to IOS and aren't happy with it.

In a word...yes. The weight of some of these trucks is astounding. It's not because the operators are assholes, its just that equipment needed to do this work is HEAVY. I would say a majority of the trucks are at or over GVWR. Each job site has multiple trucks and water tanks. If no onsite water is available, it must be hauled in...hundreds of thousands if not more gallons of water, and hauled away again during and after completion. There is also the Pad. Heavy equipment is trucked in to prep a 4-6 acre area. Have not seen one under construction, but assume that oversized load type equipment is employed. Then there's the gravel. A lot of gravel...enough to cover 6 acres 4-8ft deep which is also trucked in. I agree that the pipelines do and will do less damage to the roads, but the county and township roads still get their assess kicked. Many times they are the only access routes on a pipeline. The plus side of a pipeline job is that machinery can travel along the ROW, reducing the amount of road traffic. As far as coal trucks go I haven't noticed an abundance lately. Two trains go through Zanesville every day loaded with coal. Dunn trucking used to be all up and down RT22 hauling coal, but now the trucks are carrying limestone to the well pads. I'm not trying to bad mouth mining or oilgas development, but the fact is the roads they travel to conduct business will need repairs sooner and more often than the roads they don't. This is at a time where municipalities, including the state are short on money for repairs as is. I'm curios if any of the additional revenue generated by these industries is kicked back for road construction and repairs? Obviously, there's licensing and whatnot, but how many feet of asphalt does one truck's yearly fees buy?

Many of the trucks I'm aware of are over GVWR in the oil patch. Pumper trucks and Vac Trucks in particular. They just pay the fines and keep rolling. I'm lucky enough to live near three gravel quarries...trucks tear up roads. I'm all for the boom, but there is no such thing as a free lunch.
