I haven't been on it in two years and it wasn't great then. I'll go back once they resurface it. If nothing else, the view before going down the hill to the river is epic (for Ohio anyways). The tar patches over where they ran the culverts across are my favorite feature.

I think I know that corner. A mile or so in from the north side...inverse, right hander. Had a rider go down on one of the only group rides I've been on in that corner.

My scooter is crashproof. (That's what they told me when they installed the training wheels anyways?) I support sticking with traditions!

Not wanting to come off sounding like I think I'm some moto phenom or anything. I am fairly new to the street. Rode dirt all my life up until my late 20's, all types of 2, 3 and 4 wheeled contraptions. Have spent the last 3 seasons trying to ride every curvy route in SEO. I don't log a ton of miles, but the miles I ride are on the good stuff. All the group rides here in my area are always HDs (bar hopping), which usually pace waaaay too slow for my liking. I need to do some riding behind some experienced folks. My self learning has yielded all it can at this point I think. Areas I need to work on: Body positioning. Judging entry & exit speeds. Whoolies. I agree whole heartedly with you Hellmutt. I most certainly don't want to end up jumping in over my head. So the hate group though...what is that about exactly? Do we get to stop and ridicule people and stuff?? Just ride with middle finger up perpetually? Kicking puppies?

I honestly don't know where I should try to place myself. Ride solo 99% of the time so I have no reference. I figure medium is a safe bet? I think I read there will be opportunity to change groups if needed?

Thinking of jumping in. Med group is "full" with 10 riders. I don't see a group listed for Mach Retard? I likely belong in Medium? Does that automatically revert me to the Hate Train Group? (which is fine as I have hate in my heart that I need to let out) Still unsure if I will be free. I'd likely start with you all in Logan and peel off once the route comes back across RT93 near end of route. I may be able to hang in the Med-Fast group? My bike is hella fast, Yo. I ride about 50% of the route regularly.

Go to the farms in your area. Farmers hate deer. Might have to offer to put up hay or something, but worth it to avoid public land hunting. I used to shoot groundhogs for a couple local farms who were happy for me to rid them of the varmints. Don't be scared to knock on doors. Bring permission slips with you, explain your intentions fully. Offer a small service or like you said some of the meat. 669 is an odd one. There are bits & pieces of it almost all the way back to New Lexington. The southern section from 555 to the river is one of my local favorites. The blind hills are what make it fun...though I mostly have it all committed to memory at this point. It's what I call a "terrain" road, as in they didn't have means to overcome terrain when first used/made. 555 is also a terrain road. I'm glad they didn't have the means to flatten & straighten everything out...most all the good riding in SEO are these type of roads in my opinion.

Indeed. If I am advertising on there, I know what I want for what I'm selling, so that's the price I list....take it or leave it. I will keep unwanted junk before I sell it for less than it's worth (to me). Now, if you open up the ad with "OBO" or "Trades considered" you have admitted that your asking price is not the true price and should be haggled accordingly. I've had good success selling on CL.

"price firm, no trades" Goes on everything I sell on CL (which is not much). Still get the occasional low baller or kid wanting to trade Playstation 2 and such. I avoid CL if I can...damned Ebay fees got too high though. Never understood all the trade offers on the stuff in the For Sale section? There is a Barter section for that. It's just a giant, shit-show, on-line fleamarket anymore.

Ride report from yesterday while making a quick shakedown run after a few mods. SR669 is currently being repaved between 93 & 13. Did not ride the section from 345 to 93, but the section from 345 to 13 is minty fresh without lines even. Not a twisty road really, but has some nice roller coaster hills and a few nice bends. Did not want to attempt the section to 93 due to it likely not being finished yet. The southern section of 669 is much more exciting, but these two pieces are very close to home and are part of my quick local routes. Now if they would just do 345 to get rid of the tar snakes...

When I peruse the various "news outlets" comments section support for Trump is easily 10:1. The live stream of the DNC on YouTube has more Trumpets than Dems commenting. I've not seen a single "with her" sign or bumper sticker or T-shirt.
