  1. Good to hear you got it sorted out. Fucker looks like it weighs 20lbs!
  2. Trail package makes the FJs very capable offroad. Good looking rig.
  3. Coil could have been slowly dying. Especially if it is worse? when the saw is hot. Sparkplug cheapest place to start. For the love of Odin, put a filter on it! Mower or saw shop should have a buzzbox to test coil.
  4. Junk fuel. Gasoline goes to shit in a hurry nowadays. If a carburetor isn't too expensive, i'd toss one on it. Engine should have at least 100psi comp.
  5. This also. Check fuel line. My '97 husky had a cracked fuel line where it exits the tank once.
  6. Low compression, or possibly sucking air (crank case seal or intake boot). Leaning more towards low comp. Do you use quality mix and fuel? Ethanol is hard on small engines. May have been running lean due to crud in carburetor or plugged fuel filter. How often do you change the fuel filter?
  7. I had thought that Mrs Thompson had gotten many of the weapons back and had sold some while Terry was locked up. As for the animals, I heard many were shot in their cages.
  8. 5 minutes from my house. Wonder if any of the guns (he had hundreds from what I know) are on the block?
  9. You will love it if you ride one. Tons of useable power, nearly flat torque curve, upright seating position and excellent handling.
  10. The Star will be as loud as the RS-1 if the venting is similar. Good ventilation usually comes with some added noise. I always wear plugs on longer rides anyhow. No issue with workmanship either...everything is tip top. Will be buying a second one this fall.
  11. Love my Bell with presto-chango lens! Why all the other manufacturers aren't doing this is beyond me. Exclusive for Bell? Was thinking one other company offered a self tinting lens.
  12. One of my instructors let a guy in the class borrow his boots literally off his feet. Best MSF instructors ever.
  13. BMW should give this man a job. Skills.
  14. Waste of your time, waste of court's time, waste of tax money. She sounds like a waste of oxygen. I'd wish you luck, but I don't think you'll need it.
  15. After working in a shop for a few years, and seeing lots of different brands and sizes come through I am extremely wary of most "generic" generators out there. The engine and generator set are equally important. Cant tell you how many times I've seen units with Honda engines with gen set problems. Honda, Subaru and Yamaha all use Sawafuji on their stuff. This is why they command a premium. The Sawafujis very rarely fail with normal or even super heavy usage. The voltage regulators and windings are most common failure on the "generics" with parts usually not available locally. If you purchase a cheap generator, go ahead and get a replacement voltage regulator for it...odds are you will replace it at some point. Don't get Hung up on wattage ratings either. It's all about amps. The difference between a true Japanese generator, and a Chinese unit is that one is a purchase, one is an investment. With propper usage and maintenance I have no trouble saying a Honda, Subie or Yamaha will last for 20 years or more.
  16. There's a spray bay a few hundred yards from home I use for rinsing off. Pretty low pressure, but perfect for a motorcycle. Afterwards I ride home and use my air compressor to blow off remaining water. Then I use a cleaner/polish that a friend put me onto. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_x_1770050-P_x_x?cm_mmc=ACQ-_-Google-_-enhancedRM-_-1770050&ci_src=17588969&ci_sku=1770050&ci_gpa=pla&ci_kw=&gclid=CP_92Mih3rcCFZFcMgodEn8AkA#utm_source=acq&utm_medium=google&utm_campaign=enhancedrm&utm_content=1770050 Cuts the bugs and chain lube right off.
  17. It's the new place across from the old Lighthouse bar on 555.
  18. There used to be some pretty cool motorcycle events down at Putnam landing a few years back. I am a Zanesvillian and have no interest in this one. Rt 78 is where my personal bikerfest shall be today.
  19. Meh. Roughly 8 million people in the metro area...subway will still be crowded.
  20. Brand new, never worn pair of Scheme Kevlar short cuff gloves. Size XXXL. They run small and don't fit me paws. $45. Free UPS shipping to Ohio members! http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/alpinestars-scheme-kevlar-gloves-2011 http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg251/speedwayblue/IMAG1725.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg251/speedwayblue/IMAG1726.jpg I also have another pair of these that have been worn half a dozen times, nearly new that I will throw in for an additional $25.
  21. HTC EVO does not like new format.
