  1. Monday is down to 20% rain. Just signed up for Mid-O. Have fun at PIRC! I'll be there at some point this summer.
  2. Haven't ridden there in 2-3 years so I would still be in the N group. I'll probably check the weather tomorrow morning and make the call. 92 is just so hot.
  3. So do i go with the 92F at PIRC on sat or gamble with the 77F 30% rain at Mid-O on Monday.
  4. Don't see what's any different than when we rode there couple years ago from a safety standpoint. And any new pavement has to be better than what it was before. I'm in!!!! I can't wait to get back out there.
  5. That is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! When do track days start???
  6. I'll take the last 2 if still available.
  7. As far as i understand if you are a frequent rider (4+ days/year) you get 1 free cancellation a year. I'm not sure if that is a rolling year, based off last year or what. There hasn't been four days yet this year. Mid-O is an ice rink with any kind of moisture on the track. But they run rain or shine so you are SOL if you are not a frequent rider.
  8. First time down to Powerline Park in Saint Clairesville, OH. What a blast. 1,000 acres of muddy trail riding and drunken festivities. I didn't take my phone with me while riding so the only pictures i have are of camp. On a good weekend, i'm told they get 5-7,000 people. It was packed this time and was told it wasn't actually that bad; all the rain must of kept people away. There was dirtbikes, 4-wheelers, side by sides, jeeps, trucks with 4ft tires, deuce and halfs, really any and everything. We went down Friday morning and rode all day before a lot of the crowd got there. Saturday was a little bit more busy but we stayed off the main trails and didn't really get stuck behind too many people. We had a few people get stuck throughout. One guy had to leave his side by side overnight; it was 2AM and raining like a mofo. Could stand on the hill it was so slick. The main pond/drag was packed from 7PM till 4AM. I found it to get boring pretty quick though, i'd rather be out riding than standing around a bunch of drunken douchebags. I lost count how many vehicles were broken down and left on the trails or being towed out. Overall it was one of the most fun things i've ever done. I really want to get a side by side now but i have no where to store it or the trailer needed for it. I can't make it to this years labor day weekend but plan on going back next year.
  9. That's awesome of them. Truth is one of my fav's. I'll definitely keep a look out.
  10. I'll be there either the 5th or 6th; whichever one has the better forecast.
  11. It looks like Kyle is out of the photography game; his site is down. Is there a new photographer at Mid-O? Anyone know if there was anyone on Tuesday? I thought I spotted someone with a large lens but could have just been a friend.
  12. What a great day yesterday! I think intermediate only had 20 people. I'm assuming it was the crappy forecast all of last week. Everyone already wrote it off as a loss. But i'm not complaining, i had open track almost the entire day. I set a PR of 1:46.2 in the 6th session and was pretty consistent throughout the day in the high 40's. But i am feeling it today, neck and legs are pretty sore. Time to start a thread for June 5/6.
  13. I'd much rather have the kickstand neutral switch. But the outcome of dropping the bike cause of an automatic stand is much better than going into turn 1 (lefty) with the stand down.
  14. Yep. He is a long time friend of David's. I only know him from the track these past couple years. He's a good guy.
  15. David, Brett and I will be there. Stop on by.
  16. Glad you are home safe. Great journey and great pictures!
  17. Since the race harness does not have a plug for the kickstand safety switch, i turned my stand in a suicide stand. Not going to catch me going into turn 1 with the kickstand down. Drilled/tapped new location for spring standoff and used a spring i found laying around the shop. That took a lot of trial and error cutting it down to size. I'll run some safety wire through it just to ensure it doesn't pop off.
  18. Somehow you jinxed me. Finished getting the bike ready last night and I lost a dzus fastener somewhere in the shed while getting the body work down from the rafters. It's only a 8x10 but couldn't find the damn thing. Luckily i have extras from my old bodywork.
  19. BOOOOOO!!!!! That's a good problem to have. But sucks that you can never make the Mid-O track days cause of it.
  20. Dave is planning on coming to Mid-O if the weather gods play nice; currently looking like Tues. I'm not sure if he will be making the trip to PIRC.
  21. I save a week of my vacation days just for track days.
  22. Tuesday is looking pretty nice at the moment. Currently that is my plan, if not i'll be at PIRC on the 20th as well.
  23. Flushed out the anti-freeze and put in water wetter. Also replaced the leaky thermostat seal which seems to have fixed my coolant leak. *fingers crossed* Tonight i'll change the oil, modify the front fender to allow a tire warmer and safety wire everything back up.
  24. I was referring to the first full day on the 8th. The precipitation forecast usually sucks but i don't think there will be a 20 degree swing in the next 5 days. The track will probably have snow on it sunday night. haha.
