  1. Well opening day looks like a bust. High of 58 no thank you.
  2. I'm in North Olmsted so not that close; thanks for the offer though. I'm going to try the shorter stem first. If that doesn't help, Eddy's bike shop is 5 minutes from my house. I'll have them do a proper fitting and if i can't get my bike where it needs to be, i'll see what kind of trade-in i can get. I was just trying to save some money by fitting it myself based off reading online. But doing a professional fitting may be a necessity.
  3. I don't think it's too tall. I'm just too stretched out. Didn't bother me when i first started riding cause i didn't ride too far. But now any longer than an hour riding and my lower back starts hurting. I have the seat all the way forward already.
  4. Ordered a shorter stem. Hoping it will fix my fit enough i don't have to buy a new bike. First road bike, was an impulse buy cause they gave me $400 off and wasn't fitted properly.
  5. I would but that's a mandatory family day. I'll be there that mon or tues most likely.
  6. 2 weeks till season opener! I plan on being there Monday (weather dependent).
  7. Pulled everything off the top of the bike trying to find my coolant leak. It's a very slow leak but a leak non the less. I already did this once this spring and thought I found the culprit with a slightly loose hose clamp. Sadly that is not the case. FML.
  8. I got both tires changed out the door for $48 at Sills. Dropped off sat morning and was ready in about an hour. I just walked around the showroom while i waited.
  9. Tempting as a pit bike i really don't need. GLWS!!
  10. Thanks for all the replies. I called Edge Honda and they want $32.50/tire. I called Sills but was put on service department hold for 5+ minutes so i hung up. I'll probably end up going there saturday morning and drop them off.
  11. My normal tire guy is not available for a few weeks and i don't want to wait until last minute before first potential track day. So anyone know anyone close to cleveland (North Olmsted) that can change tires? Mine and co-worker both need a set changed. Thanks!
  12. Pulled mine and the Mrs. bikes out of the basement and gave them a quick once over and lubed the chain. Went to pump the tires and the pump handle goes straight to the floor, no compression. Borrowing a few o-rings from work today to rebuild it. Hoping the rain holds off this weekend so we can get out.
  13. I installed a google tablet as my radio and been using pandora and google maps for about 4 years now. Tasker is one of the best apps ever created. On the tablet it will turn the wifi/bluetooth/gps on and off whenever the car turns on and off to help save battery. Also keeps the screen awake while car is on.
  14. Thanks for the info, i'll send him a note.
  15. Has anyone tried the Pirelli Superbike SC3's? Sportbiketrackgear has been completely useless in trying to get information. Pirelli's website is not up to date. And the web is mostly useless. They have discontinued the Superbike Pro (trackday tire). And i am wondering how the life is on the SC3's. They are supposed to be an endurance spec tire. I'm leaning toward an SC2 front and SC3 rear. Also, going from the Pro to the Superbike will change the rear from a 180/55 to 180/60.
  16. Would medical cover track riding then? I don't have motorcycle insurance and it's not on the road so wouldn't work anyways. I've been thinking about flight insurance for a few years but never really looked into it. *knock on wood*
  17. Mid-O and PIRC are no where near as bumpy as Nelsons is. It magnitudes of difference.
  18. That has to be just the car pricing. Can't get nearly as many cars on at a time as bikes. They would have to drop the price below $150 for me to even think about going back before a total repave. Last time i was there was 2015 and it was awful. Even the non-pothole sections were really bumpy.
  19. Lame. They need to bulldoze the entire place and start over. Not patch problem areas. Looks like it wont be a viable track anytime soon. Maybe the 2019 season???
  20. The only problem is you never shift out of 2nd gear on those bikes. I think he hit 3rd like 3 times that entire ride and they were cruising pretty good.
  21. Last year there was no 'cutting loose'. They did control riding every session; morning and afternoon. Good for new novice but bad for experienced novice. They really need 4 groups but just isn't enough time in the day to do that.
  22. These are just my opinions. Seemed to work for me. I don't know your skill level and you got cut off at the bottom. If you are at a track day, try braking sooner with more control and better judge your entry speed. Try to get better at going fast through the turn before you worry about braking hard into it. Are you using brake markers? Find a marker and start braking at it consistently. If you are too slow into the turn, find a new marker a few feet later. Repeat as needed until you are turning in while still lightly braking. Again, take with a grain of salt.
  23. I was already leaning toward Q3's this year. Ran Superbike Pro's the last 3 years without warmers. But have warmers for this year.
  24. Those are what i was thinking you guys were talking about. I'm still trying to figure out what i want to run this year. But i don't need a race tire with my pace.
  25. Curious.....what specific tires are you talking about with Dunlop and Pirelli?
