Thanks for the compliments guys. I spent most of my day polishing and waxing the paint, and the pics don't really capture the deep gloss.

No it still has the stock shocks and springs. I've been thinking about it, but I'm in no hurry to change the looks further. No actually that is a year thing, 98s have a painted roof panel, 99 and up were all black. Since you brought it up the black ones all have crappy bubbling issues because of the way they glued them on.

I'm sure most of you have seen an f-body with Torque Thrusts on it before, but for me it's just a continuation of my love affair with my Camaro. It's been almost 10 years since I got the car, and we've done so much since then. Learned so many lessons, blowing up the original engine, building a new one, running 10s in the quarter, and much more. At this point I don't have any goals for the car and this is where a lot of people would sell it. Well I'm attached to this car so I have no plans of ever selling it. Here's what she looked like the last time I took my own pics. Shortly after making a handful of 10 second passes. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0408.jpg and this is what she looks like today, with new wheels and a "zero fucks given" attitude. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0456_zpsb251a3ae.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0453_zpsd543f0ba.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0447_zpsbbe09741.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0440_zps9c273c3f.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0435-1_zps0f3c5d1a.jpg

Great trucks, don't pay any attention to GM's maintenance schedule and you'll have a long lasting happy truck. What I mean is stick to the 3-4k miles for oil changes, not the stupid oil life monitor, and use quality oil since there are more sensitive parts in that engine then just bearings, like cylinder deactivation. Do not wait more then a couple years to change out the coolant. Anyone with a late model GM should follow these basic guidelines. If you don't believe me I'll be happy to explain some of my experiences working on these at the dealership.

Not sure that you're picturing Clay's project. Notice the direction of the ball joint in the picture. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y36/twizzler09/camberbushing.jpg The ball joints press into the spindle on an I-beam truck.
-
Sure you don't want something like this? http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/steering/ball-joint-service-kit-for-2wd-and-4wd-vehicles-4065.html I've done ball joints on older Fords where they are pressed into the spindle with a very similar tool, but it's easier with the bigger ball joint tool set for trucks you'd get from a tool company like OTC. Not very cost effective. Sorry I don't personally own these tools, they are typically shop tools that I've never had to buy.

Cars and Coffee @ Mershon's World Of Cars Springfield Ohio 4/20

Well that looks cool, hopefully I can make one of those this year. -
In order to keep from creating bump steer the tie rod has to be on the same angle as the suspension. Try to picture looking at the suspension geometry from the front, the arc of suspension travel needs to be the same for the tie rod compared to the arc the knuckle takes during suspension travel. If these "arcs" are different you will get a toe change during suspension travel making the truck pull and dart every time it hits a bump. So if the "dream beams" cause bump steer then I would say yes you need the spacers. Clear as mud? ps. why didn't you put this in the tech section?

That's the only drawback, but I just have a clipboard to keep ROs from getting lost anyway. Otherwise the rhino top is extremely durable.

My Dad's stainless top on his Snapon box doesn't look bad after years of use, just kind of dull. My box has the black "bed liner" type material on the top, but the box is flat black so it looks pretty good. My old Cornwell box had a sorry excuse for a stainless top, and I can say Snapon has the nicest tops for wear.
-
Nice box. Must be a custom color, amazing what Snapon will do for you.

Most places who say they can cut it will likely have a sawzall so make sure to ask. If you knew anyone in construction they may have a portable bansaw, a little skill and that will make a nice cut. Good luck finding someone with the right tools, worst case you can go to Lowes in their plumbing department because I'm fairly certain they will cut and thread pipe there so they should have the right tool to cut it off straight.

Wondered how long this would take. I see you still get online even if it isn't CR.

Been in Delaware, but I transfered my plate so I didn't have temp tag on it. Thanks for all the welcomes guys.

Just going to say hi to everybody. Some of you may be on Columbus Racing and already know who I am, but as I get more into bikes it seemed like a good idea to check this site out. I recently traded my Honda Shadow in for a 2013 Yamaha FZ8. The Shadow was a good starter bike and that's exactly what it was for me, but I wanted something comfortable and a little more fun. The FZ8 is working out great so far and is a ton of fun. Already added a slip on, power commander with custom tune, fender eliminator, and integrated taillight. Here's a few pics.

Edit: please see below, bumping a 5 year old thread because my Dad still has this and doesn’t ride it. New price of $2500. Still in very good condition. Posting this up for my Dad as he isn't very internet savvy. This has been my Dad's bike for about 4 years, he is the second owner and just doesn't have the ability to ride anymore. Currently has 7913 miles. New battery last year, and fluids changed, oil changed once a year since it doesn't really get out much. Bike is clean, has Vance and Hines shortshots on it, also has saddlebags. Rides out perfect and is in fantastic shape. Feel free to ask me any questions. Asking $4500obo Here are some pics. http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0428-2_zpse9850edd.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0430_zps9212656a.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0429-1_zps011e6fe2.jpg http://i405.photobucket.com/albums/pp133/ND2RACE/CIMG0432_zpsd19be7fb.jpg

Seriously Paul? After all the years I've known you, you are still looking at retarded shit like this when you actually have a real live woman in bed next to you.

Dyno Brian will be getting online at sometime in the next day or so to voice his opinion. Guy has been pretty damn busy lately.

Sorry I just kind of jumped on that for you, if you click edit on the second post since the first one is too old and you can edit what you need to. -
I doubt that'll be an issue so long as it's only a couple minutes, but I'll double check.
-
