  1. Thats a pretty impresive little Audi. I Lol'd at the school bus photoshop.
  2. I think similar to my Camaro you'll find 17s giving you the most choices and good sizes. I'm sure you would be fine with 18s as well, but you'll want to keep wheel and tire weight down to save on unsprung weight. I suggest putting together a few options and looking at the pros and cons of each. It sounds like you'll be happy with a good extreme performance summer tire on a quality lightweight wheel. You go to a streetable "road race" style street tire at the expense of money and wear. I loved my Toyo R888s I had last year, but they were worn completely after 6-7 autocrosses, 1 track day,and 5-6k miles of street driving thrown in.
  3. Sounds sechsey to me. I think its a cool car. Have even bragged once or ten times about driving it.
  4. I think the answer you are looking for will have mostly to with what tires are in the correct height and width that will leave you an appropriate sidewall. The tire choices in said sizes will also influence the final decision. So it's going to depend on the car in question, which you didn't post. Also if it's a fun driver, or a track car your type of tire will also influence. There isn't one set correct rim diameter, it's a lot of factors coming together to form the best compromise for you and your goals.
  5. I would love to, but with my new job I doubt I'll be taking any days off right now.
  6. I plan on doing at least one this year hopefully a couple, if it wasn't for the new job and the one at mid-ohio being on a Friday I'd have signed up.
  7. Something faster to play with? Hope you can find something you like to fit that bill for you. I am still having nitrous withdraws and I really miss beating on the Camaro. An auto car wasn't my first choice but I do like how it's set up now, mild stall, set you in the seat, and then cruise. I keep going back to the fact that the Camaro is paid off, and I'll feel better blowing money on the Miata in a few years when it's close to being paid off. Not to mention that my Miata has been so much fun that I worry I'll just spoil it if I start fucking with it.
  8. Make more sense that I want to keep it now?
  9. You look at demodding differently then I do. I took some parts off that I wasn't happy with with plans to put different stuff on. I've had a blast with the Miata, and don't need to change anything to keep having fun. The Camaro on the other hand was much more fun before I removed a few things. I already have nitrous to put back on so it would need the rearend to keep it from breaking. I started this thread because I keep flip flopping, but I think I'm leaning towards fixing the Camaro so it returns to the badass car I love.
  10. okay, just buy some name brand fluid then and roll. I'll have to get around to educating myself a little more on the topic.
  11. Well at least all your cars are faster then mine stock. Sometimes I wish I only had one toy so my choices would be simpler, but I wouldn't be able to part with either one anyway.
  12. Idk if the brand matters much, I usually buy Mobil or Castrol ATF. Out of curiousity why dex 6 instead of the typical dexron/mercon fluid that would've come in your car? I'm not really educated on the differences chemically, I just know you can't run the old stuff in a newer transmission designed for dex 6, but dex 6 mixes with the old. So obviously I see nothing wrong with running dex 6 just curious if there is some more info out there that I don't know.
  13. First off, it's a Camaro. The Camaro is alot more fun when the rear-end doesn't fall apart just because I drive it hard. It's already fast enough to drive. The Miata is a great car, just lacks some power and cool turbo sounds (its really quiet for a turbo car).
  14. No such thing as a little to both, the mods are too expensive to do both. There aren't really any cheaper things left to do to the Camaro, wheels/tires, and a 12 bolt are really the only things I want to do. The Miata has a big list, but to do anything power wise like I want to do it would have to get a standalone ($2k) and a few other bolt-ons to make tuning easier. So like I said I can't really do part of anything.
  15. Surprising responses from CR, I expected the Camaro to get some attention. I'm sure the fact that I have so much sentiment towards my cars makes me feel like I choosing between children. I guess the title of the thread should've been why it sucks to be obsessed.
  16. Golf R LOL! Ultimately it boils down to which car I want to play with more this year.
  17. You can't play with them both at the same time, nor can I afford to spend money on both of them either. Well it doesn't really suck, but I will only have enough money this spring to upgrade one of them. I want to put a 12 bolt in the Camaro, it will need it if I plan on racing it much this year. I also want to put some bolt-ons and a standalone ECU on the Miata as this will bump it up over 200rwhp (about 160 now). The Miata upgrades will make it a lot faster especially since it'll have a huge impact on midrange power and turbo spool-up. I love both my cars, and I can't make up my mind. Opinions, comments?
  18. Well I have to put it over a CRV, and yes the plastic window regulators break. Just wait until the rear hatch doesn't open. Any GM car needs wheel bearings.
  19. $50 a month for U-Verse internet only, and $16 a month for netflix and hulu plus. I can't justify wasting money on cable for a few shows I can watch the next day, or just deal without.

  21. Oh dear god, the engine/transmissions are decent if it has the 3400, but the body and modules are shit. Then if its a later one with the 3.6 its a bastard case. More power to anyone who actually likes these but I'd never even consider owning one.
  22. Dodge Neon maybe an LT1 f-body, anything for $3k is going to be something crappy and not very much fun if you rule out imports. Fun american cars hold their value better then that or are shit. Best of luck to your buddy.
  23. Paul- You just posted craig's car (35th ann. Camaro SS wheels), my car, Chad's car with his 20s, and a bunch of vette wheels I'm not interested in. What were you trying to show me? See these? I already bought the rears. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=371&pictureid=2703
