  1. Surging huh? Do you actually have the codes? Those things are bad about a few things (like the spider injector shit, and crappy flat distributor cap), but I don't really see these things surging. Could it be descibed as missing or stumbling?
  2. Awesome, I wasn't expecting that when I opened your thread. Breaking 1000 wheel is really cool.
  3. Sounds like something shorted in the outside unit or the motor took a shit. The outside unit is basically the compressor and condensor units just like a car with a few extra electrical parts, if its blowing that beaker then it has to be in that unit. Tell your Dad to start shopping.
  4. Blowing which circuit breaker? The 220v for the A/C unit? or the one for the furnace?
  5. Thats badass Mark, you've come a long way with that car and obviously your skills have gotten right up there as well. Really doubt many people could pilot that. So how much more can you lean on it? or are you even going to try? Should be a good contestant in the LSx races with it now.
  6. What are you going to do with it? Seeing as how you just bought an LS1 car I'm a little confused.
  7. Reading eludes you. If you don't just want to watch Netfix on your computer you need something that will connect with the internet and Netflix. Here you, I googled it for you http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Netflix_Instant_Watch_Devices
  8. You need a device that supports Netflix (x-box, PS3, DVD or Blueray, smart TV, ect) connected to your TV and the internet, unless you just want to watch it on your computer. I stream Netflix on my wifi-enabled x-box, but I have to have a subscription to x-box live for that. X-box is cool because of the additional Hulu-plus, Cinema-Now, and ESPN apps that I use (other apps are avail as well). Further specifics would be best answered by a techie.

Took the motorcycle to work today, that was a fun ride home. Just beat the downpoor, but keeping a bike upright in those windgusts is a bitch. Just glad I don't live far from work.
  11. SCCA isn't the only game in town bud. Yes, more runs less wait, plus I own a Miata so I enjoy their events.

What the fuck are you idiots bitching about? I bet most of you work in the A/C. :dumb:
  13. Planning on autocrossing at Ackerman tomarow, may swing through early. Anyone wanting to check out autocross should swing over after C&C.
  14. What do you think the people who started this country by standing up to the British were called?
  15. So is the pressure tank still there? I know lots of people who get city water and leave their wells hooked up for exactly what you want. I bet it was abondoned for a reason. If you'd like to jump some power to the wires and see if something happens I'll come over, sounds like a good laugh at the least.
  16. Its pretty easy to modify your steam passages, someone with a little engine knowelege could cut them and insert a short section of rubber hose to eliminate the rear crossover. There are a few ways to remedy that situation, and all LS6 manifolds are the same, just be aware that there are LS1 intakes that came off of early Vettes that did not have EGR provisions looking like an LS6 manifold. The only real way to tell is that the bottom drops down on an LS6, hence why the steam tubes are different on a car with an LS6 manifold. LS6 manifolds came on just about every LS1-LS6 after 01, including f-bodys.
  17. safcII black , 150 What is this thing? I texted you about the boost gauge.
  18. Depends on a few things, but overall I don't mind really. Just picture an engine getting head gaskets put on it, if someone does a shitty job with that it could be worse then putting a whole engine in a car. So in my opinion it isn't a major factor, especially if I did it. My Camaro is on its 6th transmission, 3rd rear axle, and 2nd engine, and the car gets complements every time I take it out. Not to mention its been on the frame rack twice getting fixed after I wrecked it. Honestly the crashes bother me more but I know it was fixed correctly. A car is a lot a person, a good doctor can take care of its issues, a bad doctor can kill it, and a good plastic surgeon can make it like nothing ever happened. One of the things I like best about my Camaro is how many things I've done with it, the character it gives the car, and and the few scars we share. It's my car, and there's no denying it.
  19. Is that the intake I sold you all cleaned up and painted? It looks good. Now you've only got a few months before I collect my winnings, lol.
  20. Nope no autocross this weekend, but its our wedding anniversary this weekend. Autocross the following wekend.
  21. Obviously I think they are great little cars, go sit in a few and see if you can live with how small they are. I'm 5' 10" and it really has its small moments for me, but I live with it fine. The cars are really bulletproof, do the maintanence like you should and they run forever, timing belt, oil/fluid changes, ect. There are many racers who seek out higher mileage cars because the bottom ends make the most power at 100k miles. Drivetrains are built well for stock power and stand up to most mods without blowing up, something that can't be said for most GM cars. Had the 91 I sold ben in better shape (rust) I'd have just stuck to racing it because I loved the car. My Mazdaspeed Miata is an absolute blast, a little tighter interior then the first gen, but a well put together factory toy. I could care less about a rollbar but thats just me, tops are important when looking at them, if you can get the hardtop you're so much better off and keep in mind that hardtops go for $1k-$1200 used so you will pay for it in the cost of a car. Lots of aftermarket, lots of used parts out there since there was so many of them made. The best part is how it is RWD and handles like nothing else for the money. Mine handles better in the rain then my Camaro in the dry, my 91 on Blizzaks handled better in the snow then anything else I've ever driven on all seasons.

    Really?

Really? really? oh well, another thread I brought on myself. fuck it. :dumb:
  23. Cordell

    Really?

well here's the last page of your tech thread. Did you ever get it running right? Hang enough parts on it? I change oil on some of the cars I work on, what's that got to do with anything? I'm a tech, I do maintenance and repairs. You sit on your high horse and try to influence the operations of a website all day. Have a good time selling that car, but I think it would be cheaper to continue buying everything autozone has on the self until it runs good then maybe you could actually get $1800 for the pile of shit. Best of luck to you.

    Really?

So you take said car have multi-page thread about what a POS it is, then try to get people to trade for it. Too Soon, too soon. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104333 and incase anyone forgot. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101733 :dumb: :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:
