  1. I want all your left over exhaust manifolds, I'll give you $20 for the f-body manifolds if you give me back the truck manifolds you aren't using.
  2. Heard lots of good things about AI, cam sounds good too. Let us know how it works for you.
  3. Yes I got your e-mail thats why I signed up, thank you.
  4. Oh well, I was tired and fell asleep at home anyway.
  5. I'm confused about your description, you mean when the key is used in the door it sounds the horn? and after that the vehicle won't start? or just sometimes it doesn't start randomly and the security light is on? The best thing to do is scan the vehicle's theft deterent module for codes, but I'm not sure how to do that other then with a GM scan tool. As long as a factory key is used in the ignition the vehicle should start regardless of whether it has working fob or not.
  6. You act like you've never gotten neg rep before, you should give no fucks.
  7. Lower control arms, and the struts are the most common things to bend, or it shifted the cradle. Things like this can cause poor driveline angles like AJ said. It could be something tweaked about a CV axle (though I've never seen it personally but it is possible). Best thing would be to get it in the air and start looking.
  8. A good alignment tech should be able to tell if something is bent but no it shouldn't effect a vibration directly. If you think something is loose you or a good technician need to getit off the ground and give a good inspection.
  9. Have any codes in it? Sounds like it could be IAC related.
  10. Okay well I signed up, this should be fun. Now to pick up some good brake fluid and double check the Miata.
  11. You guys are funny, and fuck you. Welcome Kyle, this place is at least interesting and full of sarcasim.
  12. You were on 315 remember?
  13. Went crazy? When in my Miata? :dumb:
  14. I have to agree, unfortunatly I'm stuck working in this shit so even though I won't be racing I'm still going to be in it. FML Guess I'll get back to autocrossing when this weather calms back down.
  15. I challenge Wagner and Phil to a race, loser stops posting in the kitchen for a week.
  16. I can speak for GM cars, and I'm sure Hondas are similar, the VIN and mileage are programmed to them usually causing them to error when information between modules doesn't match.
  17. This is a good thought, however most vehicles will not allow the swapping of calibrated components and is not a good idea to try. Sounds like a cluster issue to me since your cruise and such works, the only way to know for sure is to have the dealer test it and even thats not fool proof since it acts up intermitantly.
  18. Damn I'd like to do this but the Miata doesn't have a rollbar, don't suppose the detachable hardtop would pass tech?
  19. Personally on my cars I don't even use a gasket, just a thick bead of the "Right Stuff" (basically black RTV thats known not to leak very easy). I'd coat both sides of the gasket if you have one. I'd clean out the holes but just make sure the gasket seals around them.
  20. Don't have to take the driveshaft off just make sure your looking for movement in the pinion and not the driveshaft's u-joints.
  21. Oh well disregard my previous post if thats the case. The 10 bolt has to come competely apart to correct pinion depth. Perhaps the pinion nut came loose or something was not installed properly. If you grab the pinion yoke does it move up and down or in and out with any play, because it should have none.
  22. If it drives fine it was likely screwed up and "corrected" before you looked at it. I wouldn't worry about it whinning unless it gets bad, they all whine to some degree. However I don't feel that the brand of gear has anything to do with it, people bitch about Richmond gears being noisey, but I had some and after changing the set-up a few times to perfect the tooth contact mine were dead silent until the pinion bearing started whinning again like they all do. I've done a ton of 7.5" 10 bolts and most of them are not perfect on the first set-up, most people are just too lazy to perfect it.
  23. Wow, it looks like a Trutrac, also looks like someone didn't know how to install it. I wouldn't want it in my car, but thats me. I'm at a loss for words.
  24. P0420? P0430 isn't one commonly used by GM, those codes relate to the cats not the EVAP system. Cats going bad should cause a defined stumble when they get bad enough, if that is even the right code. I suppose if were mine I'd clean out the throttle body and IAC valve, best done with the parts removed for a thorough cleaning. You can try that and see if it makes a difference.
