I shut down my MySpace account years ago and refused to partake in such a waste of time. I don't feel like I miss out on much, I also refuse to get a smart phone as I feel like I don't need that either. Part of keeping my life simpler I guess, CR is enough for me.

He sits a little more upright then he usually does, I've driven it, I'm 5' 10", and its about all the way back for me. If I get in his Trans Am I have to move the seat forward a couple clicks, but his Solstice doesn't need moved for me, if that makes sense.

Funny thing is every time that T/A is on jackstands he buys another car, true story. It is a fun car, I can't wait for spring and autocross season.

This was similar to my initial thought. The ground strap getting hot sure sounds like a short on the engine to me, and I'd think it would have to do with the alternator or starter since those are the only two leads that don't have fuses to blow. Hook up the ground strap and see if one of those wires gets hot too.

Big fan Of GM High Tech Performance, but you kind of have to be a big GM fan. I would like to find something geared towards Miatas and autocross, so anybody know about those type mags?

Depends on cost for me, but when a car isn't worth a couple years premiums I don't bother. I only carry liability and comprehensive on my Camaro because dropping collision saved me a good amount, and since it isn't driven much its a risk I'm willing to take.

No, I want to run stock classes at autocross. Thats your thing not mine.

duh. Not making my mind up right now anyway. but as soon as its nice I want to have good wheels and autocross tires to bolt on. I've decided that R-compound is more then I want to deal with, so I'm looking at Direzza Star Specs and the different Toyo Tires.

I'll head up to Doc's if some others want to go and he wants to open it. There are so many different ways to get there and i have a new car to drive.

I have to agree, but the deal I got swapping out the truck I was upside down in really made up for the few things I didn't like. I haven't bought wheels for anything I've owned in 10 years so I'm not sure what or when I'll do something.

Thanks guys, in a lot of ways its more fun then the Camaro and was just such an easier route to take then modding the old one. Even my Dad liked it which surprised me.

I took the rollbar out today so if anybody wants one I'll be putting that up forsale, I have no idea what kind it is but it limits the seatbacks too much for me. I'm pretty excited, even if it is slower then a certain black Solstice.

The suspension is tight, the shocks are not blown, the tires still have good tread on them, although they are just Primewells. The rust is in all the typical Miata places where the top drains in the back of the rocker and the cowl drains in the bottom of the front fender. The floor pans are rust free and the frame rails (if thats what you call the steel under the middle of the car) are in good shape. From I can tell the inner rockers and sill pates are fine. There is a small company making patch panels for these areas that are bad. The top isn't the greatest, as you can see the top of the back window is torn loose. Let me know if you're interested and we can work out something.

Thread title is "I'm going to ...", not "should I", so I don't see the issue. Its a discussion. Not to mention we have a family car, and I have 4 cars and a bike. Yes I'm upside down and I'll still be upside down with about the same term so at payoff time I will have broke even since the car costs less a month and I only have to pay on it for about the same time if I kept the truck.
