    Mopar Nationals

Yeah they've been cruising 79 out in Heath for years, since cruising Brice Rd fell off many years ago. I'm so over this big mess of stupid Mopar ricertastic bullshit that goes onaround this event.
  2. I guess the Anderson's meet is over. I left just before 11 and people were starting to get dumb. Sad. Stuck at work now.
  3. Yeah only someone with dealership level tools can program the keys on those. GM's system is way simpler.
  4. Ideally you'd pull the carpet and dry it out so it doesn't mildew, either way it's a real bite in the ass.
  5. And the award for best post in this thread goes to...
  6. Well see that's the difference between someone who likes Porsche and someone who doesn't. That pile with no drivetrain can just go in the trash. Now I know how people who hate Chevys feel when they see an older Vette in that condition. Of course someone simply ruined that car.
  7. I was just reading the announcement on GM Global, it's giving specs on the GS, Sportback, and Tourx. So it's safe to say we're getting them.
  8. Every time I have gotten quotes from Hagerty or Grundy I just couldn't justify the price. It wasn't until recently they even gave me the opportunity to buy their insurance, and while agreed value is great it would've cost me more then what I'm paying for liability and comprehensive on the Camaro and Corvette through Progressive. I realize it's an apples to oranges comparison, but money is money. I'm not the greatest driver the way insurance looks at me so it's likely that plays a big role in their quote. I also wouldn't be surprised if they wouldn't even offer their service to you based on age.
  9. Ok, but the 2018 is all new and was just announced today. You haven't driven one. I'm looking forward to checking them out when they make it to the dealership. The Lacrosse was all new for 2017 and I really like how the car drives, a few features aside it's pretty cool for a luxury car. Looks like the Regal will be following suit right behind it in the lineup.
  10. I'm really having a hard time doing the late night parking lot thing anymore. Just seems like the stupid level is at an all time high. Maybe I'm just getting old, but it's not really much fun. If I can't sit there and shoot the shit with Doc I really don't want to go, and he's doing a rally.
  11. Damn man. Sorry to hear. Fuck thieves!!
  12. Amazing to me how different CR is today then 4-5 years ago. This would've been a very different thread. Anyways, I appreciate all the positive response from you guys, thanks.
  13. I'm in a good position as far as that goes, and I just keep building leverage to make it better. Thanks guys.
  14. I made this thread August 29th 2012, http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106279 , it was when I first became ASE Master certified. I was rather proud of myself for accomplishing something. Today I feel like bragging again. I am now 100% GM trained, (I was already working on this in 2012) see below. Unlike Mazda (of which I was also certified), or alot of other manufacturers this is where it would stop, however GM has Master Assessments in each of those catagories. A Master Assessment is a one day test, where you have 6 40 minute excersises to complete and pass in order to be a GM Master in that catagory. Pass all the assessments and you are considered a GM World Class technician. This will be the next phase in my career. Now I have only ever met 1 GM World Class technician ever. I have also met very few people who are fully GM trained. So think about that, the chances of you taking your GM car somewhere and actually getting a trained tech is slim. It's sad really. Now I have met many good techs who just don't care about it, or are too lazy. I have met others who simply claim that they "can't take tests good". I however am working at being the complete package, I'm not the best, but I have experience succesfully diagnosing and fixing everything that comes in the door at work. That's rebuilding transmissions, working on diesels, and dealing with hybrids, because those are the 3 things many techs refuse to touch. I of course do not do those exclusively but out of everyone I've worked with techs will do one or none of those. I have a good success rate with all of them, and I am very proud of myself. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1000&pictureid=8841 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=1000&pictureid=8842
  15. Well if you were me you'd be over the Miata thing very quickly and just get a Corvette. I've had both cars, an NA and an NB. Personally they are too much the same damn car. They drive pretty much the same, and while they are fun now when the novelty wears off it'll just be a small car you are likely to get annoyed with just driving around. But hey maybe you like little cars, I got sick of it because other then twisty roads and autocross they are just a small car. So I guess you have to decide if you want a nice one with some goodies on it, or some old track rat with some shit on it. I vote for fix the NA and sell it. Should get decent money, BRG adds value, keeping the matching hardtop adds a lot of value. So let some Miata fag oogle the damn thing, play with the track rat for awhile, and then sell that too and get back to the Mustang.
  16. WTF Clay? I'm going to presume you meant well, but that came off as "you fat unhealthy fuck" do better. Today was much better, stretched this morning, stretched as soon as I got my boots off, and my wife's exact words "Wow you're walking better". I realize that diet and excercise are important, and I think about it, however I would rather die an untimely death then eat vegatables. My diet consists mostly of chicken, beef, and fish, with the typical pepporoni pizza once or twice a week. That is all I eat, nothing else, flat out hate just about everything else. I'm sure it's not healthy but I'm not willing to change and I'll just have to deal with the consequences.
  17. After reading about Plantar Fascitiis that sounds very likely. So I've been doing some stretches and took easy this weekend. Stretching out my calf muscles made an immediate improvement. I'm sure this past week of heat and getting a little dehydrated helped kick this off. Luckily I have a shorter week with some training Thursday and Friday, so I'm looking forward to making some progress in giving them a break to heal some.
  18. It's mostly the heal that hurts, but I feel some pain at the front. I bought a set of those DrScholls things after standing on their little machine before dinner tonight. They fit pretty well, I'll be trying them this week and see if it helps.
  19. I wear Redwings which made a big improvement over past cheaper boots. My feet just ache at the end of the day mostly. I can still feel it the next morning but it improves overnight.
  20. So as most of you know I work on my feet all day, have back issues, and whatever. My feet hurting is kind of just normal. Has anyone tried anything with success? What brings this up is that it's been worse lately. So my wife thought it was worth checking out the good feet store. Well I immediately felt like it was a mistake when I heard their sales pitch. So I refused their free fitting and left. Anybody used them? Sure seems shady.
  21. Are you familiar with the Traverse/Acadia/Enclave vehicles? LMAO, of course I'm kidding, kind of meet your criteria except I can't in good judgment recommend that to anyone. So on a serious note, midsize suvs have kind of fallen out of favor it seems. Crossover vehicle seem to be all the rage lately. What do you guys think?
  22. Okay it's sold guys, it doesn't matter.
  23. That's awesome news, I was catching bits and peices about Nelson on facebook. Hopefully I can find an event or two to make it to soon. I'd love to run my Vette there.
  24. I totally get that, but I don't think it should be sold to the public.
