  1. By sunroof you mean the whole track assembly? I can check on it tomarow, but would need to know what's actually broken.
  2. We have no issue doing Chevrolet obviously, but there are special tools involved in a few Pontiac, Cadillac, and Saturn recalls that we don't have. For example the safety equipment to do the airbag recall on a Vibe we don't have and I refuse to modify explosives without the right safety items. Only certain dealers signed up to handle Pontiac and Saturn stuff, so there are a couple recalls we aren't equipped to do if it's a vehicle that didn't have a Chevy version. Cadillac is treated differently by GM and pushed to go to a Cadillac dealer, we are only supposed to do warranty on an emergency basis. I'm not positive how their recalls are handled but I'm sure they are similar. Hummer, Saturn, and Saab were the same way until they went under, and it seems like the parts unique to them are made of unobtanium anyway.
  3. I just wanted to post that my current employer has decided to sponser CR. Lash is the Chevy dealer in Johnstown just up route 62 about 5 minutes north of New Albany. I am one of two master techs there, and I typically handle most of the Vettes and deisel trucks, I am also the Volt tech. We would be happy to provide service for your GM vehicle and please feel free to request me, I would prefer to work on an enthusiast's car any day anyway. As for the savings we can offer CR members, what I can tell you is that our margins vary a good bit between jobs so while we damn near lose money on oil changes or tires, bigger jobs have some room for a nice discount. Given that info hopefully you guys can understand why we are not setting anything in stone, but would be happy to provide estimates. The parts department isn't much different, and since we are not a large stocking warehouse we can't compete with the internet on performance parts but for most stuff we will be competitive. I have personally talked with both ths service and parts managers and they want to help out and earn your business when they can. The managers all have logins for CR and will get PMs in their work emails so you can communicate directly with them, of course for quicker response you can call the dealership at 740-967-8021. Parts and service is only open M-Thursday7:30-6, and friday 7:30-5. Sales is open on saturday.
  4. The jobs you are in typically have plenty of turnover being on the bottom rung of automotive service. Take the best job you can get and make the best of it no matter what, or you will always be at the bottom.
  5. As everyone has said it depends so much on the car, and what your definition of streetable is. My opinion is to have something with a mild to moderate clutch pedal, idles well, and doesn't let it's mods otherwise get in the way of jumping in and going places. Then inside of those factors make as much power as you can. In most Camaros or Mustangs thats in the 400rwhp to 500rwhp range. Smaller cars won't need as much, and bigger cars are about useless.
  6. As everyone has said, get pads and rotors. Ensure that the hub is clean, and properly torque your wheels. If you want to go a step further to ensure your new brakes last, use a dial indicator to ensure there is no lateral runout. Most will say this is overkill, but you cannot feel lateral runout and it will lead to uneven wear and warped brakes over time. If I've had a customer with severe pulsation I will check this when I'm done to ensure there is no issue with the hub or anything else. and properly torque your wheels!!!
  7. We got Chad's car running, but there are things to finish and bugs to fix. It's going to be close getting it done. I didn't post in his thread because it's his thread to tell about his car.

    Direct tv?

I have DirectTV, it works really well, does typically fuck up in a heavy storm though. We like the package and price compared to others, but if you don't like it you'll be locked in for 2 years.
  9. I only have 1 question, Camaro or Corvette?
  10. WTF is that for?
  11. Looks like the plan for the radiator will work, need to pressure test the cooling system now. I still think we should pressure test the intercooler system too, but I'm excited to see this come together.
  12. Sounds to me, assuming the intake and exhaust is clear, that either the carb is out of adjustment or the piston ring is not sealing worth a shit. If you had cracked fuel lines that were not feeding the crankcase lubrication the damage may already be more then it's worth. I am not an expert on weedeaters and it's hard to judge over the web, but it sounds like a worn out weedeater.
  13. FYI, not all LS1 injectors are the same, some are 26lb and some are 28lb iirc
  14. Couldn't wait on you guys, saw it last night, I don't think you guys will be disappointed.
  15. and suddenly a wild troll. lame
  16. I was born in the 80s so...
  17. How much do you want to spend? I could name a few places I would go for something really nice but expect to spend well over $100 and up. Places like The Ocean Club at Easton, or Texas De Brazil. I'm sure there are plenty more.
  18. this is why I live in Blacklick and work in Johnstown, my wife now works from home instead of Easton. there is no time of day I would want to drive on East Broad Street.
  19. No problem man, glad we could help you out. Thanks for the kind words.
  20. Maybe, quite possibly.
