  2. Well it sounds really good, and it looks like a big fun toy. Cool.
  3. I'm a maybe pending on how my afternoon goes.
  4. I was surprised to see this on Craigslist of all places, but here it is. http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/4273357704.html
  5. So whats going on this weekend?
  6. Well he still has to live with it for a couple years, ugly is still ugly no matter how cheap it is.
  7. Hey guys your cars are gay. And so are you Farkas
  8. The Mazda 3 is such a better car then a Mazda 2, the Mazda 2 doesn't sell well because the 3 has just about the same MPGs. I would steer towards the new Skyactive engine if it was me. I like the 3, and they are worth the money IMHO. Now I am also a Chevy technician and the Cruze is not a bad car either, I really don't have to fix much on them. I really like the Sonic for some reason, maybe it's just the dash layout that I like when I drive one, or that it's faster then my 4 banger S10. Anyway test drive a few different cars and see what you like. Those are the ones I'd consider, but I also have experience working on them and that greatly effects my opinion. Worst advice I've ever seen you post Clay. Kia and Hyandai have horrible fit and finish, I seem to remember you making a thread about that. http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115465 The Mazda 2 doesn't sell well for good reason, it's stale technology that doesn't even beat the bigger Mazdas in MPGs. I'm surprised they haven't pulled the plug on it.
  9. I have been turned on to some of the smaller clubs that do autocross the last few years, Buckeye Miata club, United Ford Owners, and Corvette's of Troy are a few of my favorites. There are lots of things at Trails and Kilkare if thats more your thing, I usually make it out a few times a year to the drag strip. Depends on what you want to do, but I'm sure you can find some things that interest you. and Cars & Coffee is a nice way to start off your weekend every saturday morning.
  10. Why does none of this surprise me?

    Medical Update

I still shocked, and can't imagine dealing with something like that. Don't feel like there's much I can do but send my well wishes, but if you want someone to come make fun of you in a really lame way to cheer you up just let me know.
  12. Too bad the event is so far, I could see going to watch that if it was only a state away. Looks like a much more interesting acceleration event to watch then most drag racing.
  13. been taking a break from CR and getting through the holidays. If your mom wants to bring her Cruze up to Lash I have no issues working on it for you guys. Just call service and tell them you're friends of mine and we'll get it in.
  14. I was looking forward to another one of these since I missed the first one. I will be there.
  15. Good to know there are some good people out there that care about you. My best wishes to getting this under control.
  16. While I'm not an advocate for mechanic in a can, Lucas makes good products, so if putting something in there for a little extra insurance is your plan I'd go with that.
  17. If I was deaf I might just try blocking phone calls all together, nobody can borrow my phone and it serves the texting/online stuff that way.
  18. Boy I bet your technicians love that, look at something for free that has little chance of earning them a paid job because if they find a lot wrong with it the buyer won't even buy it. I don't want to argue about why techs get paid the way they do, but if I'm not getting paid any labor you aren't getting a a very in depth look. The vast majority of techs get paid per job and if they get paid hourly they don't set their sights very high. I make more then twice what the average hourly tech makes because I turn a lot of hours and do a quality job, I am motivated. I guess my point here is that you get what you pay for. You know if you walk in and know Derek he is going to take care of you, and sure going somewhere and paying doesn't garantee anything because there are still lazy ass people out there, but going somewhere free isn't normally the best thing to do.
  19. Any shop should be happy to do a full inspection. I've done a few at just about every place I've ever worked. If you don't have a regular mechanic now might be a good time to find one. A dealership wouldn't be bad because at least the tech should regularly be looking at similar cars, but expect to pay around $100. Most places are going to be about an hour labor, and should be driving the car, pulling wheels, and doing a thorough inspection.
  20. This thread has run its course, it's not the kitchen guys.
  21. Read my mind. I'm all for people posting stuff for sale but you can't assume that just because you're familiar with it that anyone else is.
