  1. Look up Wellspring, they are local and the few people I met were really helpful.
  2. Yeah, and its possible, but it usually doesn't cause it to stay on after the car shuts off. Typically it only stops working on low speeds. The harness and/or resistor is usually melted or burned.
  3. It shouldn't run at all, power comes out of the resistor right next to the motor. I'd start by checking the wires to the resistor and make sure voltage moves to each wire when the speed control is switched. Sure seems like the speed switch is shorted in the control head.
  4. Couldn't agree more, very cool.
  5. Sounds like a good plan. I have to agree with whoever you talked to, usually there is a weak link in there that bends first and hopefully a tech experienced in that vehicle will have no trouble pointing it out. Subarus seem to bend control arms, same with Mazdas, seen plenty of bent inner tie rods, and GM seems to bend struts sometimes. Even still some cars will have the cradle shift, hopefully yours is not a big deal. I wish you the best of luck getting that fixed up.
  6. That sucks, this is why I leave my Miata and Camaro parked all winter. Glad you're okay, losing control can be way worse.
  7. Great another Vette owner more concerned with how it looks Not sure what you'll find, those brakes aren't just for looking good, good luck finding something that won't show dust.
  8. Okay well, calling Darwin.........
  9. Today I'm thinking 408ci LQ4 with a big thumping cam, loud exhaust, in my Camaro of course. Lots of time to keep dreaming and plenty of parts to buy that I'll need either way I go.
  10. I worry about all the extra shit involved, besides when you try to take fantasy land into reality any of the shit can and will eventually break.
  11. Medicines have their place, but going to a doctor and trying some is no place to start. Besides a psychologist typically doesn't prescribe medicine, a psychiatrist does that. Pretty good difference between the two professionals.
  12. This sounds familiar, but it was my wife dealing with me not the other way around. I don't know the severity of your wife, or what she would be willing to do, but after many fucked up events in my early to mid 20s my wife pushed for me to get some help and I did some counseling. Helped me a lot, your wife may need more then that, but simple counseling would be a great place to start. Someone like that would at least get you pointed in the right direction.
  13. So this doesn't look similar? whatever.
  14. That just screams GTR to me.
  15. What is it with you and a gearvendors overdrive?
  16. One of my favorite ways to waste time is to dream up a car build. So since I doubt I'm the only one who does this, lets share what we've dreamed up. What I've been thinking about all day is putting a forged 370ci LQ4 in my Camaro, custom cam, and a Procharger F1A. I would over spin the blower and use a wastegate in the boost pipe to regulate boost about 10-12 psi and see if i could make around 800hp with it. This should make 10psi really early in the RPMs and keep it there like a turbo. Build a 4L80, and a Moser M9 rear. Should make for a 9 second street car. That would be cool.
  17. That has a really cool look to it, simple and clean. I really dig that it's an Olds when at first glance I bet people mistaken it for something else.
  18. Well they waste no time growing do they? You can tell he's your son, I can see the resemblance.
  19. Get me a 2XL, I'll give you some cash next time I see you.
  20. Looks like 2 fuses to double check, and I'd start at the relays checking for signal and bypass them seeing if the wipers will run.
