  1. Probably will have a smaller crowd. If so I can sweep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Ok fellas, the ride will be a go... I'll understand anyone backing out last minute due to weather. Hope to see everyone tomorrow! Legal Disclaimer: If we do run into serious weather, I'll advise everyone to seek shelter immediately. Probably planned to just roll through, but if we see your bike, we can make a quick stop. Beverly was the original gas stop....
  3. Link me some weather sites that are saying it's okay and I'll take a look at it. Weather Underground is what I'm using and I've found it to be fairly reliable in the past.
  4. Well guys, it's not looking good. I'm going to wait a few more hours before making the official call. Rain, I don't mind, but I just don't know if putting a ton of motorcycles on the road during thunderstorms is the best/safest idea. If the forecast doesn't change in the next few hours, I think we are going to have to cancel the event for safety reasons. This is not official yet, but just giving everyone an update as to my thinking. New Concord is at about 65% chance of Thunderstorms from 1-5pm, which is right in our wheel house. And this saddens me.
  5. You need to do rides on the weekends so us working people can meet you.... Like the Epic Ride this weekend, which is still questionable due to weather, but looks like I may still go with it, so if a little potential rain doesn't scare you, we'd like to see you out there.
  6. Yep. I'm an asshat because I mention that bikes lane split all the time and if a car did something to try and take you out as you were lane splitting we would all be in up in arms about it, but if a car does it back, they are wrong also. We can't have it both ways. Take measures in your own hands a bike and stay alert. Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So when we do it on bikes, it's okay, but when they do it, they are asshats and you hit their window? How would you feel if you were lane sharing and they opened their door as you were coming by? Just shrug it off and keep riding.
  8. The moment of anticipation. I feel it coming very soon... excited to see what Nivin is leaning on in a couple days!
  9. Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to seeing you at the Epic Ride. Hopefully you'll enjoy the experience! It's what it's all about!
  10. Forecast for Saturday isn't looking promising. Hopefully it changes! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Eh, I disagree. I think most riders can break down their own crashes and learn from them without others making fun of them. Even some riders, who don't want to take responsibility for their own crashes and try to blame other factors, can at least internally know where they f'ed up. This crash had a multitude of factors that all added up to a crash. I think the most important lesson from this crash is that their is a time and place for fun and then their are areas you need to be much more cautious. For the area, he should have been a bit more cautious. Either way, I'm just glad the rider is okay and the bike can be fixed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Most of the damage the bike took was from the bike sliding into the curb. The oil case took a shot and the rim of the tire took the blunt damage from the curb and oil started pouring from the case. Curb also sheared off his left rear set, turn signal, bent his clip on, and other cosmetic damage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. As I watch the video on my computer, it does appear he is riding a bit twisted which alters the center of gravity. This could also have played a part in the crash.
  15. I didn't see anything specific that would have caused it, but more a combination of possible factors: cold tires, suspension not setup, too much throttle, inconsistent throttle, concrete was chopped up and not same level. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Triumph Daytona 675 crashes in front of me! Heading to qsl in valley view with tall Tracy and some of her friends and I video the one guy crashing in front of me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Anyone going to head up there tonight? Guess it's first official bike night - I might head up and get some wings, check out some bikes, and watch some of the CAVs game. Let me know if anyone will be up there.
