For anyone who thinks it will be okay to ride, you are welcome to go out and test the 'waters' anyways. Nivin made a great point about this ride and I think I needed to adhere to his advice. Not everyone riding in this event are experienced riders and adding wet roads/rain to this group ride I think would only end in disaster, so that's why we moved it to the rain date. Plus riding in the rain sucks, but adding only 58° makes it even worse. Tomorrow looks much clearer and leaves more a much more fun ride.

Unfortunately the forecast has moved the rain right into our path of when we will be riding. We created a rain date for a reason. We are going to push the ride back til tomorrow. Sorry for the last minute notices. I was really trying to get this to go today. Tomorrow looks more fantastic for better riding anyways. For everyone's safety, I don't want anyone getting sick riding in the rain at 55° or crashing. Back to original start time Sunday Sept 13, 2015 at 11am.

Oh i got you... understandable... all about being safe... don't see any sort of front behind the current one over night so we should be good...

WE ARE A GO! RIDE WILL START AT 11:00 AM. No front in behind the current front. Should be clear by the morning. If anyone backs out I understand. Roads might be wet early, so show some caution but by the time the ride starts we should be clear. :Crosses fingers: Still plan to bring food and everything so even if you don't want to ride, you should come out and hang out! Wear your shirts and we shall see you guys around 10:30 at the meet spot.

I'll make the final call tonight about 8pm - 9pm. Also, Just a random side note, if anyone wants to make a donation to the church can give me cash at the meetup. I'll be sure to meet with the lady and give the donation. Again, not required by any means, but if anyone wants to do that, they are certainly welcome to.

All the forecasts are calling for a slight chance of rain early but it's all slight chances and the most I saw was .09 inches for the day so we are a go unless something changes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Like most everyone is saying, you need to wear gear. A full face helmet is best and ALWAYS wear gloves. The first you thing you are going to do in a crash is put out your hands. Imagine if you were to crash and get serious rash on your hands, what would you do? If somehow you got rash on your legs, that would suck, but you could still function. You get serious rash on your hands and you are basically incapacitated.

I'd bet bottom dollar it somehow was intentional. Too convenient to occur just after Sturgis.

Decided to go Sunday Bum day and hang around the house. Sucks cause I wanted to ride, but I've already got 8 points on the license so probably best I didn't go out hah
